That type of design/layout is good for articles on mobile . Only pointers are to try not have the black section header take up 100% viewport height, 75% is a good sweet spot for mobile. Interactions are good for Desktop, but maybe turn them off for mobile if possible. A good, clean, fast loading page with minimal distractions and crisp dark font is good UX as you can't guarantee how smooth they'll be. The loading images should be the only distraction.
