Yep had the pleasure of seeing them several times in the 80’s and to my amazement got caught in a snow drift and stranded in Bunbeg in Donegal. Made My way in to Hudy Tims and who was to walk in and sit On the stool beside me but one of my musical heroes - this great man Liam with his harp. Great man and a great great band. Few will ever know how incredibly talented they were or how lucky we were to witness them.
I love Liam. I just love watiching him. I have to add that there's NOTHING that Glen Hansard cannot do. He's also one of the most "enthusiastic" performers.
Sad but great song. Ironic Bronagh Gallagher singing back-up when here ex cast mate Maria Doyle Kennedy from "The Commitments" used to sing with the HHF.
Liam o'Maonlai reminds me of the Great Late, Michael Hutchence. He is one of those very rare White 'Soulful' vocalists who like 'Michael Hutchence' can create a very soulful, vocal velocity in their singing. An incredible singing talent, that I believe should be more recognised in popular music.
They are all very good musicians, but I think they could have made more out of it... I mean it's a tribute... in the end they all ramming their guitars and screaming halleluja... mhhhh....

HHF is the best band I've ever seen live. Wished they'd get their due.
