The great Salvador Sanchez, the BEST Mexican boxer that ever lived, not even close.
The Greatest Boxer ever period!!
Nah
@@johnny6610 definitely debatable but IMO I'll take Salvador Sanchez! Who's yours?
@@tomtermini1254 probably Greatest talent in Mexican history. My dad’s favorite boxer, so heard a lot and didn’t see til old video tapes. So, it’s hard to measure his greatness because he died so young. So I’m judging what he did while he was active. Great wins over Lopez, Laporte, Gomez and Nelson. I won’t use Nelson excuse people have because Sal was young himself. However, the close decision wins over Castillo, who some think he lost, Ford and Cowdell I will. Sal definitely fought down to his competition. I have Chavez because the long reign, it’s a no brainer. Never had a Mexican fighter reached number 1 p4p. He has some names Sal beat, Laporte, Castillo and Perez. Chavez has wins over Martinez (arguably best Nelson in the first fight) Mayweather 2x, Lockridge, Rosario, JLR, Taylor, Camacho, Haugen….and I guess second Randall fight (up to debate). 27 title defenses.
Now Sal goes on to beat Arguello and others, which is very possible but it never happened. So Chavez is 1.
Definitely would of been Awesome if Sanchez didn't die so freaking young! You make some great points
I miss those days you could see fights on the weekend sports shows. And the Friday night fights.
Salvador Sanchez boxing was so amazing, it really sucks he died at a young age
Sanchez was as advanced in boxing mentality at 21 years old as most great fighters are at 8 or 10 years into their pro careers. He was a double edged sword, in that he had an old fighters experience wrapped in a young mans body. Always tragic when someone dies young. Even more so when a great young athlete is gone early. RIP......
Ahh, the good old days of boxing 👍
Sanchez was the rarest of athletes !
Sanchez is the 🐐 of Mexican boxing
So Senor
Salvador is like, “What the fuck do I hafta do to KO DANNY??? I’ve hit him with everything I’ve got!!!” What a fight. Warriors. Much respect.
Broke my heart what he did to Little Red. But, I realized the greatness of Salvador on this day.
the first time seeing the great sal n became a huge fan
Sanchez's rhythm was everything. Felt like he was always balanced enough to throw a shot
He hit Lopez with the right hand at will
Salvador Sanchez is the Greatest Boxing Machine of All-time!!
Had Sanchez lived and avoided that auto accident, he was likely to retire as the pound-for-pound best of all time, even rivaling the immortal Sugar Ray Robinson!!!
Lopez took so many clean punches. Sanchez just so good.
Those good fight to 15 rounds. I understand why they are only to 12 now, but still those 3 rounds sometimes were the more dramatic, and off course the most dangerous. I still remember when I hear the news about Sal Sánchez, was a kid back then and I still remember that day.
Sanchez, one baaaad dude..seen that fight.salute to little red..
Very good boxer, never give up
Lopez can eat some punches dam
back in the day this is what you'd get from boxing at 3:00 in the afternoon on any given saturday...now it's PPV for something they should pay fans to watch...no wonder MMA is in the driver's seat
Yeah, boxing used to be so great. Wth happened.
He was great
I wanted LOPEZ. I saw him many times at the Olympic auditorium with my father.
Damn Lopez sure took a beating, but never went down on the mat.
What year??
永遠のサルバドール・サンチェス!
Roy jones said he’s the greatest boxer he ever seen
Two warriors. Sanchez was just too fast & too slick for Lopez.
Ressaltar aqui o queixo duro do ruivo😮😮😮
wow
🇲🇽🥊🇲🇽🥊🇲🇽
WOW! Lopez was good, BUT SANCHEZ WAS A FRIGGIN MACHINE!
loading up with every shot in the book while at same time avoiding, keeping out of range and making the other guy miss.
3 Pulmones and Mata Gigantes he was called which mean 3 Lungs and giant killer
Sanchez was one of the greatest odds all time...tragic accident took him out right in his prime..
Little Red was lucky Sal Sanchez won't kill him... thanks referee!
Sanchez the goat.
Pat cowdell got a draw against Sanchez
Bazooka lamon and Bobby chicon were the best fights there were at that time .wars of hell 15 round’s slug fest.
Lopez could take a shot. Sanchez ended his career. He went from a 18 fight winning streak, including 8 title defenses, to getting rag dolled twice in a row. Some people might not understand what happened here. Lopez was a beast, with a great chin, and excellent power. He was in his prime here, and ran into a 21 year old buzzsaw.
Danny Lil Red Lopez. Also a Mexicano. Let it be Known. Half of what is called The USA belonged to Mexico.
