Before cutting, I glue a tiny piece of each fabric & place them on the pattern itself. I use a ruler on the pattern, cutting step by step. I mark off each step. When I finish all of Fabric 1, I cross out the entire cutting directions for that fabric. That way, I can glance to see where I need to start again…
I did not know about the pattern corrections section on your web site, thanks for pointing that out. I've never had a problem with any pattern but nice to know there is a section to help if need be. Love the patterns & fabrics today, and Fran you are great on the videos!
I check the corrections page on the website each time I buy a new book. If a pattern has corrections I make a note in the book against the pattern so I am aware before I start cutting.

I’m working on “Interlock” right now. LOTS of cutting, LOTS of piecing. It isn’t going together quickly, but I love it and I LOVE the fabric…one of Fran’s designs.

This is a great video! Question please: Your floriest quilt kit has sold out, I wonder if you have the yardage of the focal fabric? If not, can you give me the name of the fabric and manufacturer? I have zillions of yardage in my stash, but this kit and fabric really talked to me in a rather strong voice. LOL Please advise.
Hello! Yes of course! We like to use flannel on the backs of our quilts for sure, but you could also use them in the quilt top. Just keep in mind that if you combine flannel and traditional cotton that the fabrics may shrink/size differently during the process.
Love 3 yard quilt patterns - I have all 16 books, looks like i'll need to pick up #17. Made several , trying make each pattern at least once. I enjoy the piecing process, but quilting them is what i find to be a challenge for me since I can't seem to know what quilting pattern(s) to use.

I have designed quilting fabrics for various companies. I came from the home Dec textile industry. I would ask why do quilters want such bright colors? Don’t you want the artwork you create to complement your home? I have struggled with this. Any answers would be greatly helpful and appreciated.
We do have extra fabric from out kits listed on our site from time to time. If we have any available for that particular quilt kit, they will always be listed at the bottom of the kit page on our website under "Extra fabric"
Can I be a pattern tester? I love your process and use mainly 3 yard quilts for donation. I do have a Master's degree in Higher and Lifelong Education.

Love the tip of using the strip and sewing on sections and then cutting it apart.
On the bauble pattern if you turn it around, they look like lollipops, made one for a little girl obsessed with lollipops.
