- The Power of Friendship and The Power of Love is something you'll see countless times in Shonen Manga that the Heroes use against the Villains to win. However when you see the Villains use it against the Heroes it leads to conflicting feelings on the situation. My Hero Academia Chapter 265 has Twice backed up against a wall. With him being responsible for his friends loss of happiness... He'll never let it go. Thankfully Dabi managed to arrive in time to save his friend before Hawks was able to finish him. He was push back because he was surprised by the attack so he wasn't prepared. His prosthetic legs was holding his ground. If it was his real legs it would be a different story.
@@omanjackson17 he literally has an Achilles heel at this point. The rest of him may be strong but his legs aren’t effected by his Quirk so they just snapped under the pressure

The thing is, this is an ambush, no one was prepared for the heroes raid , those legs are probably suited just for regular walking not fighting, I'm pretty sure if he wanted he could've gotten some legs that are for fighting

People need to realize that the prosthetic leg isn’t apart of his body thus not being powered up by his quirk. And he’s been stress free for quite some time, too.

@Diogo Pina it was a boring, badly paced arc that introduced the dumb powerup Six Paths form, i mean the Quincy form, i mean the Avatar form, i mean the 7 quirks of Jesus
On the whole "Redestro isn't weak" thing, people also need to remember that just because these kids aren't pro's yet, doesn't mean their combat power isn't as good/better than some pro's. It takes more to be a hero than just raw power. I mean in terms of raw physical strength and speed, Deku is technically the most powerful dude in the world, far surpassing any active pro's.
Thus there really isn't anything wrong with Tokoyami having really high combat power, even enough to push back Redestro. It's the kids' inexperience, and in many cases control, that are stopping them from just being considered pro's right here and now.
This isn't like your typical shounen battle manga where someones rank basically = their power more or less. In bleach terms, it doesn't matter that Tokoyami isn't a captain because in this world power isn't what makes a captain. We know there are weak ass pro's and villains and ridiculous students, and vice versa.
Being able to push Redestro back says nothing bad about Redestro and more just shows that Tokoyami packs a punch.
Plus Redestro is like Hulk where the more stressed he is, the stronger he is. He probably hasn't hit peak stress yet.
Yeah redestro will probably never be as strong as he was in my villain academia because he is not the head of the organization and still no that even if he's defeated it will not be the end of the organization so his burden will not feel as great

And remember that the fight takes place in underground, takoyami whole deal id darkness so its kinda make sense that he have more strength sonce they fight in his turf. Its like fighting a waterbender in the ship in the middle of the sea, so its make sense that takoyami have that fire power.

Yeah. Remember when Bakugo and shoto had to work with those kids. Some of those kids quirks are basically 5 level.
So, experience matters too. Any given day a person could beat someone under the right circumstances.

mister spook the clones are as powerful as Twice envisions them like when he made a Shigaraki clone in the Villain Academia arc alongside a Dabi and Mr Compress clones that were wiped out by Redestro, but Shigaraki’s clone survives, because in Twice’s mind Tomura can basically survive anything, and lasts long enough for the real one to destroy the building as he was walking there

NVH612 redestro blew all the clones away and they melted but shigaraki’s clone got stuck in the window instead which is how he knew the real Tomura was approaching

I think twice and Dabi are gonna have a heart-to-heart talk Dabi telling twice the he's really the one responsible for recruiting Hawks. But the tells them the only way they can make it up to everyone is by saving them.
The minute shigaraki is out, gigantomachia comes out, and the heroes lose. Hell depending on twice's condition atm its pretty bad for the hereos

The most important thing we have to remember as readers is that, at the end of the day, these are still villains; terrorists, murderers, you name it. Their stories are sad, and we feel for them, but we have to remember who they are.

14:09 I totally believe Dabi was able to produce fire from his legs prior to this moment because in his earlier design, if you pay attention, his pants stops just above his ankles, and it shows that his ankles are purple like his arms (If you're wondering how in the world I even notice that, just know that I was figuring out how I'm going to cosplay Dabi in the future).
if you look at the final page you can see hawks dive out of the way with the real twice so he wasn't caught it the flames.

I love how this arc has characters that are clearly villains and heroes like Shigaraki, Re Destro, the Doctor, and Fat Gum, Tokayami, and Suneater. However you have people in the middle like Hawks, Twice and maybe even Dabi. Hawks has the title of a hero but his actions have been less then heroic in one eye or another. Twice was a man who was cast out for one mistake and has been mentally torn apart by his quirk. Dabi is still up in the air, but there might be a chance for him to become more gray.

I’m sure some nazi’s thought they were helping there friends when they committed genocide. Hawks wanting to kill a villain doesn’t put him some grey area. Some evil people are not capable of rehabilitation and death is the only justice for them.
Sam Scholz I'm not saying that Twice is justified in killing people and assisting those that do. I'm saying he's a more sympathetic character as he was cast out by society, only given shelter by the worst people, and has been driven to madness because of his quirk. All For One has helped kill a lot of people but no one sensible would call him a sympathetic character. Also, I think Best Jeanist would say that Hawks is acting a little questionable. Oh wait. Hawks killed him.

This is a protagonist vs protagonist situation. It's written like a crossover event. Absolutely fantastic writing.
Got to appreaciate how smart Tokoyami is, since Dark Shadow goes berserk in the dark, he's new move is literally him stays in the light and only sent Dark Shadow into the dark LOL
That's what I love about MHA, is not abut learning new move, it's about learning how to utilize and explore your own power (like Kirishima's unbreakable is literally just him getting "even harder")
(Note: I’m not quite sure what twice may do during this fight. Either he tries to help Dabi and be his fighting partner, or Dabi tells him to leave and help the others, thus he escapes from Hawks) This is what I see happening in the next chapter or just within this fight between Hawks and Dabi. Hawks manages to use one of his feathers that has survived Dabi’s flames and uses it pull Dabi off of him. Hawks manages to escape being fried chicken, for now, and has made some space between him Dabi. Hawks only has a few surviving feathers and is limited on attacks. (Idk how to write fight scenes so I’m gonna skip it) They fight and Dabi starts ranting/venting on how vile and “villain” like the heroes are when they’re supposed to be the good guys.They fight some more and Dabi talks about quirks. Maybe he talks about society and how they cast away certain people because of their quirks and it turns them down the path of villainy I dunno. Then he talks about powerful quirks, how people will have quirk marriages just to have a child born with an all mighty powerful quirk thats a combination of the mother and father’s. He brings up Endeavor and Shoto, how Endeavor claimed to have created the ultimate quirk user, Shoto and how he can use both Fire and Ice. Then he asked the question “But what happened to the other kids, the other siblings from the Todoroki family? Shoto is the 4th child so what happened with the other 3?” He then goes in detail about Fuyumi’s quirk, then Natuso, and then when he reaches Touya, he pauses. At this point Hawks is barely standing, the room is burned, there’s smoke and ashes, and Dabi with a wicked smile on his face explains the childhood of Touya Todoroki in 3rd person. How Endeavor would beat poor Touya , punish Touya , and abuse Touya as well how Touya would witness this abuse continue through with his younger siblings and his mom. Dabi then explains how Touya would have burns and scars all over his body from,the now number 1 hero, Endeavor and his brutal training. Then he ends the backstory of Touya on how Touya Todoroki escapes the household and became to be Dabi!

I don’t know if Dabi cares about Twice, or the league all that much. Not that he doesn’t care at all, but he’s made it clear he puts himself first. I think he’s got his own motivations. I think he had an idea this would happen, perhaps he sees Hawks’ potential as a villain, tool, or an ally to him or something. He knew exactly what was going on, and he had no problem blasting that room. Where is Twice? He could have burned him too and we don’t know yet. This whole situation is almost too much chaos to speculate.
I could be wrong, but I don’t think Hawks ends here.
Agreed. Dabi is a rogue character, which further adds to his mystery since you don't fully know his intentions. Hawks is just getting introduced in the anime so to be offed in the manga around the same time is unlikely (since Horikoshi does time stuff with the anime, so that would be rather cruel to kill him off with that timing, but would be dramatic irony at its finest if he wanted to go there) so he still has some time at least.

Dabi doesn’t seem the type to thrive on simply just anarchy. He has a clear dislike of heroes but he was attracted to stains ideals, which suggests he doesn’t necessarily want the type of chaos that would happen if the liberation front succeeded but who knows.
Anyways.
Hawks also has that recorder, and it begs a couple questions. Like, when he started recording and why. What’s already on there. Is he monitored all the time or does he just report in.
What kind of dirt is gunna be on that thing. It was highlighted so it must be important. There is a lot that can be done with Hawks character dead, but more with him alive.

I don't remember the exact phrasing but All For One said that the most terrifying thing was a hero refusing to give up and attack with their guts all over the place.
Hawks repeats the sentiment by saying that villains that don't give up are the most terrifying.
Watch Horikoshi give Dabi his backstory, A) with every hardship but we ONLY see it from a third person’s perspective or any face other than his blacked out, or B) the “backstory of Dabi”, the man he has become

Hawks' hesitation in trying to kill Twice tells me that Best Jeanist is still alive. In fact if Hawks is able to get out of this his situation it's completely possible that Best Jeanist could save him.

I thought it was obvious that the Liberation Army is going to win this. I foresee a depressing future on society in which Heroes lose power thanks to this defeat and that's why Izuku suddenly has the room to become #1 hero.
Honestly if they managed to pull out Overhauls power from the Arm Compress stole then Shigaraki might finally have a way to heal people in his group.

Hawks has truly showcased why he is the Number 2 hero in the latest chapter
Hawk's is a great character but since i fist saw him, i knew his downfall would be his own doing, he loves to make a scene, he had one job, kill Twice, he lost a lot of time doing a useless speech instead of just finishing off twice and getting it over with from the begining.. That was his mistake, lost just enough time for Dabi to reach them and now he's gonna be fried chicken.
@Flarei mon I agree with you about what a hero usually do in BNHA world, but, Endeavor already killed a bunch of noumus without even questioning anything, just burn them to ashes. All Might went all in against AFO thinking he killed the boss in their first battle. Like these exemples, there are plenty of cases where they can use lethal force. Specially more so in Hawks case where he is basicly doing a job equivalent to a MI6/CIA spy agent, that probably took him to kill someone just to get in. Dont Forget about Best Jeanist being missing since Hawks visited him. Dabi even stated: "doesnt matter if that body you brought is the real jeanist or not, it is just a prof that you kill someone". So if he took this role and was already compeled to kill before, he shouldnt had any trouble to chop Twices head off.
Not going the Nomu's up untill the High ends were basically brainless corpses that follows commands since knowledge of the first one. It makes sense Endeavor wouldn't care for keeping them alive, especially since most have regeneration.
Wth of course he shouldnt kill Twice especially he knew that he is good person.

Yes, Dabi's fire must be stronger but there's no way he could do that so fast attacking from behind a wall
Hawks still has speed and maneuvribility plus he doesn't have to beat Dabi just kill Twice that's his whole purpose

I like to think ReDestro's prosthetics broke because Hawks secretly weakened them with a small feather up the leg of his pants that morning.
Also, one thing you have to squint to notice, but Hawks actually pulls Twice out of the way of Dabi's fire. Even "determined to kill", he's rescuing Twice.

Yeah I'm 90% sure Hawks is not dying.
1: it's the classic anime trope of "oh no the hero is definitely going die...next episode/chapter" and we all know how that typically goes.
2: Almost no Hero ever dies alone in Anime. It always has to be in front of their loved ones/friends/students. , look at Nighteye and Magane. And since Hawks is nowhere near Tokoyami or Endeavor, I think he's fine.
3:MHA doesn't kill characters often. Now they do kill important characters from time to time, but very rarely.
4: Hawks is in the top ten of heroes, it is unlikely he doesn't have a way to get out of this.
Overall while the situation looks pretty bleak, I don't think Hawks is going to die. Mainly because of that second point.

On one side I'm hoping he does die to show us that Horikoshi is willing to kill characters but on the other I really don't want hawks to die cause he's a different take on the heroes in MHA
I think Horikosi would kill a popular character if he wanted to. He has shown he is willing to kill heroes after all.
But I don't think going to kill a character for the sake of killing a character. This is not attack on Titan after all.

Someone pointed out on Twitter that when Dabi rescues Twice, Hawks is shown pulling Twice from the flames meaning that Dabi was gonna still set him on fire despite hearing “his last words.” So either Dabi doesn’t care for Twice, he thought it was a necessary casualty, or knew Hawks would saved him. Either way it still paints Dabi gray rather than sympathetic. Only the next chapter will we figure it out though.
Im guessing hawks is gonna be on the verge of losing then either endeavor or todoroki saves him then we finally get some todoroki family backstory

Endeavor is gonna need to be faster than all might was if he's going to travel all the way from the hospital to that hideout in time, i would not expect that.
Todoroki isn’t even that area, he’s with the students supporting the heroes raiding the hospital. If anything, Tokoyami is the closest one there along with Fatgum....barring A Gigantomachia revival.

Great point with Dabi's flames coming from his feet, I didn't even think of that. I wonder what his true power is, and is he really weak like we think he is since his body isn't capable with his quirk?

Also in addition to that theory, when Dabi came to get the Nomu he used the same move that Todoroki uses to seal his enemies in and block everyone else out. It could be a coincidence but it's just something I noticed

For me it was actually nice to see the Tokoyami flashback with Hawks. I for one thought that Hawks really didn't train or tutor Tokoyami because he was busy with the undercover stuff. Re-destro is still pretty fucking strong to be honest !!
I think what i found interesring is the fact that when Dabi attack hawks from The back, Hawks pulled Twice with him out of the flames.

I'm guessing we've never seen Dabi produce fire from his feet because his fire burns his own body. So if he just starts throwing out fire from his legs he won't be able to fight for long. Pretty much like Izuku at the beginning.

Probably that arm was delivered to the doctor who sintetized the dna of overhaul and passed on the quirk to shigaraki thought the operation, and seeing redestro and pretty much every villan at their peak, all for one included isn t too crazy of a thing actually.
When Hawks cut through Twice my heart sank
Dabi never seemed attached to hawks. He always seemed to hint that he suspected hawks was lying. So there never was much connection or friendship between them. I don’t think dabi has any second thoughts about killing hawks.
Hawks has been clarted but I loved seeing Tokoyami get his moment! The class is growing and it’s great to see the progression
I've been thinking about this for some time now. If Dabi is who we think he is... *what if he did end up mastering the move that Endeavour wanted him to?* Maybe the reason he has the horrific burn damage isn't just from his flame usage, but from _repeatedly_ experiencing high temperatures as Dabi perfected it?
Also we saw a small panel where Tokoyami's Shadow uncovered Gigantomachia. Whether it's early or not, as soon as Shigaraki wakes Gigantomachia will. I'm shook, it's basically a countdown to nuclear apocalypse and the heroes are completely unaware. Even Hawks didn't know about it.
Hate to say it as he is my favorite character but Hawks will die but also manage to kill Twice. Striking a big blow to the villains with Hero society becoming more scared as they lost their number 2 hero. I could be wrong because people forget Best Jeanist probably isn't dead. If he was in on Hawks plan and backs him up then it would be one hell of a setup.

He said "Centaur" but he didn't ate horse, but beef. Bodyplan of a centaur, but he is more akin to minotaurs.

He got trapped in text book supervillain play, explaining your plans before killing the victim.
The problem is that he cares enough about Twice to make him hesitate. Last chapter you can see he stopped his feathers from getting him before the clones started to pile up. He is a hero after all so he wanted to negotiate before killing, which is a some-what reasonable in their society (even if it does seem bad in this situation) since heroes avoid killing. Hawks is one of the few heroes we have seen to consider killing someone.

Well if dabi is toya totaroki, than it makes sense since endover can light his feet up.
But I thinking David's quirk can likely manifest flames anywhere from his body(likely like a cloak). But because of his fire being more powerful than his body can handle he likely limits it's the flames to his hands, and arms.
In the case with hawks.........Well his anger is deciding for him.
I can’t wait for Endeavor to crush Dabi. Their power levels aren’t even close and if you’re awaiting this fight to see a Dabi win, you’re in for a rude awakening. Endeavor can use blue flames too not to mention the strength and speed disadvantage Dabi is at.
