hey! i've flown this plane a lot on vatsim recently with xp11 and it handles far better than it seems to in xp12 haha. you can also use a garmin 430 in the aircraft by clicking the blue menu button on the left side of the panel and selecting "radio/gps".
The first time i heard about the Metroliner was from Manx2 Flight 7100 at Cork Airport in Ireland and that crashed was cause by fatigue, pilot error, and poorly maintained engines.
thanks swiss, your videos inspired me to become a pilot, omw to my PPL, (60% progress!). i live in Belguim, so i'd love to fly to germany when i have my PPL. thank you swiss!
Im doing currently my flight training at EDLE where Bin Air is based who got metroliners in their fleet. Unfortunately I saw them taking off just once in 2yrs although they got their AOC back and started to operate again since 2021:/
"If you're afraid of flying, this plane might give you a ride from a nightmare" Accurate. I am anaviation enthusiast with an anxiety problem, I had only ever flown on big jets until a year ago when I moved from Michigan to Colorado. I took an A321 from DTW to DEN and then a metroliner to my final destination. Oh. My. God. The only thing that kept me sane on that flight was the view out the window. Way too small, way too loud, and the most turbulent ride I've ever experienced. I think I'll take the train home for holidays 😅
A couple thousand hours flying the Metroliner with no autopilot, I was the sharpest I've ever been hand flying which landed me a job with a cargo carrier during the sim check part of the interview
swiss, i fly the metroliner a lot, on sharp airlines, a tasmanian regional airline, and this is a wonderful plane to use, and although i usderstand the safety issues, i think it may be my personal favourite aircraft
I don't fly the metro but my company has them. Speaking to the pilots they reckon it's a pretty poorly built aircraft, mainly the leaky fuel tanks! Very underpowered when heavy on a hot day due to how much the optimized the wing for cruise flight. The Garrett's sip fuel though so accountants love it
I have a metroliner flying regular flights to finland right above my house every day, hopefully it won't crash into my house anytime soon... Edit: I can see it on flightradar24, it's heading towards my house again, help...
I do cargo loading and unloading on these planes in real life and it is the worst thing ever. It is so tight inside and everyone on our airport hates it. But I have to admit, it is a pretty unique little plane.
You've gotta fly these planes using trim because the whole horizontal stabilizer moves with the adjustment of the trim. That's probably why you had no pitch authority on landing
I really want to get a flight on one of these, an airline flies it out of my city (Sharp Airlines) also ik it may seem like a crazy thing to say considering the video I commented on
As a real training captain for a Melrlin (A metroliner cut in half) that piece of machine is triying to kill you every second to make fun of you, just as that bully on your high school, but awesome airplane anyway, and yeah, you need to learn to live without the nose wheel steering... it tends to fail.
Another interesting thing, when landing, even with the "NWS" light on the annunciator panel. the steering is only armed but not active, it only activates when you retard the speed levers from high to low, while you are aplying beta, you need 3 hands to land that airplane. Very responsive actually, just as a fighter jet, but the controls are waaaaaaaay tougher than you might think, is a mixture of a superbike with an 18 wheeler.
Aerosucre: Buy this plane...........now!
There is actually cargo version of the metroliner and its sister the merlin. Weird how its useful towards that
Oh no 💀
Oh no😮😮😮

yeah he also should use the Steves metro mod for it too . also the xp12 conversion mod for it too which tweaks the ACF for x plane 12
@@GabbieGirl007 and for some extra realism danhopgood1‘s fmod package :)

Bearskin airlines is always hiring Swiss ;)
They’re fun to fly on and surprisingly comfy, surprisingly even more comfortable than a dash 8 Q400 tbh.

I'm going to forget how bad today was for me, SWISS POSTED ON MY BIRTHDAY, which is today

Swiss is back with another banger
Watched a Mentor Pilot video on this thing recently
0:30 i agree.
I know everyone says it, but can we ACTUALLY appreciate Swiss001 for a second? He’s the reason I love aviation right now, so thank you so much.
bot
😮
I saw one by keylime taxing out of centennial airport today and I’ve only ever seen their metros stripped down and abandoned around the ramp
Great video. Love it. You should try a slip in landing.
Swiss you need to fly the real Swiss Air! That video would be extravagant; 😊

Flew on one of these across colorado last month. Was genuinely a pretty uncomfortable flight in terms of how loud it was and all the turbulence

Moin weißt du was man machen kann wen msfs auf der xbox im loding sreen abstürzt mehrmals neuinsterlirt und xbox neu aufgesetzt
Worked at an FBO in Denver and we had a metro liner and I believe a premier collide on the runway. Shit was crazy
one day i hope for a metroliner for msfs2020, would be nice
guys… I saw this plane yesterday landing at Pearson (I was plane spotting)😅
lol what a beauty! Looks like it would burn real nice!
Nice video Swiss
I fly the Beech1900 a few times a year and its definitely my favourite in the 19 seat class
i hope i can see a toll aviation MK.III Metroliner. ilive in australia but not very close to where they actually fly it

I completely forgot this plane existed 😂
Swiss makes it look like it flies even worse
Turboprop Flight Simulator should add this plane
As Amtrak calls their Metroliners (not this type), they are "The smarter shuttle".
Might wanna try raising the sensativity of your yoke within msfs.
I use the metroliner addon you use Swiss!
I fly Metro for living and I can confirm this description is pretty accurate
That plane has an amazing Jawline
"Metroliner struck by meteorites..."
When I worked on the ramp we called that shit the cigar
Another good video!
stopping a kid from saying 100

Where can download this?
Comenting on every vid so that SWIISSSSSSSS WILL PLAY WARTHUNDER
vid 1
how do you look inside cabin with controller (xbox controller)
ccan you add the link for the metroliner?
It flies like my first planes i made in simpleplanes
Still safer than a car most likely…
Swiss please check for the butter landings before the challange videos of the challange that you've created recently. Greetings 😇
Day 17 of asking Swiss 001 to check out the Bugalaga Airtight in the Flight Sim❤❤❤❤❤❤
I always see it in my local El Monte airport!
I love your vids!
Nice vid swiss! Would you consider doing a review for the IXEG 737 for XP12?
Nose Wheel Steering doesn’t turn on until the right speed lever is all the way back it can’t activate on touchdown
Die Angströhre
Wait can I have the link to this mod
bro plz beat the shortest flight to be even shorter with like jet engines to small plane
Swiss make another swiss001 news episode, there are new things that I think you can talk about. The first episode was awesome
a Metroliner crashed in the 80s near my house in kettwig, germany
i find the metroliner is like a small pencil plane with Propellers
Kannst du bitte ein Video von Word of Airports machen

Ameriflight just had a crash a couple days ago
DO335🧐
nicer video!
I’m so glad to see xplane
I see a cargo metroliner at my local airport just about... every day
Man, not gonna lie, this plane has some similaities withe the Lockheed U-2
W vid
You can maybe try rfs again it got a lot of updates
I agree with you! It’s a beautiful plane
Hello from Bearskin
Swiss001 should talk about the new worst military plane in Microsoft flight simulator the mcenery f22 raptor
HII SWISS
Howdy 🤠
The model is correct. It does fly like that.
w american eagle livery
The rather long fuselage, high standing landing gear and small elevator / rudder of the metroliner really don’t suit an aircraft of this size
that nose tho
when u coming to wellington nz
Bring IL 96 back
The metroliner is Bemidji airlines most operated airplane
back again
1000shp each side isnt a lot. I find it underpowered and it is not dangerous to fly. NWS should be Armed not on prior to rollout
I dare you to make a ryanair a330 and butter it.
I’m here
I’ve flown on this plane in real life. Very old school.
yes
Can you do a plane you don’t know about
Day 6 of asking to fly rc planes
does it have better physics than msfs?
Hi swiss
AYO IT FIRST FLYED IN 1969🤨
Ikr it first flew a long time ago
day 3 of asking swiss001 to make a 737-1100
I love u swiss
