For all you salty dragonball super fans out there, I’m going to prove why sonic would win this battle 1) He defeated erazor jinn who was absorbing multiple universes in his base state with a less than half his life force (multi universal base sonic) 2) held his own against infinite who can casually spawn endless dimensions ( high universal base sonic ) 3) went toe to toe with emerl who had the power of the chaos emeralds, the chaos emeralds can eradicate Entire space and time continuums ( Multi Solar system-universal + base sonic) 4) defeated the dark queen who could make a universal structure infinite ( universal Excalibur sonic) 5) Defeated the egg salamander who destroy multiple parallel realities (multi universal super sonic) 6) defeated the egg wizard who had the power of pots which holds the structure of the sonic verse ( multiversal + super sonic) 7) Defeated Alfa Layla who was going to destroy sonic’s reality once he entered it ( Multiversal + dark spine sonic) 8) Defeated Solaris who is a super dimensional being above the sonic verse which makes him 5D. Funny thing about super sonic is he's only ever been damaged by physical attacks or attacks fueled by chaos energy. Super Sonic has only been damaged by those using chaos energy or an equivilant there of. *(Dark Gaia, Enerjak, Master Moguel, and Solaris. Etc.) Like six paths sage mode.
Mh i'm pretty sure that goku in god form can go above the lightspeed, but still, super sonic is way faster form sonic 06 and generations, he has immesurable speed which is above infinite speed.

@Pippo Mela True Sonic has shown alot of infinite and immeasurable speeds i would say Game Sonic speed in his base form should be on a MFTL+ or 4D speed scale since he was able to travel through space and time in generations while in his both Super and Hyper forms gives him immeasurable speed which is above infinte speed

You know.... this is kind of accurate. Sonic basically fights Gods all the time and since Goku is on high god level, this is kind of accurate. I would say something like “sonic would have to go hyper” but 2 things. 1. Sonic is getting stronger. (I don’t wanna explain so please don’t make me) 2. He can’t go hyper again.

Honestly After re-doing some hardcore research... I gotta say... I was COMPLETELY wrong. Goku would annihilate Sonic. Heck he would beat him sonic so bad, that the only thing sonic would feel after getting punched by goku is nothing but pillows.

I find it funny actually, how big the gap between Sonic and Goku is: Let's wank Goku to the upmost we possibly can. In BoGs, he and Beerus shook the Macrocosm which held 12 Universal sized realms, he later absorbs this same power into his base form and becomes even stronger. He later achieves new forms such as SSJB which is a 50× multiplier of SSJG, as well as the ability to stack Kaioken on top of it. In the Universe 6 saga, SSJBKKX10 overpowers Hit's time skip which makes him faster than time, later SSJB fights Hit to a stalemate, making him 10 times stronger. In the Tournament of Power, SSJG is now equal to Hit which must mean SSJG is faster than Time. Jiren was also stated to be the strongest foe Universe 7 had ever faced, even stronger than Infinite Zamasu which transcended timelines. Jiren was stated to be above Time itself, and his Ki alone shook the WoV which is apparently an Infinite void with no time and space, making it 5D to Infinite 5D. UI Omen preformed the same feat. Later, SSJB is above UI Omen, making him 5D in terms of power. MUI is even Infinite above that. This all should make current Goku Infinite 5D. This sounds incredible, doesn't it? Our favourite Monkey being so powerful, if only it was true, most of this are either outliers or make no sense at all. Goku is actually Infinite 3D at best in terms of power. Zeno dwarfs Goku heavily in terms of power and he is only 4D. I doubt the godly base form even exists anymore due to how bullshit the scaling in Super is. What's insane is that even if we give Goku all of this wank, Sonic is actually still much stronger and faster, as he is Infinite 6D in his Super Form with Immeasurable speeds, you can thank Solaris and Time Eater for that, and because of Egg Salamander and Egg Wizard, they aren't outliers in the slightest. What's even funnier is that a lowballed Base Sonic is Universal+ to Low-Multiversal with Infinite speed, meaning that Goku would have to tap into Ultra Instinct to even stand a chance, even at this ridiculous lowball. @@pippomela Because of Erazor Djinn, he was absorbing the Arabian Nights which is at least a Universe, and let's not forget that Sonic was getting weaker as the game progressed due to Erazor cursing him with the Arrow of Light. So even at this lowball, Base Sonic (in Secret Rings) should be Low-Multiversal at his best. Of course, I am lowballing, he is much, much stronger, even in base. You should consider it in future animations.

I thought ultra sonic would be enough to beat MUI but that’s still a nice animation! What I would have done (if I could animate) is that sonic goes into hyper sonic, chaos controls gokus full power kamehameha, weakens him enough to knock him out and then they both revert to base except sonic is still standing and when Goku wakes up, sonic points a chilli dog at him and says something silly which makes Goku voluntarily pass out again for comedic purposes.

If Sonic went hyper, he wouldn't even have to do anything due to absolute invincibility. He literally could of just stayed idle until MUI almost killed Goku, OR he could of just flicked Goku out of MUI. Either works.

Sonic has fought three gods in his existence, Dark Gaia, Solaris and Perfect Chaos and beat every single one. While Goku get's his ass beat every time, tell me who sounds stronger? I'm a beginner on sprite animations, but just seeing this sprite animation inspired to do some more, I'm not here to say who should have won, But people like you just inspire me that if you put your mind into animating, anything is possible. Debunking that base sonic is only multi continental level The chaos emeralds are leagues above planetary level. ONE chaos emerald could destroy the planet and classic sonic could defeat two people at this level, an egg mobile with the chaos emerald and silver sonic with a chaos emerald. So this means that classic sonic in base > planet level. Base sonic also could seriously injure dark Gaia who is way above planetary level, so this means base sonic is planet level He defeated perfect chaos who had all 7 chaos emeralds, perfect chaos has actually been stated that he could destroy the planet in a guide and we already know that one chaos emerald could destroy an entire planet. So Planet level + to Multi planet level The chaos emeralds power the eclipse cannon which can pierce through stars, so this the chaos emeralds at star level They are also are what made emerl seriously unstable and in pain, not the final egg blaster which one shots Solar systems and has been calculated at billions of times the speed of light. We sonic keep up with eggman who had the wisps, the wisps are stated above that of the emeralds and they kept up with Dreamcast era sonic (mother wisp) not only that can create entire black holes which yes are black holes as while we do see light escaping it, we know that on certain horizons, light can escape from a black hole. So sonic beat him in 30 seconds which puts him above the Multi solar system level emerl. He is above erazor jinn who was absorbing universes and could create a infinite corridor, this is proven by him completely overpowering him when both absorbed the rings. Note that dark spine sonic absorbed less rings than Alf a Layla, so this confirms Base sonic > Erazor jinn So sonic is high universal level. He then takes on infinite who further backs up sonic far surpassing multi continental as we see him create hundreds to thousands and possibly even more Planetary level characters. We also know that sonic could beat eggman with the phantom ruby, the phantom ruby can spawn endless universes which destroy anything within it, considering how it’s endless, yeah sonic surviving null space later on in the game would give him universal durability and he straight up escapes the endless dimension, so this also backs up his infinite speed. Oh and before you say it’s an illusion, it’s not, if it was it would never have been stated to be able to destroy anything that enters or it would have never been referred to as an infinite dimension. Excalibur sonic beat the dark queen who was slapping around the same base sonic who is above erazor jinn , so this would put him at High universal level. Dark spine sonic could slap Alf a Layla who could warp the Arabian nights which has 1001 space times, so this is baseline multiversal. Super sonic defeated egg salamander, egg wizard, time eater, Solaris and is powered by the chaos emeralds which are required for half of the amount to create space time continuums, they scale to the sol emeralds which could already tear apart the space time continuum. So this is universal + from the gecko. The egg salamander is multiversal + on a lower scale from the egg wizard who has POTS, the same thing which is straight up responsible for the Sonic verse’s existence, a verse which has an uncountable number of 4D worlds making it 5D, the egg salamander had the sol emeralds which are weaker than the egg wizard as it took two characters at it’s (SE) level to defeat the egg wizard. The time eater the entire verse in white space. Solaris needs no introduction as he scales above the infinite amount of timelines which each hold a 5D structure, so he is literally 7D.
It's sad that a person who trained his whole life never giving up and trying to fight strong opponents just to lose to a hedgehog who uses emeralds for power and doesn't train at all and is really relying on something that sometimes doesn't work

Actually beleive it or not sonic does train. He admits that when he fights infinite. He says unlike a machine, he can still grow and gets stronger. But even if he didnt. People who train and work hard dont always win. Thats just reality. Sonic isnt the only person who beats goku. ALOT of people do and most dont train as much as him either.
Goku is actually more fortunate than Sonic in many regards. Unlike Sonic, when Goku gets beat up, he gets stronger Goku is naturally prone to fighting while Sonic isn’t. Sonic doesn’t have every single master in the multiverse to train him Sonic doesn’t have a rival who is always motivating Goku to train and get stronger. Sonic didn’t get some ritual to make him a literal god. Well, before I start, I really enjoyed the animation. Good visuals, the fights were pretty well paced. The only problem I have is the outcome. I do feel that Goku would win, however with difficulty. Let's get started. Goku 1. Was able to shake the entire macrocosm when fighting Beerus, being at macrocosm level. 2. Was able to evade Hit's time skip and surpassed Hit's time cage which was stated to surpass time itself. 3. Was stated multiple times to be beyond universal 4. Shook the world of void which is an infinite realm 5. Should surpass Toppo which did an infinite/immeasurable speed feat. Goku: Immeasurable/Infinite Speed and Multiversal Sonic - Was able to defeat Erazor Djinn who by existing alone was destroying the universe - Solaris who is multiversal - Was able to restore time/space simply by running(Infinite Speed) - Time hax for days lol Sonic: Immeasurable/Infinite Speed and Multiversal Now who wins? Well the answer is Goku, again with high difficulty - More hax(Sonic's time manipulation won't work as he's faster than Hit's time cage which surpasses time itself) and has dodge hax along with hakai which would destroy Sonic entirely - Is way more experienced: Goku has been fighting way more than Sonic and so would have more experience. - Skilled: Goku's wide arsenal clashes with Sonic's. However, Goku still has many up his sleeve. Overall: Goku would win but with high difficulty. Base Sonic < Base Goku < Super Sonic < MUI Goku

No dude, shook infinity void is an infinite 3D feat, at best high universal. The time skip was stated by whis that Hit create an alternate "dimension" where he moves faster. The time cage isn't a time thing and if it is, it's immesurably below the chaos control time stop. Goku never surpassed the 4th dimension, shaking the macrocosm don't put you at macrocosm level, at best at low universal. The full power of berrus was stated that he could destroy a universe, not a multiverse. Whis and his sister say that if Champa and Beerus fight they can cause the universe 6 and 7 to collapse...this is a universal feat for beerus at best. In plus goku wasn't even able to defeat universe zamasu who is low multiversal. In plus Solaris isn't "only" multiversal, but he destroyed the maginary world too which contains the dreams of all the people and creatures in the sonic multiverse, and every dream is stated to be a universe iirc. @@BayScrilla510 He does, but not in battle, when he used Chaos Control it was either after the Final Boss or in a time of emergency, the only way Sonic would used Chaos Control is if Goku threaten to Destroy the earth which is completely out of Goku's character. You may argue that Sonic used Chaos Control against Shadow in SA2 but the earth was about to be destroyed so theres was no time to waste, the faster he defeated Shadow and Destroy the eclipse cannon the better, and even if it wasn't the case there's a possibility this is just a game mechanic for the CPU during the battle.

Sonic has used chaos abilities in battle he just prefer not to use them, he leaves that for shadow. Sonic has stated this a few times in the games. Sonic used a fake emerald to use chaos control in a cutscene, that is definitely not a game mechanic, which even shocked Shadow. Sonic may be the embodiment of chaos in the games too. Sonic is actually pretty good with chaos energy and has some experience/understanding with it. Remember he went hyper sonic as a kid in Sonic 3&k, Sonic is a prodigy. A genius even.

I'm just going comment this because I'm getting tired of these one track minds that believe game sonic is weak and goku stomps because it shows lack of research for those who want to know how sonic kept up and beat goku, solaris and time eater are multiversal to mutiversal + being which super sonic was either close to power or superior to hence why goku couldn't one shot him or stomp him like people who do lack of research do

Yea no dude I don't think so Solaris can affect all timelines and Time Eater can only affect parts one, so how is Time Eater in the same tier of power as Solaris, I say using hax Time Eater is Universal+ and physically its unknown but holding back he can knock out Base Sonic and only push back Super Sonic Solaris is Multiversal because there isn't proof that there's infinite timelines Super Sonic is only Multiversal in 06 and in this hypothetical one timeline, Solaris' feats are an outlier to scale Super Sonic because of many other feats that are heavily inconsistent with Multiversal Super Sonic, meanwhile as we debated over, Goku is at least Multiversal+ and most likely Low Complex, and even if we say they had equalized Attack potency and durability(Super Sonic = SSJBKK Goku or even UI), Goku's Saiyan Biology will make him stronger than Sonic overtime while Sonic does not change in power all too much, maybe only slightly
Solaris itself is absolutely universal. Literally the very first thing Solaris does when it appears in the game is consume the entire timeline Sonic is in, with the cast only surviving because they were "caught by the spatial distortion". Whatever that means. Later, during the actual boss fight, Eggman also says this: Dr. Eggman: That body of light is the sign of a super-dimensional life form. Standard attacks won't work on him! He eats dimensions for lunch! Once again showing that Solaris has power on a cosmic scale. The important thing here, however, is that second line. "Standard attacks won't work on him". Even though Sonic has gone Super Sonic, he still can't hurt Solaris. Instead, Eggman suggests this: Dr. Eggman: But... There should be something anchoring him in this dimension. That's probably the light shells that can be seen on his body. If all of those are destroyed, he can be defeated! Super Sonic, Shadow, and Silver then all exploit this weakness to banish Solaris from their dimension. ...Except that doesn't work either. Solaris comes back basically completely unphased. In fact, it's arguable that it just got stronger. We then get this sequence of dialogue: Dr. Eggman: Ngh... Is it impossible to defeat a super-dimensional being after all? Elise: No... Something's different... I can feel a large, powerful consciousness coming from Solaris! Dr. Eggman: What? A consciousness!? Hmm... That's it! That's his core! Even if we can't stop his form, we can stop his consciousness! Super Sonic, Shadow, and Silver then all attack Solaris' core to defeat it. Again, they aren't matching Solaris' power at all. All they're doing is exploiting a weak point Solaris has. And even that doesn't defeat Solaris. After the battle, Sonic and Elise go... float in some void, at which point this exchange occurs: Elise: Did you destroy it? Sonic: No. That is the true Solaris. So, not only did the combined efforts of Super Sonic, Shadow, and Silver exploiting Solaris' weak points not defeat Solaris, they weren't even fighting Solaris' true form in the first place. In fact, what ultimately kills Solaris is Elise doing some time shenanigans with Solaris' flame, not anything Sonic ever did. The only case that can be made for Super Sonic scaling to Solaris is that you can survive his attacks in gameplay, though that just seems like gameplay mechanics to me. By the same line of reasoning, Moblins in Zelda would scale to Ganondorf since they can take hits from Link. It's just not a very strong piece of evidence, especially considering how everything else during the story emphasizes how overwhelmingly powerful Solaris is in comparison to you. 2. Super Sonic doesn't scale to the Egg Wizard In Sonic Rush Adventure, we learn there's a power greater than the Chaos and Sol Emeralds, the Power of the Stars. According to Eggman Nega, the Power of the Stars is what allows Sonic and Blaze's universes to stay separate, so presumably one with the Power of the Stars would have the ability to move and merge universes, right? Right. The Eggmen then absorb the Power of the Stars into the Egg Wizard, and then Super Sonic beats them, simple scaling. One problem with this. Eggman is holding back. At the end of the battle, Eggman Nega reveals that they've had a "Planet-Buster Laser" the entire time, and they just haven't used it. It's also implied that had the laser fired then everyone would've died, given that Eggman calls out Nega as being a madlad for even attempting it and that Super Sonic and Burning Blaze don't even try to stop the blast, only moving once they get saved by Marine interrupting the laser's charge. Plus, it wouldn't really make sense for Super Sonic to scale to the Power of the Stars anyways when, remember, the Power of the Stars is explicitly far stronger than the Chaos Emeralds. 3. Alf Layla wa-Layla isn't universal Darkspine Sonic isn't really Super Sonic, but he's a similar enough form and he's usually touted as being universal, so I feel like I should address this too. So, firstly, Darkspine Sonic is legitimately stronger than Alf Layla wa-Layla. There's no contextual shenanigans going on with that scaling, he just is. Furthermore, Alf Layla wa-Layla does legitimately turn the entire world of the Arabian Nights into a void, it's actually the very first thing he does.The problem is that the world of Arabian Nights is literally a book and is ridiculously easy to destroy. Early in the game we hear that Erazor had already been destroying the world of the Nights by literally just cutting pages out of the book. Like with a sword. Later on Erazor summons the ifrit spirit to destroy any remaining pages by just setting them on fire. Ifrit's fire isn't even really that hot, it got put out by Sonic just dumping a bunch of water on it with a World Ring. So, yes, Alf Layla wa-Layla did destroy the world of the Arabian Nights, but doing that just amounts to wiping out a bunch of pages in a book, not literally blowing up galaxies or stuff like that. The inhabitants of the Arabian Nights are just somehow able to physically interact with the pages they exist on as some weird form of hax. Debunk and done sonic is nowhere at universal or anywhere

In the Universe 6 saga, SSJBKKX10 overpowers Hit's time skip which makes him faster than time, later SSJB fights Hit to a stalemate, making him 10 times stronger.
In the Tournament of Power, SSJG is now equal to Hit which must mean SSJG is faster than Time.
Jiren was also stated to be the strongest foe Universe 7 had ever faced, even stronger than Infinite Zamasu which transcended timelines.
Jiren was stated to be above Time itself, and his Ki alone shook the WoV which is apparently an Infinite void with no time and space, making it 5D to Infinite 5D. UI Omen preformed the same feat.
Later, SSJB is above UI Omen, making him 5D in terms of power.
MUI is even Infinite above that.
This all should make current Goku Infinite 5D.
This sounds incredible, doesn't it? Our favourite Monkey being so powerful, if only it was true, most of this are either outliers or make no sense at all. Goku is actually Infinite 3D at best in terms of power. Zeno dwarfs Goku heavily in terms of power and he is only 4D.
I doubt the godly base form even exists anymore due to how bullshit the scaling in Super is.
What's insane is that even if we give Goku all of this wank, Sonic is actually still much stronger and faster, as he is Infinite 6D in his Super Form with Immeasurable speeds, you can thank Solaris and Time Eater for that, and because of Egg Salamander and Egg Wizard, they aren't outliers in the slightest.
What's even funnier is that a lowballed Base Sonic is Universal+ to Low-Multiversal with Infinite speed, meaning that Goku would have to tap into Ultra Instinct to even stand a chance, even at this ridiculous lowball. Super Sonic is self explanatory.

Because of Erazor Djinn, he was absorbing the Arabian Nights which is at least a Universe, and let's not forget that Sonic was getting weaker as the game progressed due to Erazor cursing him with the Arrow of Light. So even at this lowball, Base Sonic (in Secret Rings) should be Low-Multiversal at his best.
Of course, I am lowballing, he is much, much stronger, even in base. You should consider it in future animations.

I thought ultra sonic would be enough to beat MUI but that’s still a nice animation! What I would have done (if I could animate) is that sonic goes into hyper sonic, chaos controls gokus full power kamehameha, weakens him enough to knock him out and then they both revert to base except sonic is still standing and when Goku wakes up, sonic points a chilli dog at him and says something silly which makes Goku voluntarily pass out again for comedic purposes.

Debunking that base sonic is only multi continental level
The chaos emeralds are leagues above planetary level. ONE chaos emerald could destroy the planet and classic sonic could defeat two people at this level, an egg mobile with the chaos emerald and silver sonic with a chaos emerald. So this means that classic sonic in base > planet level.
Base sonic also could seriously injure dark Gaia who is way above planetary level, so this means base sonic is planet level
He defeated perfect chaos who had all 7 chaos emeralds, perfect chaos has actually been stated that he could destroy the planet in a guide and we already know that one chaos emerald could destroy an entire planet. So Planet level + to Multi planet level
The chaos emeralds power the eclipse cannon which can pierce through stars, so this the chaos emeralds at star level
They are also are what made emerl seriously unstable and in pain, not the final egg blaster which one shots Solar systems and has been calculated at billions of times the speed of light.
We sonic keep up with eggman who had the wisps, the wisps are stated above that of the emeralds and they kept up with Dreamcast era sonic (mother wisp) not only that can create entire black holes which yes are black holes as while we do see light escaping it, we know that on certain horizons, light can escape from a black hole. Sonic would at least be star level for surviving a black hole and keeping with opponents who had enough power to generate one.

He beat emerl in his ultimate state, people often say that emerl was weakened but this is not true, emerl was just in pain and he was unstable, NOT weakened. So sonic beat him in 30 seconds which puts him above the Multi solar system level emerl.
He is above erazor jinn who was absorbing universes and could create a infinite corridor, this is proven by him completely overpowering him when both absorbed the rings. Note that dark spine sonic absorbed less rings than Alf a Layla, so this confirms Base sonic > Erazor jinn
So sonic is high universal level.
He then takes on infinite who further backs up sonic far surpassing multi continental as we see him create hundreds to thousands and possibly even more Planetary level characters. We also know that sonic could beat eggman with the phantom ruby, the phantom ruby can spawn endless universes which destroy anything within it, considering how it’s endless, yeah sonic surviving null space later on in the game would give him universal durability and he straight up escapes the endless dimension, so this also backs up his infinite speed. Oh and before you say it’s an illusion, it’s not, if it was it would never have been stated to be able to destroy anything that enters or it would have never been referred to as an infinite dimension. Hell if it was definitely would not be a huge ass rift when sonic broke out.

Now let’s get into his super forms.
Excalibur sonic beat the dark queen who was slapping around the same base sonic who is above erazor jinn , so this would put him at High universal level.
Dark spine sonic could slap Alf a Layla who could warp the Arabian nights which has 1001 space times, so this is baseline multiversal.
Super sonic defeated egg salamander, egg wizard, time eater, Solaris and is powered by the chaos emeralds which are required for half of the amount to create space time continuums, they scale to the sol emeralds which could already tear apart the space time continuum. So this is universal + from the gecko.
The egg salamander is multiversal + on a lower scale from the egg wizard who has POTS, the same thing which is straight up responsible for the Sonic verse’s existence, a verse which has an uncountable number of 4D worlds making it 5D, the egg salamander had the sol emeralds which are weaker than the egg wizard as it took two characters at it’s (SE) level to defeat the egg wizard.
The time eater the entire verse in white space.
Solaris needs no introduction as he scales above the infinite amount of timelines which each hold a 5D structure, so he is literally 7D.

Actually beleive it or not sonic does train. He admits that when he fights infinite. He says unlike a machine, he can still grow and gets stronger. But even if he didnt. Well, before I start, I really enjoyed the animation. Good visuals, the fights were pretty well paced. The only problem I have is the outcome. I do feel that Goku would win, however with difficulty. Let's get started.
Goku
1. Was able to shake the entire macrocosm when fighting Beerus, being at macrocosm level.
2. Was able to evade Hit's time skip and surpassed Hit's time cage which was stated to surpass time itself.
3. Was stated multiple times to be beyond universal
4. Shook the world of void which is an infinite realm
5. Should surpass Toppo which did an infinite/immeasurable speed feat.
Goku: Immeasurable/Infinite Speed and Multiversal
Sonic
- Was able to defeat Erazor Djinn who by existing alone was destroying the universe
- Solaris who is multiversal
- Was able to restore time/space simply by running(Infinite Speed)
- Time hax for days lol
Sonic: Immeasurable/Infinite Speed and Multiversal
Now who wins? Well the answer is Goku, again with high difficulty
- More hax(Sonic's time manipulation won't work as he's faster than Hit's time cage which surpasses time itself) and has dodge hax along with hakai which would destroy Sonic entirely
- Is way more experienced: Goku has been fighting way more than Sonic and so would have more experience.
- Skilled: Goku's wide arsenal clashes with Sonic's. However, Goku still has many up his sleeve.
Overall: Goku would win but with high difficulty.

The time cage isn't a time thing and if it is, it's immesurably below the chaos control time stop. The full power of berrus was stated that he could destroy a universe, not a multiverse. Whis and his sister say that if Champa and Beerus fight they can cause the universe 6 and 7 to collapse...this is a universal feat for beerus at best. In plus goku wasn't even able to defeat universe zamasu who is low multiversal. You may argue that Sonic used Chaos Control against Shadow in SA2 but the earth was about to be destroyed so theres was no time to waste, the faster he defeated Shadow and Destroy the eclipse cannon the better, and even if it wasn't the case there's a possibility this is just a game mechanic for the CPU during the battle.

Sonic is actually pretty good with chaos energy and has some experience/understanding with it.

Literally the very first thing Solaris does when it appears in the game is consume the entire timeline Sonic is in, with the cast only surviving because they were "caught by the spatial distortion". Whatever that means. Later, during the actual boss fight, Eggman also says this:
Dr. Eggman: That body of light is the sign of a super-dimensional life form. Standard attacks won't work on him! He eats dimensions for lunch!
Once again showing that Solaris has power on a cosmic scale. The important thing here, however, is that second line. "Standard attacks won't work on him". Even though Sonic has gone Super Sonic, he still can't hurt Solaris. Instead, Eggman suggests this:
Dr. Eggman: But... There should be something anchoring him in this dimension. That's probably the light shells that can be seen on his body. If all of those are destroyed, he can be defeated!
Super Sonic, Shadow, and Silver then all exploit this weakness to banish Solaris from their dimension.
...Except that doesn't work either.
Solaris comes back basically completely unphased. In fact, it's arguable that it just got stronger. We then get this sequence of dialogue:
Dr. Eggman: Ngh... Is it impossible to defeat a super-dimensional being after all?
Elise: No... Something's different... I can feel a large, powerful consciousness coming from Solaris!
Dr. Eggman: What? A consciousness!? Hmm... That's it! That's his core! Even if we can't stop his form, we can stop his consciousness!
Super Sonic, Shadow, and Silver then all attack Solaris' core to defeat it. Again, they aren't matching Solaris' power at all. All they're doing is exploiting a weak point Solaris has.
And even that doesn't defeat Solaris. After the battle, Sonic and Elise go... float in some void, at which point this exchange occurs:
Elise: Did you destroy it?
Sonic: No. That is the true Solaris.
So, not only did the combined efforts of Super Sonic, Shadow, and Silver exploiting Solaris' weak points not defeat Solaris, they weren't even fighting Solaris' true form in the first place. In fact, what ultimately kills Solaris is Elise doing some time shenanigans with Solaris' flame, not anything Sonic ever did.
The only case that can be made for Super Sonic scaling to Solaris is that you can survive his attacks in gameplay, though that just seems like gameplay mechanics to me. By the same line of reasoning, Moblins in Zelda would scale to Ganondorf since they can take hits from Link. It's just not a very strong piece of evidence, especially considering how everything else during the story emphasizes how overwhelmingly powerful Solaris is in comparison to you.
2. Super Sonic doesn't scale to the Egg Wizard
In Sonic Rush Adventure, we learn there's a power greater than the Chaos and Sol Emeralds, the Power of the Stars. According to Eggman Nega, the Power of the Stars is what allows Sonic and Blaze's universes to stay separate, so presumably one with the Power of the Stars would have the ability to move and merge universes, right? Right. The Eggmen then absorb the Power of the Stars into the Egg Wizard, and then Super Sonic beats them, simple scaling.
One problem with this.
Eggman is holding back. At the end of the battle, Eggman Nega reveals that they've had a "Planet-Buster Laser" the entire time, and they just haven't used it. It's also implied that had the laser fired then everyone would've died, given that Eggman calls out Nega as being a madlad for even attempting it and that Super Sonic and Burning Blaze don't even try to stop the blast, only moving once they get saved by Marine interrupting the laser's charge.
Plus, it wouldn't really make sense for Super Sonic to scale to the Power of the Stars anyways when, remember, the Power of the Stars is explicitly far stronger than the Chaos Emeralds.
3. Alf Layla wa-Layla isn't universal
Darkspine Sonic isn't really Super Sonic, but he's a similar enough form and he's usually touted as being universal, so I feel like I should address this too.
So, firstly, Darkspine Sonic is legitimately stronger than Alf Layla wa-Layla. There's no contextual shenanigans going on with that scaling, he just is. Furthermore, Alf Layla wa-Layla does legitimately turn the entire world of the Arabian Nights into a void, it's actually the very first thing he does.The problem is that the world of Arabian Nights is literally a book and is ridiculously easy to destroy.
Early in the game we hear that Erazor had already been destroying the world of the Nights by literally just cutting pages out of the book. Like with a sword. Later on Erazor summons the ifrit spirit to destroy any remaining pages by just setting them on fire. Ifrit's fire isn't even really that hot, it got put out by Sonic just dumping a bunch of water on it with a World Ring.
So, yes, Alf Layla wa-Layla did destroy the world of the Arabian Nights, but doing that just amounts to wiping out a bunch of pages in a book, not literally blowing up galaxies or stuff like that. The inhabitants of the Arabian Nights are just somehow able to physically interact with the pages they exist on as some weird form of hax.

I just wanna say. I have been doing some EXTREME research. I have made a HUGE mistake. Goku would trash on Sonic in his Base form. ESPECIALLY with Ultra Instinct. Not even Hyper or Super Sonic would defeat Base Goku or Ultra Instinct. Goku can solo the (Game) Sonic verse effortlessly. Goku is Hyperversal in all of his forms.

Over the series, Super Sonic's appearance has changed gradually.
