I have been married to the love of my life for 34 years. She has been fighting stage 4 breast cancer for 5 years now. The cancer is back and has now spread to her bones. I sing this song to her and tell her to fight because I don't want to be a one-man band. She is doing her best!
Update - we met with her Oncologist yesterday. She loves going to the gym to workout. Doctor advised no more workouts. Cancer is creating fracture in the spine. She does not have pain. We are praying radiation and new drugs will slow the spread so we can enjoy a little more time together. She is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. My advice...thank God for everyday you have together because one day it will be your last, never go to bed mad at each other, hold her close and dance with her everyday.

This song represents what’s going on in my life right now. I lost my husband of 39 years to brain cancer. After grieving for years I’ve met someone that could be the one. After being so lonely and not wanting to be alone for the rest of my life he just might be the one. So, God if you’re listening, I hope my prayers have been answered. Thanks for putting the words together in this song.
When I was 9 or 10 I was in the hospital for a week and a half. I felt like I was going to die but no God was holding my hand the whole time and he saved my life. I lived in California my WHOLE life, two years ago I moved to Georgia.. whenever I hear this song it reminds me of the trip my whole family made to Lake Murray in South Carolina.. my buddy flew out here from California.. we rented a nice lake house and we played this on the boat! Simple moments like that I will cherish FOREVER

I lost my grandma last night, this was her favorite song and I’ve found myself thinking of it all day. She was diagnosed with cancer about the same time this song came out and she listened to it all the time. We would sing it in the car, the kitchen, even just sitting on the porch. It was a bit of a surprise last night since we thought we had a few more weeks with her, it’s been a hard day. She started living with my family and I in November of 2019 and so seeing all her things has made it so much harder. I know things are gonna get better but right now things are just really hard, thanks for letting me think of her in a good light for a few minutes listening to her song. 💕

We aren't always exposed to music outside of the genre that we hear growing up and then in school we are drivin but the popular music of our cultural areas. I listen to ALL music at 54 I was lucky enough to have been raised by a grandparents with aunt's and uncles that were closer to and up 20 years in age so I was exposed to ALL music from the 60s to the music of graduating class is 84 and heard this song while playing with my chickens about 4 years ago it can on radio I have playing to ward off predators and thought no idea who this is but this song is gonna be one of my favorites for a long time and I was right . Glad others like it and everyone be safe this virus is scary because we don't know what's going on!!!
