It's hilarious how the luxury truck experiments all failed, with this, thw Mark LT and semi-successful EXT running their course, but hyper luxury, super expensive pickups sold under the "budget" brands have exploded in popularity.
I assumed this was an "upscale" option to an F-150. Turns out it has a weird bed/tailgate, only 2-WD only "truck". Like Lincoln was going to convert some of their audience into pickup owners?!?!
Where Lincoln messed up was the useless bed. The later Mark LT made more sense there. I remember when this luxury truck was a freak, and now people blow $80k on damn luxury barge trucks.
Why buy this when you could get either the Town Car for RWD or the Navigator for 4WD? Plus if you wanted a truck you would have gotten a fully loaded F-150.
Boy Ford really screwed up with this. Its was a pretty truck but the useless carpeted trunk aka bed and NO 4wD was just stupid. I can forgive no 4wd option, lots of people dont need want or use 4wd in their pickup, but that bed... stupid stupid stupid.
Because it's a Lincoln, the demographic of people who buy Lincolns aren't usually the type of people who are going to throw a bunch of cow shit in the back of their truck.

Because people want their trucks to come from truck brands, not posh mall crawler brands. That’s why luxury trucks failed.
Mark LT wasn't a failure. Ford realized it take away from F150 sales so instead chose to make luxury trim packages in F150s
@@aaronlane8276 It's just funny though because Ford makes Lincolns, and the Cadillac was literally just a rebadged Chevy with aesthetic upgrades.
@@l.e.miller1208 exactly
@@aaronlane8276truck brands literally made these cars, being my point.
And luxury trucks haven't failed. You can get some incredibly posh Ford trucks.
Super rare today! Only 3300ish ever made. I've seen F150's with this Lincoln grill. To funny!
This Lincoln Blackwood is version luxury of Ford F150

If they left the bed and tailgate similar to the F-150 it may have sold better as well as cost less to produce.
Think they forgot to turn traction control off. Should be quicker than 9.2 0-60

They should have made the ford lighting and Harley Davison trucks with the 5.4 4v instead of the 2v💯

Lincoln Blackwood is insane and different truck
I have a 2002 Lincoln black wood and it coasted 4,200 💵
why on EARTH would they carpet the bed?? 🤣

Lol this review didn’t age well at all
Why
The bed cover is what really ruined this truck….otherwise it would have been a decent hit!!!
I was thinking the same thing until I heard: 3:34 "No 4-WD option".
