  • How to Make Café Du Monde Beignets! Wilson's Wild Ride recently went to Louisiana. We just had to see if we could duplicate the Café Du Monde's Beignets. This is a short little video that we had fun making at our friends house in Texas. Find out if these little gems worked out for us, or were they a big failure. Café Du Monde has been around for over a hundred years, this charming little bakery in the French Quarter of New Orleans is a must visit if you are in the city. These take home beignet treats are never going to compare to the fresh ones in their store but a girl can try!

    As a Cajun I loved the video. Be sure to actually deep fry them instead of using a spoon to add the oil all over and please don’t add chocolate syrup. You won’t find them anywhere in New Orleans made that way. Enjoy them how the French would. Chikory coffee is the best.

    They’re two large, should be half that size, also temp probably needed to be higher. I’m making some now and mine comes out light and puffy and a more golden brown. Not sure what happened with yours 🥺

    You can buy them at the store like HEB the coffee I don't buy the cafe du monde I buy french market it has Chicory but it not quite as expensive .but I do love the beignets they need fresh cream and strawberry 🍓🍓 drizzle honey cinnamon

      It's a box mix I got from cafe du mond. There is no active yeast, I followed the direction on the box. It was video about the box mix.

    You rolled them out too thin…make them a little thicker and they will puff up like magic

    Looking at how you made these and coming from a home that made these on regular basis as a family treat. I would say that you really tried but please don't make this again..bon essai
