It was UPS that lost your package. I went to Staples and shipped it. The label was created but never scanned! Someone got a really nice Christmas gift and Birthday gift! Really makes me MAD! Fun video.. we enjoyed it tonight!
Mike my neighborhood friend across the street got a pool table for Christmas. Late 70's, nothing really expensive but a real, full-size table, maybe from the Sears catalog (there's another memory for everyone). We had fun for a few weeks after Christmas, but Mikes mom started using it as a punishment on him. Every time he pissed her off (and for really stupid shit) she would gather up the balls and lock them away for a few days. Well one day Jamie and John (brothers 3 houses from Mike) and I were hanging outside, and we could hear these loud pounding and cracking noises coming from Mikes house. Plus, the chimney was blowing like a steam train. I said (jokingly, I thought) "I bet Mike is burning that pool table cause he's sick of Linda locking them balls up". Sure enough, the next day we go over and the table is gone and there's nothing but splinters and sawdust where it was. He sent that entire pool table, felt, cues and all right up that chimney while his mom sat there and watched TV. Mike was the kind of guy you wanted on your side, he didn't F around and was a mean SOB when mad.
The fireplace is classic I heard that from my mom on at least a couple of occasions. My brother called her bluff when she threatened that to him and he said well let’s throw them all in the fireplace. I don’t think it was ever brought up again.
Amongst the numerous things I've done for a living is vinyl stick on signage, and for a few years ,a bowling club got me to put the Champions names on these timber veneered boards in the club rooms. Eventually they ran out of room ,and needed to put another board up ,so they asked if I could organize it , so I sourced the right color and grain of board from my hardware store , and organized someone to install it on the wall , which took considerable time ,and I didn't even put a mark up on the board. Well ,when they got the bill , they hit the roof , and basically accused me of extorting them , because my cost was more than usual for applying the lettering , and they insisted that I knock a few hundred off, people can be incredible when it comes to money.
My good friends and kinfolk always expected me to cut my labor rate at my garage, or a discount on parts.....I just made them think they got the discount.
You know, I'm going to hit Chad up about that... Since he doesn't want to do them anymore I might be able to get a few items off him and then be that guy
I have no idea what's going on... I have no clue. I start my job early in the morning and am out at 3:30 in the morning so I am in the dark... I am on the road four hours and see a lot of things in the sky... on clear mornings that is. I guess I sometimes hope for something to see... if I watch the sky too much I may hit a deer... not that it is a big deal to hit a deer, I ran over 13 on year and three in a row last year... none so far this year. I don't like running over anything but that is how watching the sky works... it's beautiful.
At this point I’m into the video 18 minutes but just my opinion is perhaps the lady views you as a friend and wants to interact with and hang out with you more, even though she’s she’s upset at the moment, that might be the case, jmo
