Small detail, but the director confirmed that when Donkey transformed into a horse, Dragon became a pegasus. It was just off-screen.

Fun fact: in Shrek 1, when he saves her, she confused that he is an ogre. And responds with, “oh you were expecting Prince Charming?”
To which she responds “Yes, actually.”
Fun Fact: Jennifer Saunders was scared to perform "I Need A Hero". She was afraid she wouldn't do it justice. I think she surpassed the original. It's an iconic song from the franchise. I really enjoyed Shrek 3 and loved Shrek 4, Hope you guys enjoy it too!

But then again, Harold used to be a frog and Fairy Godmother turned him into a human and consindering her spells and potions can turn animals into humans and vice versa (the scene where Shrek spills out a big vat of potion, turning most of the staff into pidgeons, a couple of lab workers into a candelabra and a clock and two swans into beautiful women (and those two tigers were planned to be turned into Siegfried and Roy but was cut).

If you had the dvd, in the special features, they had an americas got talent "game". Shrek,fiona and simon were the jugdes and you could choose the characters that participated,to see their act you would choose who would win

I didn’t understand the white bronco chase until I got into my twenties. As a kid, I thought they were just making fun of the show COPS (which, technically they were). But when I got older and learned about the OJ trial, watching that scene made me fall out laughing!!
It took them less than 14 days to get there by carriage and reason why Shrek’s friends got there so fast is because they were riding dragon, and great reaction you guys 😂

Considering Donkey has a black voice actor, I've always wondered if that was intentionally part of the joke. Or if him being a white horse also had something to do with it, as a subversion of that stereotypical expectation. Or if it's just entirely a coincidence that they felt the joke would work with Donkey.
Btw for those who don't know about puss-in-boots he's like a mythical cat that appears to someone in need or something like that, he is very loyal and helps them achive there goals,mostly terns them into very successful people or even kings. there's stories where he just leaves after that and others where they have a deal and he gets betrayed after it and the persons welth despairs(i'm not sure i only watched like teo videos about it),and this shows in this movie as he's veey loyal to shrek after he owes him and also hates humpty after he betrays him,that's all i know and have a nice day

Ok, my favorite thing to point out is: if in this equivalent Hollywood-Far Far Away, a horse drawn carriage is a car, and Shrek comes riding in on a single horse, is that the equivalent of riding in on a motorcycle?
Also, I’m pretty sure I’ve heard that Dragon got turned into a Pegasus or something, or that was what was planned in early drafts of the film
Another comment said the same thing about Dragon. My guess is that there was originally a plan to work her into the film as a pegasus, but they wound up unable to come up with a way to really make it work.

If I have to re-watch a Shrek movie, it would be Shrek 2. It’s actually funny both for kids and grownups. There’s many jokes or references I didn’t pick up on as a kid. The police show parody is hilarious.

The Shrek 2 game was SO fun. One of my favorite games as a kid.
I remember playing that for the original Xbox, but I have never beaten the final round of Shrek 2.

Also, I never realized until now (spoiler):
Shrek literally does not live in his house from the beginning of Shrek 2 until the end of Shrek 3.
Shrek is living his perfect life, then it's ripped away from him, and his life totally changes upside-down by the time he actually returns to his Swamp and can enjoy his (new) life. So wild.
You guys should see "Shrek in the Swamp Karaoke Dance Party" and "Far Far Away Idol"
As I said on the first film I do love the theory Donkey was originally one of the boys kidnapped, transformed and sold to the circus/salt mines in Pinnochio. A theory that doesn't even consider things like his knowing to dip his hooves in water. The mutant Donkey/Dragons are indeed adorable and just like in DnD dragons can breed with anything.

If anyone had the DVD 🙋🏾♀️, there was an extra menu option/mini game called “Far Far Away Idol” with Simon Cowell voicing himself and some of the characters auditioning. You were allowed to vote yes or no to the acts and choose the winner at the end. The script is quite entertaining.

I think the biggest plot hole is this movie is how. Gingy and the gang got to Far Far Away so quickly when it took probably weeks for Shrek and Fiona to get there!

They added the scene of the baby Dronkeys (Dragon and Donkey's kids) afterwards to explain why they existed in the third movie since we didn't directly hear of them having kids. Apparently most people missed that Donkey said she was really moody at the beginning of the second movie, so they decided to show their babies at the end of the second one so more people would put two and two together.
Yes watch Lord of the Rings, that would be great. Best trilogy.

The Shrek franchise I feel like was ahead of it’s time. Good ass movies. Inside out is a brilliant movie, definitely recommend. There’s a number 2 coming out next year.
As an American, I can confirm, that beans on toast slaps. I dunno what kind of beans they use over there, but I used baked beans. Pork and beans is also pretty good, but baked beans is next tier.
I'm sad about two things here.
1. The "Sgt Pumpus and the Fancy Pants Club Band" line was cut
2. You didn't do Far Far Away Idol
Otherwise this is top tier

As far as animated sequels go, Shrek 2 hit hard, as did some of the other Dreamworks sequels.

Theres A Couple Minigames In The DVD, There Was An American Idol Spin-Off, Walking The Red Carpet To Get To The Front Of The Castle And Find Puss In Boots In The Forest
The DVD had a section where you can play American Idol with some of the characters.
At the end of the movie on the DVD there was a mini game where it was American Idol with the characters.

I realize now that “happily ever potion” made you beautiful, but probably also compatible with your lover, that she most likely turned into a horse, but she probably turned into a fucking kidding as in the dragon horse, which would’ve been so freaking cool to see, but they probably didn’t have a budget to make it that kind of design
