People don't realize tht country has evolved. Hip hop isn't the same as it was years ago but no one complains. Rock is different than it was years ago to. Everything's changed. THIS IS COUNTRY MUSIC. People like it, me included. I like old and new country. Music evolves, so get over it.

I should add that to be able to simultaneously play an instrument and sing, in harmony, live, requires incredible talent.
Why is everybody so obsessed with whether something is country or not? Old Dominion is not mainstream country, yes, but they're a damn good meld of alt rock with country. Not every damn country song has to be about trucks, patriotism, cowboys and fake drawls.
And drankin', shitkickin', goat ropin', wife/girl leavin', hoss ridin', sun settin'/risin', bar fights, cheatin' spouses, boot skootin', dirt roads, long highways rides, and muddin'.

I agree 100 percent and I love the mixing of rock and country just as much as I love the mixture of pop and country,and people need to understand that ages ago original country music originated from blues music and almost all mainstream music genres, and they are all great btw, I love female pop music above all else, but pop, rock, all country, r and b, which I all love too, rap, hip-hop, all emerged from blues and or jazz music, or older theatre-classical pop music! All of us music fans of all ages include myself owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to the forefathers of music, the great blues musicians and the great jazz musicians, like Stevie Wonder, Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday, the king or rock Elvis, and hundreds of more, and the great classical pop singers like Perry Como, Frank Sinatra!! Without all those great pioneers of music that blazed the paths for other singers and bands to have tremendous opportunities, myself and everybody else of all ages who are diehard music fans of all ages would not be able to enjoy so many great singers and great bands of today's music of all music genres including several subgenres as well!! I think some people think that country music made itself overnight and that is simply not true!! It emerged a long, long time ago from blues music and in fact blues, country, rock, and pop music of all time periods have a lot more in common than people think!!

Can you name me a song where George Strait sang about Patriotism and trucks? His drawl is not fake, that would be Florida Georgia Line. What bothers me about this video (and this band in general) is the lazy and poppy lyrics and themes. Why is every modern "country" song about kissing, describing clothing, and talking about beats? you say not every country song needs to be about "trucks, patriotism, cowboys and fake drawls" yet modern country music is a bunch of checklist cliches. I detest lazy songwriting in any genre and "country" music today is just that. Yes I'd like the cowboy to be back in country music, no I don't want rap, turntables and fake drum tracks in country. I want more fiddle and steel guitar. Instruments aside, the lazy songwriting is terrible. "what would happen if you got with me?" you'd be together, that's what would happen.

Love the song! Didn't know what "Snapback" meant until my wife looked it up while we were driving to our property in East Texas. The song came on the radio, I turned it up and started humming and singing it. My wife asked what a Snapback was and I told her I didn't know. So she looked it up and read it to me. Now she is hooked! Every time "Snapback" comes on the radio, my wife cranks up the radio! It is great! (The odd thing about this is, my wife does not usually listen to the radio!) So from a 59 year old man, who loves music, I thank you deeply! Keep up the great work and God bless!!

I saw old dominion in my home town at a small event we had. The maint event was Craig Morgan. It’s sad that the audience was so small. Probably 100 people or less watching. They deserve lots of credit for their great work.

Snapback is just an awesome song, period. The guitar work, vocals, bass, drums all blend together perfectly in this song. These guys are talented...they're amazing LIVE in concert. Just saw them at Jam in the Valley in Varysburg, NY July 6th, 2017. Entertaining, amazing performers, they put on a great show and their sound is incredible. They opened with Snapback and it sounded even better live than the studio version you're hearing in this vid. Really talented group of guys.
Who cares about genre? A lot of modern rock is getting lumped into Country these days, and many country artists have songs in the "mainstream" rock arena. Just the way the music industry chooses to label things.

1st of all I listen to all kinds of music depending on my mood. Rock, country, jazz, elevator/bank lobby music, rap, etc. I bang it all. The origins of music goes back centuries. It was designed for communication and later entertainment. So all music is not for everybody regardless of genre. This song has a nice beat and melody and how many songs nowadays can be considered crossover hits. I think this one is a good candidate. Makes me feel happy when I listen to it....And I just found out they're my homies. Va. is for Lovers!!!!!

A country person Weill invite you in for dinner no matter who you are. Will help you fix your truck or tractor even at the drop of a hat. What you sound like doesn't dictate of you're country or not. It's how you live your life

Country music has been trying for decades now to expand in to a larger audience. You ever wonder if thats Gods will taking place? I am definitely not a traditional country fan, yet i have found myself liking the older stuff, because i was brought there by the newer stuff. I'm falling more and more in love with country music as a whole, because of bands like Old dom, and Florida goergia line. they help me to see that country music still contains the soul of true music in america. just Fyi, i lived in Europe for 1 1/2 years and Country music is one of the fastest growing segments over there. i couldn't believe it. guys who can barely speak english, never seen a tractor up close,... jamming out to the latest country hits. and like me, it made them seek out the older stuff too. I see it all as part of the same family. maybe its time we accept there are different shades of country music, and thats ok.
