A square yellow sponge named SpongeBob SquarePants lives in a pineapple with his pet snail, Gary, in the city of Bikini Bottom on the floor of the Pacific Ocean. He works as a fry cook at the Krusty Krab. During his time off, SpongeBob has a knack for attracting trouble with his starfish best friend, Patrick. Arrogant octopus Squidward Tentacles, SpongeBob's neighbor, dislikes SpongeBob because of his childlike behavior.

"Gary Come Home" is still one of the most heartbreaking songs I've ever heard. And I love it, such a bop. The whole episode tugs at the heart strings. And the reunion is so sweet.
9:25 Even Cody is sad by the song and episode.
9:52 Bruh, you cannot tell me Nick wasn't this close, THIS CLOSE, to straight-up calling Patrick a dumbass!! 🤣🤣🤣
He was pushing it there.
Watching “Have You Seen This Snail” was a good reminder to me to take care of my pets and not neglect them.
And also dont overfeed your pets
@@moneylover318 It gives off both sides of the message. Care for your pets, but don't go overboard with feeding them too much food. But if your fattening up your pets to kill them, then you are not caring for them at all and have no remorse. "Have You Seen This Snail?" is both really sad, yet really dark at the same time.
And to not be too hard on your pet as well like how SpongeBob messed up for being a jerk to him that led to the whole mess happening.
@@moneylover318And eat them
There's a common theory with the grandma that's she Overfeeds her pets and they all die. But since she's so confused, she keeps mistaking the next snail as her snail
Yeah she overfeeding them but I don't think they die from over they die after she overfeeding them then she eats them that's what she was going to do to gary good thing gary escaped
This is also a chilling episode because of that
@@joelramnarineShe feeds them intentionally to fatten them up then eat them. Then acts as though the next stray she finds is one that went missing so people will be none the wiser. Also notice she isn’t caught so will keep doing this.
The song “Gary Come Home” makes me cry every time I listen to it, it’s a very underrated emotional and sad song. 😢
I agreed
If only the episode didn't present Spongebob as the worst pet owner, and frankly character, in the universe.
Cody's reaction at 9:25 says it all.
“Skill Crane” definitely works as an allegory for gambling, Squidward really got hooked on it.
i have notice that Skill Crane works as a Allegory for Gambling.
Crane games are basically slot machines for kids
"Have you seen this snail" is actually a really sad episode. I know how it is to lose a pet 😢. And I wouldn't wish that to anybody else.
Yeah, losing pets, whether they are lost, given up, or passed on is a terrible thing. Had to give up my pet dogs several times, all because the homes I moved into didn’t accept pets.
It’s very sad…
"Have You Seen This Snail?" is also really dark with the grandma being an implied snail killer/shell collector/whatever.
Yeah! But it’s important to not be too hard on your pet as well considering that not only Gary ran away cause he was not fed, but SpongeBob was mean to him as well that almost ruined their relationship unless SpongeBob can wake up to reality and realize Gary is more important to him than the paddle ball challenge.
This episode is sadly i was really crying at this episode
I LOVE Patrick’s lines in have you seen this snail🤣
Me too.
That part when Squidward yelled “Get out of my house!” has been in a lot of memes.
I can see why.
I still cant hear the "Gary Come Home" song without tearing up, hits all the right spots.
Fun fact:Grandma is count Amy Pohler, who voiced Joy in inside out
They can just look it up for themselves.
Dude, how have I never noticed that?!
@@MasterBuilderDragon I had a hard time believing it the first time too.
Amy Poler also voiced Bessie Higinbottom from The Mighty B!
@@morganghostbusters-egonfan And both her roles as SpongeBob Grandma (2005) and Joy (2015) were a decade apart from each other.
Have you seen this snail? is one of my favorite episodes. Gary comes home song made me cry. That Granny actually overfeed her pets until they died and ate them. That's why she was feeding Gary so much so she can eat him. She's so dark and creepy
🎵🎵🎵🐌🐌🐌😱😱😱😭😭😭
thats what i always thought but someone had a different perspective
9:54 would've been funnier if it said "You're tearing me apart Lisa" lol
Oh hai mark
*“SECURITY SYSTEM TAKES CONTROL OF SQUIDWARD’S HOUSE-”*
Gary come home is the saddest song ever
It still makes me cry.
2:01 A SpongeBob SquarePants Special
2:11 Have You Seen This Snail?
12:04 Skill Crane
16:56 Good Neighbors
To this day, I wonder whether Grandma deliberately stuffs her snails until they die from overeating so she can consume them, or she clumsily overfeeds them.
thats what i originally thought but timothee reacts and clarisse believe the latter
I think it's the latter. She probably has a memory problem (severe disassociative amnesia or something) that caused her to unintentionally overfeed the snails.
I like the moment in "Good Neighbours" where Squidward finally snaps at them! The only thing missing in this scene would be guest star appearance from JK Simmons. He would've fit perfect in this scene because you know, he's known for playing hot tempered characters.
Why would Squidward briefly be voiced by a different person? That makes no sense.
@@mariobroultimate1808who cares
It would be cool .
On the plus side, JK Simmons does actually have a voice cameo later in the series.
@@isaacstevenson2960 Maestro Mackerel in "Snooze You Lose".
At least we got J. K. Simmons in a much later episode called "Snooze You Lose" which also heavily involves Squidward.
Good Neighbors is so crazy. I know how Squidward feels about having annoying neighbors. Spongebob and Patrick always drives him nuts and suffer him every time. He got karma in the end
😡😡😡🤣🤣🤣
Good neighbors is one of the funniest episodes of this season. Especially seeing Squidward explode at SpongeBob and Patrick.
To me this is one of the worst SpongeBob episodes I've seen
@@lexramstudios1386 I agree, but there are far worse episodes than that one.
@@JaxNovoa509I found the SpongeBob amnesia episode worse than this episode. The Good Neighbors episode was somewhat mean, but still relatable and funny as Squidward’s anger was somewhat justified at times. The amnesia episode in my opinion had no reason to be so mean spirited that SpongeBob didn’t deserve the crap he got from his friends.
“Good Neighbors” is a great example as to why some of us, like me for one feel bad for Squidward, understanding why SpongeBob and Patrick drive him nuts.
S&P drove me nuts watching that episode lol, Squidward can't catch a break this season
Squidward maybe a selfish know it all who has this delusion that he’s handsome and better then everyone else but not even he deserves to be stuck with these two as neighbors
The episode in which Spongebob & Patrick were devolved from likable & kid friendly characters to irritating morons.
We? Who tf is we??
Stop using we when you mean "I" and stop speaking for an entire fan base challege
There was a whole sweepstakes where Patchy travels the world looking for Gary.
You entered where he went, and also had the opportunity to type a message that would've played on a ticker tape.
Oh yeah, the Where's Gary? Sweepstakes that had Patchy and Tony Hawk searching the world for Gary. If only Tony Hawk could appear or guest voice in the actual show. Plus, Tony Hawk has appeared in Rocket Power, The Casagrandes, and more recently The Really Loud House so him appearing in Nickelodeon shows is not entirely out of the question.
“Gary Come Home” is the saddest song to listen to especially after losing a pet man
The song hits home.
13:05 "Hmph! Beginner's luck."
I relate to Squidward on this one. I went to the arcade a few weeks ago and had that same reaction when my little sister and cousin got a few prizes from two crane games on their first few attempts. I even witnessed it. My cousin gave me one of her prizes (a plush Minecraft Creeper), which was nice of her.
20:01 Wow. Squidward's voice actor must've had a sore throat after this episode.
It’s always funny when Squidward goes a little unhinged. 😅😆
“Have You Seen this Snail” is such an emotional episode. I cry all the time
The fact that Spongebob didn't feed Gary it his fault that he ran away in the first place. And the toy machine really is a very game to win. Also Squidward's home coming to life was very amazing.
20:03 lol haha squidward looks so furious and the way spungebob and patrick got jumpscared lol
SpongeBob and Patrick had to learn the hard way that that when Squidward says to back off that he meant it seriously here.
This actually made me cry because it reminded me of my grandfather who passed away in 2020! Me and my autistic brother used to watch this when my grandfather was still here!😭😭😭😭
Oh boy. You've reached Good Neighbors. At least it spawned a couple memes.
This show will alway be my childhood.
Skill Crane is such a relatable episode. Those things are straight up gambling for children. Fortunately, I played them enough to end up being SpongeBob in the situation.
14:58 Idk why I just love that clip of Squidward using his freaking eye just to turn on the tv…
It's so random.
Poor Squidward he never gets a break from SpongeBob and Patrick🤣😅✨️💖✨️
"Skill Crane" is one of my FAVORITE SpongeBob episodes of all time!!! Glad to see you react to it, Cody AND Nickflix!!!
Gary come home has never failed to make me cry since i was 4 lmfao
I feel like the Gary come home song would get to any pet owner
12:32I love Claw Machines, but I swear they are PRACTICALLY ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE to win. Every now and then you can get a prize, but most of the time, the toys are packed together so tightly, it makes it impossible to win anything.
Gary come home makes me cry everytime 😂
The have you seen the snail was the most emotional episode ever. I always start crying as soon as the song starts. But the grandma always creeped me out as a kid.
9:25 I feel ya Cody. This episode was playing on Tv a few days ago and I was watching it because of nostalgia and I myself started to tear up lol
I was just going to say that.
Grandma has The Clapper at 7:21
Why didn’t Patrick tell SpongeBob that he saw Gary the shop? 9:07
The Lisa proposal was hilarious at 9:55.
The slap gets me every time at 9:58.
16:27 The crane looks like a helicopter that can fly but moves great in straight lines.
This hits different after being a pet owner.
One of my cats ran away. We never knew what happened to her. We think she was too friendly and someone picked her up.
Trust me, it never stops hurting not knowing what happened.
Gary Come Home is by far the saddest song in the whole series, coming from someone who’s never lost a pet. Season 4 is honestly great, don’t listen to the people saying that it’s terrible.
17:27 not sure if it's still done this way, but newspapers have a special edition released only on sundays that are packed with WAY MORE pages in it than usual. just a slight exaggeration of how chonky the sunday paper is!
You guys had me laughing so much with when Squidward was making fun of the kid
I love you guys! You see SpongeBob for all the good and funny moments instead of talking about and only acknowledging the bad. And it seems your opinion of what is okay and what isn't hasn't changed by the post-movie era, unlike most people who used to think messing with Squidward was funny in the first three seasons because they grew up with it. But now hate it when it happens after the movie because they're unaware that they've grown up and its no longer their style of humor.
A lot of the hate is very hypocritical.
22:11 My favorite moment of “Good Neighbors.”😄
9:25 Glad I'm not the only one, my family makes fun of me but even just hearing snippets of the song with the imagery (especially when he sees Gary in the clouds and when Pat pulls him away he's still looking at that cloud) makes me super sad
In "Have You Seen This Snail," The First Song "Gary Come Home" Is Song By Stew, The Second Song "Where's Gary" Was Song By Tom Kenny & Finally There's A DVD Of The Special Episode.
Guest star appearance: Granny is voiced by Amy Poehler, who everyone should from her role in Girls Club and the voice of Joy in Inside Out!
The voice of Joy.
And they can just look it up for themselves.
But I think SpongeBob has got to stop mentioning special guest in the opening credits, and start mentioning them in the end credits.
@@spongebobsquarepants6096 At least the SpongeBob movies don't mention special guests in the openings.
Squidward is having a Bad Luck 14:22
I love how you two are basically disappointed parents when it comes to these characters.
If you continue past Season 4, that’s gonna be VERY entertaining to watch you judge them.
22:28 No, that's NOT mayor of Bikini Bottom. Minor spoiler: The boy Bikini Bottom mayor gets replaced with a new girl mayor starting in season 12. Also at 9:25, yeah I'm sure that's the kind of reaction from "Have You Seen This Snail?" that some people were hoping you would have.
It's a shame Aaron Springer left Season 4 after storyboarding Good Neighbors. He and Paul Tibbitt wrote "Have You Seen This Snail?" together, and they each made legendary episodes in the pre-movie era. Luckily, he comes back in season 5 with his writing quality mostly intact, but the 2 years or so without writing for SpongeBob definitely still affected his writing a bit. Still great episodes and great seasons.
P.S. The animation for "Have You Seen This Snail?" is amazing!
this is my 50th rewatch of spongebob and it never gets old
Have you seen this Snail episode part: A long time before I move to Washington, I used to have a kitten when I was young. I did everything for my sweet kitten. Suddenly, he’s gone. I search him everywhere and I called him. He’s been gone for two full weeks. He came back and I was glad he’s safe. Where I used to live, it was surrounded of coyotes.
Hey, Cody! How's it going man? I'm glad you enjoyed Good Neighbors. Even though a lot of that episode was torture to Squidward, there were a couple meme-like moments. About Skill Crane, Squidward was a jackass, but he got what he deserved and it was good that he got a victory after his pain. And as for Have You Seen This Snail?, that episode could definitely bring tears to one's eyes. Oh, and just so you know Cody, your next SpongeBob video will be another special + 2 regular episodes video, as the next episodes are Dunces and Dragons (a special), Funny Pants, and Selling Out (two regular length episodes).
Dunces and Dragons is pretty creative and nostalgic to me ❤.
@@jarekmiller4337 Anyone could enjoy it.
I actually checked. It would take just over 238,000 years of non stop paddling to beat the Dirty Bubble challenge.
Wow 😳😳😳😳😳
The “Have You Seen This Snail” episode is one of the most depressing episodes of SpongeBob. Cause I feel his pain every time I see this episode
Trust me Cody, your not the only one who gets emotional at Gary's song. The last verse always makes me tear up and I've watched the episode when it came out years ago. Great reaction as always boys. Also, have either of you heard of 'Holes " ?
9:25
Get out of my house 22:11😂😂
Poor Squidward, man 😅
20:02 Squiddy's had it.
One of the rare times I root Squidward on that cause his anger was justified due to the antics driving him too far.
@@jarekmiller4337 Yea.
14:38 to 14:54 Is such a great moment. 😅
21:33 My favorite part of the whole episode just seeing Squidwards tiki house go on a rampage.
09:26 I always cry with this music 😂😂😂
You two are now ready to watch the other two Spongebob movies now
the first two episodes are my favorite ones 🔥
Have You Seen This Snail made me cry all the time when I saw this episode (BTW, the Squidward screaming in the bathtub scene is the best part in this episode, and even became a meme). However, Skill Crane is the best one as a guy who loses Mario so many times as a kid, and Good Neighbors is not as good as I remember. Who the heck designed that security system that not only has free installation despite being expense, but can also turn people's houses into giant robots that randomly attack the city that results the deaths of innocent people? I would've sue the man responsable for this, and not Squidward who is just a customer!
The grandma in "Have You Seen This Snail" was trying to fatten up and eat Gary.
I have not looked at Squidward's house the same way since I watched Good Neighbors
Great reaction. 👍
Glad u guys r enjoying season 4 so far! :)
i cant wait for you guy to get too dunces and dragons
in season 4
That episode is nostalgic to me ❤.
Good Neighbors was the start of the dark era for this show!
The funny thing is, Good Neighbors is widely hated for being seen as the true beginning of a series of episodes referred to as Squidward torture porn, where the show just torments him for no reason, unlike the first three seasons where more often than not, his suffering was partly his fault. Many also felt that it made Spongebob come off as too unlikable.
16:38:don't worry about mr.krabs,at a quarter a pop it pays for the damages to the krusty krab in no time
Have you seen this snail? 11/10
Skill Crane 10/10
Good Neighbours 3/10(I respect you guys if you like it)
Nice profile.
@@spongebobsquarepants6096 Thanks,👌👌
I just googled it
Completing the dirty bubble challenge would take over 280,000 years
Thanks for the reaction
17:29 LMFAO
21:10 Squidward’s house has legs!
9:27 I know man. I also tear up on this episode.
Squidwards house is now alive.
The song search for gary was glorious and little sad
20:11 fish: hey! Did those guys just called you squidward?!
Squidward: no no no they said squillam!
Fish #2: oh! I knew this guy was a phoney from minute one! I’m getting outta here!
Fish: yeah me too I’m getting my tuition back!
Squidward: no wait!
(Fish talking)
Squidward: no! You’re not going anywhere! What? What’s going on here?!
Officer fish: sorry professor your little sympathy is over
Squidward: but-
Officer fish #2: (takes the wig off) no unibrow squidward Q tentacles I’m placing you’re under arrest for impersonating a geinius
Omg I love the Good Neighbors Episode

12:03 The episode that got me into the claw machine. Still winning at them to this day thanks to SpongeBob! 😃
3:38 Awwwwwwwwwwwww.

20:02 YES I WAS!
Granny really scared me when I was younger, she just kept overfeeding Gary 😟

He did. He just decided not to tell Spongebob.
Where everyone cried
*Gary Come Home*
