10/10 ! Thank you to all involved . Thank you for your dancing mr. George and kudos to your two dancer colleagues as well .thanks for posting this. Fyi I saw pippin in 1973 on Broadway and have been a fan of Fosse, Vereen and Reinking ever since I was 13.!
This is utter nonsense dressed up as know how. There are no spacing issues, the issue is the cinematography isn’t by someone who fully understands dance on film - that isn’t to say it isn’t very nicely done. Those dancers are spaced perfectly. The issue is that when the camera is moving so much, as it is here, the central dancer isn’t always central to the frame.
Comments, most criticize lighting, costumes, choreography, cinematography. Movie made $37.8 mil. Budget: $12 mil. Fosse, only person to win Emmy, Tony & Oscar. Where are YOUR awards?
The elaborate camera angles obscure the choreography. There's so much going on w/ the dancing and the dramatic lighting, a less complicated camera would be preferable.
Michael Jackson didn't stole anything . He create his style taken the way of movement of Bob Fosse , it is like a student and the teacher and he make his own versions from the same way of interpretation the Bob Fosse School . The last time I was on Broadway and saw Chicago none of the dancers were really dancing Bob Fosse style in a pure manner and I felt very sad.
The lightning was so dark, that I couldn't see the opening scene, but once I could, I was concerned that the two ladies tutus/skirts, were missing. The camera missed most of the foot work, and the dance choreography was very sleep inducing. Maybe wear some dresses for your next dance routine, and ask the camera operator to turn up the lighting and capture all your foot movements. Great synchronization of the three performers and I hope that you are booked for lots of work in 2021. Love Holly (Ballet & Ballroom)
@@terriseaton3049 Hi Terri, Just humble observation and raw criticism, from an outsider perspective. The 3 dancers are clearly extremely talented. I just couldn't see most of their whole body movements. Have a terrific day and don't take my letter to heart, I also trained in German folk dancing and hip hop, street Latin, along with Chechetti Ballet and Ballroom. Very different styles. More tulle, more movement around the stage. Very different styles. Best wishes, Holly
@@PrincessHVHHDSSS Ah...are you familiar with Fosse's work? I've *never* seen a Fosse production where the women wore tutus. These outfits are very style-appropriate, however revealing. And he frequently used lighting like this.
@@-EmilyGrace- Hello Emily, My comments were written in "comedic dry humour". No harm intented. I trained in Ballet and German folk dancing, so I was simply being witty. The dancers are very talented. Best wishes Holly xo
Its sad Linda when someone is so myopic that they don't focus on the art but a political statement. My suggestion to you is to view Michelangelo's DAVID. Your dreams will be fulfilled. Oh yes: Please don't forget to appreciate the art of Michelangelo.
Dear camera operators (directors) if the dance is choreographed for a theater stage, capture THAT. Camera movement ads nothing and subtracts so much. This was a sell out show. Let us be in the audience.
God Damn I love this. Beautiful choreography and a tribute I believe would bring a tear to Fosse's eye. BRAVO BRAVISSIMO.
Being such a huge To see fan, I recognize so many of these moves, these dances and songs. It's great to see them again. To see lives on forever!

Great job on Fosse choreography, aside from the spacing issues w the dancers, this piece is a fitting tribute. Dancers were definitely chosen well!

As an x dancer it takes a whole lot of work to get those bodies
Anyone know what particular kind/brand of black fishnets those are and where to get them?
Beautiful work!
Why are only 2 dancers named? Are you the guy? Whoever he is, damn, those hands are stunning. Perfect shoulders. Just great, this was lovely.

While I agree I think the cameras are also paying tribute to how they were used in Cabaret

Primeiro Último kind of like how someone done stoked all your grammar books

You do it your way & “Fosse” will do it the effective way. Are you ALWAYS this critical?

The camera moves so much , angles are cut so much, the bodies, movements, overall design is frequently obscured. Very irritating at best.
Гниющая экспрессия западного модернового гедонизма
That part of youtube again 😂😂😂😂
Background so dark routine can't be seen.
А зачем там нужен мужик, который имитирует движения женщин?
Я тоже об этом подумал?
Because Fosse. Next question?
Вообще не то..

Why women wear like that? Men Shall wear like that👍
Grow up.
Women sexuaized but men no. No fair!
Yeah, Fosse sexualized women on- and off-stage. For better or worse, these types of outfits were a trademark of his style.

sorry, not stimulated by this entertainment.
women dress way cheap. cheap cheap cheap now a days. terrible
That’s Fosse
Dance videos that cut off the dancer's legs and/or arms are annoying. Also this choreography isn't really Fosse.
