  • Introducing the brand-new 2020 Polaris Ranger 1000
For 2020 model-year, Polaris has replaced the tried and true Ranger XP 900 with a new, upgraded model - the Ranger 1000. The Ranger 1000 completes the Ranger line-up and slots between the Ranger 570 and Ranger XP 1000.
The Ranger 1000 has big shoes to fill in replacing the venerable Ranger XP 900, and it's prepared with a new driveline providing more low-end grunt and improved drivability, better ride quality and comfort with a brand-new chassis derived from the Ranger XP 1000, and additional storage options thanks to a new interior and larger cargo bed.
At the core of the new Ranger 1000 is a new SOHC version of the ProStar 1000 engine producing 61-HP and 55-ft-lbs of torque. This new engine produces peak horsepower 3,000 RPM lower than that of the Ranger XP 900, which means smoother, quieter operation and more usable power. Ranger 1000 delivers power to the ground via a new, upgraded driveline starting at the new Pro PVTi clutch system that offers smoother engagement at slower speeds and overall quieter operation. The final drive is redesigned based on improvements developed for the Ranger XP 1000 for improved durability and smoother operation with less noise and vibration.
The chassis for the Ranger 1000 is all-new and based on that of the Ranger XP 1000. Once again, the goal was to increase strength and durability for additional capability. The Ranger 1000 is capable of hauling a total payload of 1,500-lbs while towing a maximum of 2,500-lbs. Ground clearance comes in at 12" and usable suspension travel is at 10" for both the front and rear of the Ranger. At ground level, the Ranger 1000 Premium features a new set of PXT-2 tires for improved traction in any conditions and increased tire lifespan. Further improving comfort, the all-new chassis provides an additional 5" of interior space for more legroom and better ergonomics. The larger frame also provides a larger door opening, making it easier to enter and exit the Ranger 1000. Lastly, riding comfort is enhanced with new, thicker seat bottoms.
The interior of the Ranger 1000 not only provides more space than the Ranger XP 900, but it also allows for better storage with 6 cup holders, new top-load glovebox and underseat storage. On the outside, the Ranger 1000 boasts additional 10% cargo bed volume capacity thanks to taller sides and a total weight capacity of 1,000-lbs.
Ranger 1000 is supported by a new line-up of accessories. The PULSE electrical system allows plug-and-play installation of compatible electrical accessories. Many of the Pro Shield cab components are already available and the same as those offered for the Ranger XP 1000. Polaris' Pro Shield system provides the industry's best protection against dust, water and wind noise.
Featured is our Cold Front Package, which aims to improve cold weather comfort and capability. This model is factory-ordered with Polaris' Winter Prep Package that provides a factory-installed winch, heater and cab seal system. We finish out the package with a set of value-oriented canvas doors, Lock & Ride glass windshield with wiper, poly roof and glass rear window. This vehicle is plow-ready, meaning the Polaris' Glacier plow system can be easier added at anytime without additional on-vehicle equipment.

I have the same Polaris razor and after about 2 hours of use. There are squeaking noises coming from everywhere on it, is that something I should be worried about?

Not a RZR, but I got a new sportsman a couple months ago, and same thing. Squeaking, and like a clunking noise. It was brand new and we didn’t even ride it hard. I heard there’s nothing to worry about, that’s just Polaris. Love my sportsman, but all the little noises can be annoying. Gonna try and grease it and see if it helps

@@thehunter9149 I have a 1019 Sportsman, and mine does the same thing...I think it's normal. I was told to spray WD40 on the top of the shocks, where the bolt goes through. It definitely helped with some of the squeaking!
