Does this explain why all of the great heroes kind of have some of the bad guy in them? The way that Harry Potter can speak with snakes and that’s only supposed to be for Slytherin people. The way that Luke is Darth’s kid. The way that Frodo is the most susceptible to the ring.
I’m probably not smart enough to really comment on this video, but isn’t what Jordan is saying in maps of meaning just a more elaborate version of Aristotle’s golden mean?
Great episode! Just a comment on the Ashturoth statement... I could be totally off base about this but when reading this passage it seems to be describing the beliefs of the canaanites separate from the Israelite. In other words, it is the enemy of God's people that believe she was the queen of heaven, not the Israelites. So if that is not a jewish tradition how does it correlate to Christianity? I'm obviously missing the connection here as I've not read the book he mentioned. Anyone know anything about this?
This discussion is tracking with the early teachings of Buddha. Perhaps it is the Fourth Dharma. It moved from India to China to Japan and now America. The English speaking world will inherit the Fourth Dharma.
