Great work! You make it easy but is not at all. I've been watching all your videos in the last days. I like your attention to details and your capacity to sort every single problem. Thank you for your time
David, my modeler brother uses wire-wound strings from bass guitars as oxygen hoses and heavy power cables (he does a lot of sci-fi modeling). They are just like your hand-made oxygen hose, but pre-made! I bet any music store would have partial strings laying about :)
Awesome work as always, you make it looks so easy, I'm loving that wood! shame you cant see it too well once built, as always... epic work! Keep up the good work! Thanks
Great video as always! One tip for doing seat belts; it's a lot easier to thread the fabric through the buckles if they are still on the PE fret. :) learned that one the hard way.
have you ever heard of vallejo plastic putty , it's acrylic and come's of with a cotton bud dipped in water , much easier . and I love your work , your a very talented modeller .
I built primarily Taniya models in the late 70's through the early 80's as a boy. The quality compared to many other brands was exceptional and I can't remember ever getting a bad cast part maybe the quality control was better then, however molds wear out maybe the mold was at the end of its life.
I've had a kit from Tamiya with a defective part; the mold didn't fill completely. Have you had this problem with them before? Thanks for the great videos.
Yes, sometimes it happens. You can write an email to a manufacturer, and they will send you correct part for free. Or you can complain to the dealer. It's a big nuisance, but sometimes you can not repair damage part.
Hello Sir, I'm a beginner in the world of plastic modelling and I have no experience none what so ever. You make some wonderful kits thank you for your help you would make a great teacher in this hobby. Can you please do a tutorial on appling putty? Thank you for your time in reading my question and comments. Sincerely Allan
beautiful as always I love your work and learning for you. one question, where do you get your razor saw and the lead wire? been looking for them online but no luck.
The lead wire you can buy in any fishing shop. Razor saw probably on Amazon or eBay. www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=jlc+razor+saw&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xlead+wire.TRS0&_nkw=lead+wire&_sacat=0 www.ebay.com/itm/Modeling-razor-saw-best-cutting-tool-by-JLC-/122367402040?hash=item1c7daa6038:g:ww8AAOSwzaJX39C0
Hey David awesome stuff! Question: I can't seem to find a decal instrument sheet for sale anywhere for my cockpit, am I better trying to find another kit with it included, like you did for this build? Thanks and keep the videos coming I love watching them, I am learning a lot.
Ten seconds on google. I found a lot of decals. Here are some. www.victorymodels.com/products/airscale-1-48-usaaf-cockpit-instrument-decals-as48usa www.ipmshawaii.0catch.com/review_neal_izumi_mike_grant_decals_ckj-048_ckp-048.html obchod.valka.cz/search.php/t/1?search=INSTRUMENT++1%2F48
PLASMO - plastic models thanks a lot, I seemed to only find mustang decals exterior. Not much available in Australia, thanks again looking forward to part 3
Hi, David. May I ask how you maintain the point on your high finish brush when cleaning? I have the other Tamiya fine brushes (wood handle ones) and they seem to lose their point when cleaning them. Cheers :)
Gahlok12 No fucking shit, the F-14 is a 4th generation jet fighter that entered service during the early 1970's, while the Spitfire is a piston powered fighter aircraft that entered service during the 1930's.
You should hire some native english speaker to tell some lore during your videos. Nothing against your accent, I am czech too. Your videos are awesome, I love them.
WTF? I love to hear him talk and explain. The accent is a bonus! Keep it up David, I watch all your videos and always look out for new ones. Indeed probably the best modeling chanel here on YT. BTW, it's pronounced "P.S.I", not "PSI" :-)
I must say your skills are wonderful, I am building a p-51D myself, say could any identify an ace please google academy models p-51 number 12485. If that helps
You can try modelling websites, dependent one where you live. In the UK eModels, and Model Hobbies are two websites I use, international I use dersockelshop. Otherwise try find a local hobby store, its best to support these as this hobby is not the easiest to make a living from. Thanks
Coming home after 7 hours and an half of aerospace engineering and finding your video, thanks master!
David, you have easily the best modelling channel on You Tube. Great work.
Truth.
Another mini masterpiece David!
Your videos are a work of art in themselves.
Keep calm and carry on modelling to all 🖒
Very nice.
Great work! You make it easy but is not at all. I've been watching all your videos in the last days. I like your attention to details and your capacity to sort every single problem. Thank you for your time
I made such seatbelts in a Spitfire model, what a nervewrecking job to put the buckles and clips on the belt material! But the end result is fabulous.
nerve wracking job, agree with you :-D
Just got done with some on an Eduard 109 F. Was tempted to smash the kit a few times! But they look great, and very rewarding once you accomplish it.
David you are an artist in every way...WOW!
thank you for amazing videos. your modeling work and attention to detail is amazing. Really enjoy watching your work.
I love this more detailed format. I can actually learn from you. Thank you.
Awsome attention to detail and those seat belts. .........wow !
I like your commentary on these newer videos , very informative
Hey, looks awesome. Seat belts, very yummy....the whole cockpit! As usual I can't wait to see more of it.
Beautiful project ! I really want to watch the final video. As always , go ahead!! and thanks for your channel
That’s very good work! Very good! You’re truly a master at that kind of work and detailing!
David, my modeler brother uses wire-wound strings from bass guitars as oxygen hoses and heavy power cables (he does a lot of sci-fi modeling). They are just like your hand-made oxygen hose, but pre-made! I bet any music store would have partial strings laying about :)
Once again, fantastic work mate, she's going to look brilliant!
Very nice , a very fine work with high level skill .
Awesome work as always, you make it looks so easy, I'm loving that wood! shame you cant see it too well once built, as always... epic work!
Keep up the good work!
Thanks
fantastic once again! Thanks for the great video.
Great video as always! One tip for doing seat belts; it's a lot easier to thread the fabric through the buckles if they are still on the PE fret. :) learned that one the hard way.
Thanks, This is probably the easier way.
Great work again. I admire your models.
Thanks a lot!...Now hands on to my new P51 John Mayer model.
Outstanding work👍🏻
Very good Job !!! Super nice
Looks great Plasmo
Always enjoying watchin your video's 👍
Thanks, I rather making models than videos but your comments are still great motivation for me. Thank you all.
I just found your channel. I am enjoying watching you work. Do you display your models? They look museum quality.
I dont build model airplanes. but i like watching your videos! thumbs up!
Please make a complete videolog / tutorial of this build. It's awesome.
have you ever heard of vallejo plastic putty , it's acrylic and come's of with a cotton bud dipped in water , much easier . and I love your work , your a very talented modeller .
Awesome! I'd love to be able to detail cockpits as well as you do!
I built primarily Taniya models in the late 70's through the early 80's as a boy. The quality compared to many other brands was exceptional and I can't remember ever getting a bad cast part maybe the quality control was better then, however molds wear out maybe the mold was at the end of its life.
You should check out eduard kits
Superbly done!
how long did it take to be this good at painting cockpits ? I always find painting cockpits the most difficult in making aeroplane models
I haven’t done a Mustang in a long time
I've had a kit from Tamiya with a defective part; the mold didn't fill completely. Have you had this problem with them before?

really enjoy your videos. thank you. have you ever looked at Waldron model products aircraft instruments? very impressive
Yaaaaaassss!!!!! Waited a long time for this video.
Good work ! !
Wow - those seat belts are labor intensive. The next kit will just give you thread and you will knit them yourself.
Can your next clip be a cockpit mixtape? Just an all cockpits video
yay new episode
Uhoh! That seat belt thingy seems fiddly... With my patience I would probably throw it on the floor and stomp on it.
Haha, so true.
Nice work👍
Very nice David :)
do you ever enter these into contest's i imagine you do pretty well at airshows or fairs or something similar
A true talent :) excellent work
good job
You're the best

PLASMO - plastic models I can vouch for the airscale decals. they are incredible. Crystal clear and very easy to use.
Great vid thankyou, do you ever use pilot figures?
So much time and effort spent on paintng the cockpit, but in the end everything will be closed :/ btw. excelent work on that...
Exelent video!!! from argentine

can you please make a large scale P38 Lightning next?
Hi, David.
May I ask how you maintain the point on your high finish brush when cleaning? I have the other Tamiya fine brushes (wood handle ones) and they seem to lose their point when cleaning them.
Cheers :)
I clean brush with soap and water. When it dries, I use a little of vaseline.
Cool, thanks :)
Great
Maybe? Let's find out!

How long do you leave the putty to dry before sanding it? I leave it overnight but it sometimes doesn't fully fill the gap.

Can you do an aircraft carrier?
where do you buy models and tools ??
ebay
Fun fact the cockpit of an F-14 Tomcat is better than the Spitfire.
Gahlok12
No fucking shit, the F-14 is a 4th generation jet fighter that entered service during the early 1970's, while the Spitfire is a piston powered fighter aircraft that entered service during the 1930's.

You should hire some native english speaker to tell some lore during your videos. Nothing against your accent, I am czech too. Your videos are awesome, I love them.
Fanon29
Why the fuck would he need to talk about lore? And lore about what? Star wars?
WTF? I love to hear him talk and explain. The accent is a bonus! Keep it up David, I watch all your videos and always look out for new ones. Indeed probably the best modeling chanel here on YT. BTW, it's pronounced "P.S.I", not "PSI" :-)

Part 3?
Titulky budou. Možná je tam dám ještě dnes, tedy pokud budu mít na to čas.
