Likki Springer I watched the behind the scenes for this movie and Julia Stiles wasn’t scripted to start crying, she did it on her own at 17 and it was all done in one take!
I can't believe it's almost been 12 years since Heath died. Such a sad day but at least he went out with a bang. His portrayal of The Joker will always been known as one of the greatest acting performances ever.
Heath and Kate was main reason I clicked, I love 10 Things I Hate About You,m. But why isn’t A Walk to Remember isn’t on this list, or at least at the honourable mention?
Flipped is the one movie I always go back to. For some reason this movie gave me the same in depth understanding of the characters as if I was reading a book.
Bianca and Wesley from The Duff! It's such an underrated movie that was actually super cute and enjoyable. Mae Whitman and Robbie Amell had such great chemistry on screen, it's impossible to not love watching these two as a couple.
@@andrewsmith74 they were seniors in high school and going off to college. High school credibility doesn't really matter when you're about to be done in a few months. Plus, they had chemistry and he genuinely liked her. I think finding someone who you feel comfortable with and have genuine feelings for matters more than credibility or being ridiculed.
@@r.s6187 For someone as popular as him, popularity & status in & outside of school would be vital. Is it stated that they're both going to college? They'd known each other for a long time, so it's unlikely that he'd choose her after having looked down on her for years.
My Fav Couples: 1. Lloyd Dobler & Diane Court - Say Anything (1989) 2. Romeo Montague & Juliet Capulet - Romeo + Juliet (1996) 3. Augustus "Gus" Waters & Hazel Grace Lancaster - The Fault in Our Stars (2014) 4. Peter Kavinsky & Lara Jean Covey - To All the Boys I've Loved Before (2018) I just wished y'all added Landon Carter & Jamie Sullivan - A Walk to Remember (2002)
Okay, as cute as Romeo and Juliet are... they are not the best in my opinion. Like, their story is literally a tragedy! She fakes her death, he kills himself at her side, she wakes up and finds him dead, then kills herself because she can't live without him despite them only having met like a week ago. As... darkly cute as it is... not exactly the type of romance you want in your life.
Jillian Myerly oh for sure. That’s why I appreciate retellings like the books Saving Juliet and The Prince of Shadows. Both look at the store from a different angle and call it what it is.
God, I LOVED this movie!!! I still do. No, it's not how u want a love in ur own life to play out (neither is Fault in Our Stars) but it fits the "Great couples in teenage movies" criteria.
Considering Shakespeare wrote ROmeo and Juliet to make fun of love stories, it shouldn't shock anyone that the love story was rushed. His whole play was the same as that one scene in Frozen where Elsa tells Anna "you can't marry someone you just met". Romeo and Juliet were only like 13 or 14 years old. Honestly, how on earth is this considered one of the greatest love stories? Shakespeare is rolling over in his grave- "I WROTE IT AS A JOKE!"
ZooFit Really? I hadn’t heard about the joke thing. I do however know that Shakespeare didn’t actually create the story for Romeo and Juliet. It was a pre-existing Italian tale (that was based off Ancient Greek myths) and Shakespeare turned the story into a play. The Ancient Greek myth that inspired the story is Pyramus and Thisbe. There are also traces of Xenophon’s Ephesian Tale [Xenophon of Ephesus the Greek writer (200-300 AD/CE) not to be confused with the Ancient Greek historian Xenophon of Athens (430-354 BC/BCE)]. Masuccio Salernitano wrote the original tale in 1474 BC then in the 1530s Luigi da Porta rewrote the tale, changed the protagonists name to Romeo (and made a few other changes that made the story almost exact to the Romeo and Juliet we know). Then Matteo Bandello rewrote and changed the story much more, making it more similar to the one we know today. Finally, in 1562, the French author Pierre Boaistuau, whose version was then translated into English by Arthur Brooke, wrote a poem based off the story (and made some minor changes). The poem was called The Tragicall Historye of Romeus and Juliet. This was the version Shakespeare turned into his play. Shakespeare also added his own spin as well as using some real life events and people in his story. His audience were already familiar about how the story would go (just like audiences in Ancient Greek Tragedies and people who see Romeo and Juliet now). Sorry about the history lesson, I did some research as I was writing this and I thought it would be fun to share.
Jamie and Landon sitting in a tree KISSING First comes love then comes marriage Then comes lukemia and fucks up the ending to a beautiful movie A WALK TO REMEMBER ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ FOREVER

Romeo and Juliet, ah yes. This inspires young people to fall in love and then kill themselves because you know if your parents won’t let you be together when you haven’t even tried talking to them. I guess death is the only solution
@@andrewsmith74 Well, the movie only covers one day, so who's to say that they weren't having sex? Plus, Ferris seems to really care about Sloane, as he claims that he was serious about wanting to marry her in his fourth wall narration.

Probably because it's more a movie about friendship than romance. Sure there are couples in the film, but they're not given that much focus. It's more about the friendship between Charlie, Sam, and Patrick.
