Soccer gives you not only footwork but vision as well. Being able to see open lanes to pass to teammates is one of the biggest perks you get from soccer. As a soccer player her vision is nothing different from soccer give and go’s. I see the open lanes just like she does and it’s awesome calling out these passes and the player actually seeing them. Most people take a while to develop that type of situational awareness. I love that she feeds her teammates! Let everybody eat!

no. The biggest thing that transfers over from soccer is actually court vision. In soccer you have to have this awareness of where your teammates are. People who only play basketball don't necessarily develop this since you can technically go up and down the court by yourself whereas in soccer it's impossible. Give and go's, cuts, tik tak quick passing soccer is ESSENTIAL for you to be great. You can't simply dribble through an entire team and even if you can, it's impossible to do for an entire game. In basketball you technically can do that and so soccer players naturally have that court vision development. Actually I'm sure it is why caitlin is an incredible passer. I know this because it was only after I played soccer that I actually started becoming a more complete guard that can create for my team. Prior to that all I did was try and score.
