    "Do you like fried chicken?"
"Yes, and it goes well with my fried allergy medicine."

Isn’t? it literally shifts your whole frame of mind, when listening to something you don’t agree that much.
Knowing that everybody is entitled to have their own opinions, and acknowledge someone’s else, besides, you add more information to that topic showing so your side of the story.
When your mom says certain things, you may not like it, but “Yes, and…” and you either add something or plant a seed.
Both people can grow and improve their relationships at home, with their family, partner and children.
“Yes, and…” if correctly framed can switch conversations from being one against the other, to both people working towards the same goal, the real truth, realising we have only found different ways of getting there.

lol I finally got the game, I was told to play it on stage with another person and I screw it badly hahaha, they were all laughing because I just didn't understand the intonation of the ''yes, and....'' and just answered the most non sense things. You explained it very well, THANKS

What would be the next progression in this level of play? Like you’d do this exercise then move on to what?

@@socadancebookmcleod490 I had an intimacy director for a play I was in implement this method but adding the option of “no, but.” The intention was to promote the expressing and enforcement of boundaries, but it ended up also stimulating even deeper thought and improv skills in the moment. I appreciated it a lot.

You did not say Yes / And every time and you took too much time to get to the exercise itself. You don't have to explain it. Just do it for us and we will get it. Yes, and you're a dwid. yes, and that rhythms with squid. Yes, and, get on with the show. Yes, and where's the trained elephant.

You dont literally have to say "Yes, and" you just need to build off what the other person said
