- Mount Baker is an absolute classic ski resort, where the emphasis is placed on skiing rather than the après, restaurants or shopping. Baker currently holds the world record for snow fall (1140 inches or 95 feet). Snowboarders have always had a strong hold here. The resort was one of the first to allow snowboarding. With the invent of fat skis, skiers are flocking here to take advantage of the incredible backcountry and sidecountry options on the Shuksan Arm.

Just heard from Zack, he said it was an adjustable backcountry pole with a Go Pro mount. Assuming it was fashioned with some volle style ski straps tight to the backpack or shovel to keep it steady.

We just emailed Zack to find out, but our best guess would be a backcountry pole of some sort with a Go Pro pole mount.

Mt baker actually sucks. It was a fluke that year they filmed this and it had really high record amount of snow. Normally it rains a lot and has shitty hills. Also lots of tourists and long lines. It’s the worst actually.
Huge lift line. Crystal and Stevens are much better. Avoid
Any weekday is perfect, just got off the mountain. I'm going backcountry there this month. Crystal sucks.

Lol. Classic grumpy local trying to keep people away. Be happy with what you got. I live on the east coast and I hope to get there even for a few days one year.
There are many contradictions that are present surrounding "the culture of awareness". How many users of the Arm and Hemi's simply own a beacon, shovel, probe and are not proficient in their use? This video presents shots of people skiing hang fire directly above a recent crown, and people dropping off cliffs onto similar aspects that have just slid. To me this is quite the opposite of awareness, and more a showcase of daring skiers making dangerous personal decisions. Not promoting awareness!

agreed, the whole shoulder scene made me wince the entire way through. insane skiing though, those guys are skilled.

Stay away from Baker, it's all coastal concrete with poser dentists rockin' Bogner threads & Foil skis.
But we LIKE the sound of our edges clacking across yesterday's slushy turns frozen rock-hard overnight.
