I can see the problem with the vac sealer, the edge of the bag has to sit in the recessed bit but it's gone in a little bit too far so it's gone past the bit that sucks - also, I usually lift the bag up so that it's level with the machine, if it's hanging down it struggles to equalise.
You really do have a knack of getting good value boxes! It all looked pretty good to me.👍

If your sealer does not have a wet option, I would put wet or powdery items in an interior baggie before sealing. Vacuum sealing does prolong shelf and freezer life. Some sealers have a jar lid accessory which I use on canning jars for dry pasta, dehydrated foods, nuts, dried beans etc. Helps with food waste. Good find Mom.

Decided for Christmas to order for my Mum in the UK she loves Salmon, got 16 Salmon, 4 Cod, 2 packs of their Tandoori Chicken, 3 of their Sausages (12 count) and 5 packs of Tilda rice for just under £60. Could not beat the price or the packaging. Own a vacuum sealer for years now, the trick with sealing is to make sure you don't leave too much of a overhang at the top in the machine when sealing also, make sure there is no creases where the seal is going to be ( clean seal ). The benefit of a vacuum sealed pack is the item has the air removed so, it does not impact the product texture.

I have gotten two vacuum sealers from Goodwill (a charity shop) over the last ten years. I am hooked. Sealed foods stay much better and longer in this type of packaging. Love your videos.

I know what’s in things like sausages and other things. I just try and buy better and avoid the cheaper lines. It’s crazy what you can buy in the charity shops. Just say I do very well out of my local ones.
To be fair there are some great quality one’s available, I like the Aldi ones as they don’t seem to have much rubbish in them. Love a good charity shop bargain! Xx

I seen that offer onlin3 and i was sceptical as im quite q visual person appose to a list of itema and weight. However seeing what you get i think its worth £60.

Wow! That is a lot of meat for the price. You are set for a while! The sealer was a good find by your mom. Do you think Todzilla would try a bit of the spicy chicken? When our Robbie was a baby he really like spicy food. There was always yogurt or milk to put out the fire. Happy Advent, Claire (although I recall you saying you are a Druid...)
