Southern horizon, definitely - it's a continuation of the present flag (southern cross on a blue sky), while adding green and gold, which are _defacto_ Australian national colours in many sporting events. Plus, there is always a nice harmony between those 4 colours (blue, white, gold, green) on a flag (take the Brasilian flag, for example) - I don't know why - the colours of planet Earth maybe? And all the lines are smooth and simple (please, no kangaroos or complex heraldry, like "The Rising One")! So, definitely that one!
You say that but people would think the maple leaf is gimmicky for Canada but it's regularly voted best flag on earth. If the roo is done right n not there for the sake of, it could be iconic and clean.
@Debut Hunter this isn't Canada most Australians don't want a kangaroo it's one of many reasons we can't decide on a replacement also kinda takes up space for the whole must represent everyone the maple does but imagine if they put a beaver or moose on there would it still be great in the same people's eyes People have designed flags like these already to say as long as it's done well is either insulting to the peoples designs that already got rejected or clearly not the case Not trying to have a crack at ya but this isn't the first round of pick the flag either nation has had nor is it the only one with animals
@@beaukennedy4618 - will be extremely hard to find a design that satisfies. Look at NZs flag referendum. They had an absolute banger of a design, and still chose to keep their shitty current one.

The two first flags are the best in my opinion.
Federation Flag would be my go to pick, distinctly different yet retains alot of symbolism from the current flag!
