The pressure society puts on us to be 'perfect' in order to be successful is ridiculous. You haven't 'failed' if you don't get it right on the first try. And the FEAR of failure kills creativity. Here's my suggestion - mix up some paints and play! Give yourself the freedom to make mistakes and learn from them. You'll surprise yourself - I guarantee it. AND you'll have more fun!

My pillow paint is Pure White, Eggshell.
My colors are mixed 1 part Ultra Deep Base to 1 part tube paint, and thinned with JoSonja Gloss Varnish.
My cell activator is mixed 2 parts Australian Floetrol to 1 part paint.

Nate, thank you for showing the blowing out the bloom with just your mouth. I can't do the flick because my wrist is fused, so I did the blowing trick and what an what amazing outcome. I will using this a lot.

Love your work! Beautiful colors. I agree about the green one. It's amazing! Just an idea, if you want negative space cut some spinning and/or try less paint in general. But what you're doing is beautiful! Different. I study lots of artists pouring and was excited to see yours. Keep up the good work! It's exciting!
These are all very striking! At 2:40 your first tile looks like a roaring sunset! I thought it stood beautifully on its own, however the scoop and drag really adds interest.

Hi Nate ,Got the paint, what is the ratio of water to paint?
Hi Pauline! There is no water in any of these paints. I used a white house paint as my pillow straight from the container, and my colors were acrylic tube paints mixed with Ultra Deep Base (which is also house paint but without pigment), and my cell activator is also tube paint mixed with Australian Floetrol.

Gotta say it, for those of faith, if you turn the purple one with the "symmetrical" drags around to portrait, I see a cross. It's beautiful.
