    About NTT Pro Cycling
Founded in 2007, NTT Pro Cycling (formerly Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka) became the first-ever African cycling team to gain a WorldTour license, in 2016. With the support of our headline sponsor and technology innovation partner, NTT, we are the most purpose-driven, performance-led, and technology-enabled team in pro cycling today. We also ride to raise awareness for Qhubeka, a global charity operating in South Africa, through our #BicyclesChangeLives campaign.

With Garmin & Garmin connect, your beloved ones can follow your activity live ... that makes it a lot easier to figure out where & when you got killed around the lake of Keerbergen. 👍

To be absolutely safe my bike is equipped with rim AND disc brakes. I use the rim brakes for lightness and quietness and the disc brakes for their effectiveness.

My tips: when you're riding, look more than 5 meters ahead of you, anticipate! Make handgestures to guide where you're going, and for dangerous holes in the tarmac and thank people (car drivers or cyclists) if they give you right of way, that's good for the cycling community. And say hi to fellow cyclists, not for safety, but for pleasure!
    Also: Garmin Radar next giveaway?

    victor says to be safe,
but on our bikes we like to race
on the flat and up the hill
is where we get a fitness thrill
spin the cranks and raise the pace
that's how we get a happy face

Always ride as fast as Victor Campenaerts or even faster so the cars can't see you. If you ride as fast as the wind, they won't see you and therefore they won't crash into you. This is the most effective way to be safe!!!

Always use a front and backlight. Use an STVZO (German law) approved light, so that you don't blind other people. Use lights with a good side visibility.
Install a mirror to see traffic coming from behind (the battery of the Garmin backlight doesn't last long enough).
Weare reflective clothes when riding in the dark.
    Follow the traffic rules.

The safest way to ride your bike is on Zwift, you’ll never be in a situation where a car van hit you 🤣.

Whilst riding a bike, never ever think about the girl that lied naked beside you the night before. Always stay focused on the road, keep your eyes on the road, watch the other participants in traffic and NEVER ever listen to music on your bike FFS!

The most important thing to be safe is the ability to put yourself in someone else's shoe and be proactive. Keeping others safe is keeping yourself safe. If you pass a kid on a bike, think about what you can do if it starts swerving to the left. If, on a crossroads, the car coming from the right should give way, think about what you can do if he doesn't. Everyone can make a mistake, but if you take that mistake as a possibility, you reduce the chance of bad outcomes. Train your brain to handle different scenarios. It's an underestimated muscle. Come to think of it, a video on brain exercise would be interesting:)

Just last week I saw a guy cross the red lights on his bike, without even stopping, just straight across at 30kph. It was at the traffic lights near den Aldi in Herent, he was crossing the mechelsesteenweg. Cars do 70kph there. I just hope the guy watches your videos, and reads this comment. Because I want to tell him he's an idiot.
So how to be safe: don't be like that guy because by being stupid and doing stupid things on your bike, you put other cyclists at risk. You give us a bad image and then car drivers will be more aggressive towards us. Safety starts with abiding traffic laws.
