"Raise my hands, bow my head...finding more and more truth in the words written in red" - Words written in red refer to the King James version of the bible, where Jesus' words are in red.
I love Brooks & Dunn. This is such a touching song about how faith gets us through the hard times. A lot of country music has deep gospel roots, and this is one of the best!
If we could just bring down our walls and treat each other with respect the world would be a better place. There is so much the young people can learn from their elders. Give life a chance. We all can make a difference.
Indy Custom Made, look and observe what’s on the news everyday or tv shows. Racism is constantly pounded into our minds and hearts because that’s what the government uses as a tool to divide us. Some people know better but some doesn’t. We are not born racist... it is taught
@@dewaynemarler2527 That's the truth. It's disgusting. Hopefully, we get back to some real values, where they no longer use that tool, of making people think they need to rely on the government to get where they need to be. Every American can have whatever they want, if they are willing to work hard for it. The handouts given by the government to those that ARE capable of working, have caused this. The current President has us moving in a positive direction moving forward. More jobs for EVERYONE. Racism is vile and disgusting, and has no place in our world. We as individuals can change that! Love thy neighbor.
@@dewaynemarler2527 It's not just the Government, it's the Media as well, since "sensational" stories of racism, blown up to extremes, raises ratings, which then sells ads. According to the media, EVERY White is racist, and EVERY Black person is a poor, ignorant, oppressed, downtrodden individual, who needs the Government (read "Democratic Party), to save them from themselves. Perhaps the media is wrong, and every White doesn't hate Blacks, and every Black person is not..., well, you get the idea.
Enjoyed your thoughtful reaction and the way you just sat there, contemplating, while the song played and then gave a measured reaction instead of blabbering all the way through it like some people do. It shows you're a man of thought. Keep up the good work.
My favorite songs from Brooks & Dunn are That Ain’t No Way To Go; Whiskey Under the Bridge; Neon Moon; Hard Workin’ Man; She Used To Be Mine; Brand New Man; She’s Not the Cheatin’ Kind; If You See Him, If You See Her (with Reba McEntire); and of course Believe!
For Brooks and Dunn songs you could check out "Neon Moon" "Its getting better all the time" or their duet with Reba Mcentire called "If you see him". All phenomenal songs!
Your points were right on the money. They had an actual gospel choir singing with them also Can’t here this song ever without crying. So glad the younger ppl are crossing lines into different types of music. Bless you 🙏
Mr. Savage, truly one of my very favorites...the story telling, the conviction ‘n passion and THAT VOICE!! Thank you Sir for your observations, insights and most definitely YOUR convictions & passion for your family! Thank you 😎
Keep the love in your heart, my brother. There is hope. WE are responsible for what happens to our future. We can make a difference, one person at a time. God bless from a 74 y/o man in Kansas. :-) Peace and love.
This is what this Country is missing we should as people get pass this only by talking to each other this color is a dead-end ... Never saw color my oldest friend was telling me a story and used the N-word not in a bad way but I just hate the word people who use it are Ignorant and told him just don't use that word around me Judge people on there character you respect me I'll respect you Peace Out !!
I just wanna say something STRAIGHT from the heart. I’m from the DEEP south. What you see in the media is BS!!!!!! My sister is half black, my grandson is half Mexican…we are NOT racist in the south…we love and respect EVERYONE. This is a beautiful representation of what life is in the South, and THATS 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
I would love to see the younger generation interact with the older generation weather and having a conversation on the porch you know in the park they're just so attached to their phones and technology and social media that they barely talk to their own families it's pretty sad yeah my generation I learned a lot I just stop there just missed out on so much thank you for your reaction✔️💜💜
These friendships were common in the south growing up. I remember at 5 an old man used to bring momma buttermilk every Wednesday and momma made us drink it. I hated it and hated the man for bringing it! I hated that man and didn't know he was black til I was 38! I didn't hate the man cos he was black, it was all about the buttermilk! I learned a few years ago he was murdered in the 60s. I really felt bad about hating him. People are people but to this day, I hate buttermilk! I'm 65 now, but he was still a part of my life, and I still remember him.
I really liked your reaction..you are right thay you dont see the young getting good wisdom from the elderly much anymore...at least i dont...another meaningful song is Who You'd Be Today by Kenny Chesney official video.💞💞💞
Dunn, the one singing was going to be a preacher. I think this song makes him one. I've heard that he can't sing this song live because he becomes to emotional.
i am a hot mess crying my eyes out i have been there watched my mom die of cancer brain and lung then two yrs later dad died cause he missed he so much
Kindness cost nothing and is priceless
That was the singer's true story. Can't watch without crying.
Its a story about the gospel, using his story.
yes for sure

Number one best vocal of all time.
This won CMA’s single of the year, song of the year, and music video of the year in 2006 for an obvious reason. It touches everyone’s soul.
Why can’t we be kind to one another , a lot to learn from this.
I love Brooks & Dunn. This is such a touching song about how faith gets us through the hard times. A lot of country music has deep gospel roots, and this is one of the best!
