So at points where the frame rate dips while you're turning, there could be more trees, plants, animals, etc, that are being rendered which can be graphical intensive to do.
It looks like the framerate drops come from tons of leaves on screen. Leaves are trouble for graphics hardware because they're transparent so if you have a bunch of transparent polygons stacked up in front of you, you need to draw each polygon's pixels since they're only partially covered (whereas if an opaque polygon is in front, once that polygon is drawn, the graphics card can skip drawing the pixels of the polygons behind it because those pixels are covered up). Nowadays, it's usually not polycount that hurts performance but shading all of those pixels. It's not really something Mojang/Microsoft/whoever ported it to the Switch can fix because you only have so much performance so the most practical alternative would be fewer leaves.

@Shahe Ansar I think they ported the console version, so C++ Version of Minecraft. So no Java at all. Personally I use openJRE, it runs fine, I have used Oracle JRE and openJRE and they both have the same performance... I don't know what performance issues you are talking about...

I bought it right away mostly for the portability. Being able to play Minecraft on the go is kinda nice but I still prefer the Java version simply because I like the Mouse + Keyboard controls A LOT MORE, also, minimap mod :D

Don't go through third party resellers.Don't give them the satisfaction of buying the switch for $500.Just go through GameStop, or in uk's case you could use amazon or game.co.uk
same here m8, its supposed to run at 60 fps but I get so many lag spikes. even the vita feels more stable even tho that only runs at about 25 fps. I rather have a stable 25 fps than 60 fps with lag spikes.
I don't know about you, but from my experience on the Vita the fps was a bit too far from stable for my taste. I experienced gutters with the camera movement a lot as well as in certain areas.. Although they might have fixed all that with updates (I haven't played it that much since after the release). Still a fun experience at the time but the performance just got in the way to much to be enjoyable for long.

Eduardo Duarte Minecraft, as simple as it may look, simply isn't. It's a lot more taxing on the CPU and the other console versions have lag spikes as well. (PC depends on the build and CPU). It's very well optimized for most all systems, but if you do also look at a comment thread above explaining how polygons work with the CPU, it might help enlighten you.

Silly question... But is that grey bit plugged into your Switch for a set of headphones? Are they wireless? Just a bit confused since we can hear the game volume as if it's coming from the console.
Minecraft should have stayed a PC game. I've played it with a controller and it is so annoying not being able to look while doing other actions. Also inventory management takes forever. If they would have focused on making the phone/tablet versions of the game like what the Switch version is now it would have been perfect. On the go and on PC. It also runs an almost every PC so you can still have a console and then play it on your laptop or something.
Frank Reilly might be an audio reciever so the audio wirelessly goes from the switch to the the pc he's editing on which is why we are able to hear the game play audio clear as day

The slow down isnt the game its the switch trying to find wifi networks automatically and you can turn it off in the settings...

Normal size is pretty large. You would need like 8 maps in order to complete it

i recorded the audio separately using the headphone jack so i could balance the commentary in the mix :)
They could do 2 player one with each joycon if you can control the camera with motion and use the analogue stick it move
