Fairly Oddparents was good show until season 9 ruined it.
Seeing the early seasons always reminds me that Cosmo and Wanda used to be actual parental figures to Timmy and not just friends, and that they used to be so in love and "two halves of a whole idiot" instead of nag and idiot like how they became in later seasons
I'm so glad the new show has this dynamic again, I missed it a lot.

I can tell they’re gonna have a lot of fun with the first few seasons. Next to Spongebob, it was one of the all-time greats in Nickelodeon's history.

@@OscarSolis-j1m if interest wanes, they do move onto other series/put it on a break. They did the 1st and 2nd seasons of 2017 Ducktails, but haven’t done the last/3rd season. So it might end after a certain season.
Oh man, I forgot how different Cosmo sounded in the first season before he made his voice too high. Can’t imagine why they would go in that direction.

According to Butch Hartman, Daran Norris did his Cosmo voice at a higher pitch and everyone in the recording booth thought it was funny.

There’s actually a season 0, a number of shorts that actually explain things like how Timmy got Cosmo and Wanda. It’s part of an anthology show called Oh Yeah! Cartoons.
There's an actual pilot where Timmy meets Vicky and gets his fairies for the first time.
And other shorts that would explore other characters of the show such as Tootie and Jorgin von strangle

If you're watching Fairly OddParents and the Power Hour specials, I recommend watching Jimmy Neutron as well. It's only three seasons and the movie is solid.

The voice of Cosmo (Daran Norris) wasn't replaced with another voice actor; he just changed the way he voiced Cosmo.

Btw while this is Season 1, there's a Season 0 which aired as shorts before the first season and that actually consist of the pilot episode and the first few adventures of Timmy with Cosmo and Wanda (which some of them are referenced at the opening sequence)

FOP has to be the most cynically hilarious cartoons ever made.
Especially when Steve Marmel wrote for the show (which I believe was from seasons one to five). When he left, it just wasn't the same, though there are some post-Steve Marmel episodes that are, at worst, tolerable.
Wanda said "Wednesday March 22, Cosmo had an idea" so I'm assuming the show takes place in 2000.

The reference to VR from a show that aired in 2001 is somewhat surprising but for context, the Nintendo Virtual Boy released 6 years prior and the Matrix came out 2 years prior.

...it is isn't obvious, this is all a good thing and i'm all about "inappropriate for kids, in a kids show", cause it's funny
One of my all-time favorite shows growing up, I used to watch it whenever I could. While the later seasons do have their issues I still enjoy them nonetheless.
In terms of the series overall there's 10 seasons, a couple movies (Channel Chasers, Abra-Castastrophe, the Wishology trilogy, a few live-action movies) and The Jimmy-Timmy Power Hour (FOP & Jimmy Neutron crossover). There are also the Oh Yeah! shorts, though those predate the tv show.

As someone who cleans both the men's and women's restrooms as part of their job, the men's restroom is generally worse. However, the women's restroom definitely can surprise! I'll just leave it at that.
Watching this reaction really gave me a new appreciation for the early seasons of Fairly Oddparents. It is just a creative show with so many good jokes. Really a classic.

I’m so glad you guys are doing The Fairly OddParents after I heard you said you were gonna do it in one of the SpongeBob reactions. I’m such a huge fan of this show; I legitimately watch this show every single day on a loop to keep me calm and not getting anxiety. Also, there is actually a Season 0 of this show with 8-10 episodes, around 7-9 minutes long each. Some are on Paramount+ in between the later seasons; sometimes you can find them on RUclips, but they get copyrighted and reuploaded very so often. Thank you so much for finally doing this show, and I hope you do watch every single episode and long form episodes when you get to them, like the 3 Jimmy Timmy Power Hours, Ruff was talking about!!!!! 👏🏼🙏🏼❤️

It is a fun show, but you also have to not think about things too much, plus Cosmo is fun chaos.
Tara Strong is the voice acrescentou for Timmy. She also does Raven from Teen Titans and Harley Quinn .
You guys need to watch Finding Nemo and Finding Dory you guys will not regret watching this it is such a sweet movie and it was my childhood

@@hiccupasterisk really! They must have only showed a couple they had the pilot, Fairy Flu, Cosmo the Hun (that’s all I can remember) they used to include those under the main series umbrella but for whatever reason stopped

Used to love this show when I watched Nickolodeon. Its made by Butch Hartman the same guy who does Danny Phantom and Tuff Puppy (which you should react to cuz it rocks). Ergo same art style.

Just like SpongeBob, the first seasons of this show are freaking hilarious. It may not have awesome action like Danny phantom but it is still such a fun silly show.

I think the "pilot(s)" of this show would be considered the shorts from the "Oh Yeah! Cartoon"" run. I believe some were re-edited and repackaged for season 1 tho.
