I didn't know The Storm made any videos. This is a rare jewel. I really wish they'd come back. They were so good. What the music industry is producing and trying to pass as music nowadays is CRIMINAL.
This was one the only two bands to sound as great as Journey in the 1990s when there was no Journey lineup touring. The other was Bad English. Both had their roots from Journey. Gregg Rolie in this band and Neal/Jonathan in Bad English. Glad this can still be played. Wish there were more videos of this band. Thanks to THE STORM for keeping the music alive in the 1990s.
Can’t help missing the time that we sang this song, I said: this will be the timeless classic. Lots of years passed, I hummed the melody at midnight for no reason.
They are a Supergroup SplitOff From Journey and Santana-Also Checkout The Other Supergroup BadEnglish Splitoff From Journey and the Babbies[70 Group} Enjoy!!!
I think he is absolutely breathtaking, myself, Lisa. He needs to come to the U.S.!! I'm sure he will be big here, with the right management, and the right people behind him, with all the stars and planets lined up. I think people here would love him!!
Really, Chicago! Why isn't this guy seen more?! Not to mention, heard from?! His voice is incredible! He needs to do a tour, or something! Maybe do some concerts on the East Coast, and go on from there!
Although Steve was the drummer for the Storm debut album, he dropped out of the band and was replaced by Ron Wisko who later was the drummer on the second Storm album. So although Steve is the drummer on "Show Me The Way", the video shows Ron Wisko.
damn! is it just me or deja vu. First time to hear this song, i think i heard it before but i cant put my fingers on it. any way thanks for the post enjoyed it and hearing good songs like this bring back good memories.
@bonovox1970ify Gregg Rolie left Journey because he did not like touring as much as they were. He wanted more time for his family. Gregg picked Jonathan Cain as his replacement. You would know this had you seen Behind The Music: Journey on VH1 or VH1 Classic. Gregg Rolie's parts are now done very well by Jonathan Cain in concert. So Gregg's duets live on. I have had the pleasure of meeting Gregg Rolie in his band's concerts. He lives on and is still doing the Santana hits & more.
I have to say, this is really good!! I never heard of Kevin Chalfant before, but he is really good! This is from 2007?! Where has this guy been?! He has got one h*ll of a voice! And, I mean no disrespect to Steve Perry at all, because this guy sounds nothing like him, he's not a wannabe, and I'll always adore that man! (Steve, of course) But, this guy has his own sound, and I think he sings fantastic!
mbcrra says they copied a 70's band from Seville, yeah try to buy a web sight name and see how many people own it, the storm that performed in the 80's with kevin chalfant as vocals was completely original and one of 1,000's of groups that knew great music, and here we are 30 years later making that very point, and do you know what the difference is..... Kevin Chalfant is still recording music, I love Led Zeppelin and Scorpions, but they quit long ago.. ha ha
Hey steve perry is always gonna be tops , but these guy's sound great too ...of course they do there steve's brother's from journey well two of them ... but they are there own sound ...no the vocalist doesn't sound anything like steve perry ...thou they do sound great at there own thing and what they do ....still I myself feel journey is not journey without steve and the original line up ...
Kevin Chalfant has a much better voice and stage presence than Steve Perry.....and certainly better than any of the other "wannabes" that sang while Perry was MIA. He is AMAZING!!!!!
WOW!!! they copied the name of the band! The real "The Storm" was a 70's band from Sevilla (Spain)... they played with Queen! If they were born in U.K. or the U.S.A. they would be unforgettable, as Zeppelin, Scorpions, Purple, etc, etc...
I didn't know The Storm made any videos. This is a rare jewel. I really wish they'd come back. They were so good.
What the music industry is producing and trying to pass as music nowadays is CRIMINAL.
Kevin Chalfant: Fly To Freedom album rocks! He just keeps getting better and better!

I think he is absolutely breathtaking, myself, Lisa. He needs to come to the U.S.!! I'm sure he will be big here, with the right management, and the right people behind him, with all the stars and planets lined up. I think people here would love him!!
He is....he lives in Chicago :)
Really, Chicago! Why isn't this guy seen more?! Not to mention, heard from?! His voice is incredible! He needs to do a tour, or something! Maybe do some concerts on the East Coast, and go on from there!

Steve Smith tours constantly with his band Vital Information
Underrated
These guys were great, two albums just werent enough.
So who has been with 3 Bands with Top 10 Hits? Gregg that's who. HOFX2
I used to think this was a Journey song back in the day. Little did I know this was one of their side projects.
@bucky468 Kevin Chalfant wasnt in Shooting Star. That was Gary West
just remember why you're all even mentioning steve perry here.... steve perry IS the standard by which ur all measuring kevin by....
Ya Steve Perry does sound alot like Kevin Chalfant. You Rock Kevin!!!
@JourneyAlwaysRocks Gregg Rolie, Ross Vallory and Steve Smith in this band, originally
superb!...
Now I Have You Here................. :)
they were from Seville, there were amazing bands in Seville in 70's
La voz de steve perry...??? genial...y tecladista y bajista de Journey....genial el sonido....

in 1992 "The Storm" charted but never got that big.
That's too bad! He really is fantastic! I wonder whatever happened to him?!
He joined/formed a band called Two Fires and also sang for "Kevin Chelfant Journey Experience"
It's too bad The Storm didn't get the starlight they deserved. This band is among the bests in the genre.
Th Storm included Ross Vallory Greg Rollie and Steve Smith from "Journey"
@jtijerino08 Its in Amazon. Had the original tape, but no deck that works anymore lol. D/L'd the whole album :)
@PuckRocker43 True. I simply refer to the touring lineup and the lineup credited on the record as the major players.
@RichieD814 Well, this album went to #3 on the billboards so I doubt at the time he was all that concerned.
Miss u.. #Hsue
uh... like wow
well actually im pretty sure rollie was there before perry
WAAAAY BEFORE.
who is the drummer in this video? Steve Smith played on the "album", but that's definitely not him here.
2019 from Jakarta
Класс
Who is the drummer in this video ? Is it Ron Wisko ?
2 hit songs then they just vanish from the music scene saw them when they opened for bryan adams
That's not Steve Smith on drums.Anyone know where he is?
he sounds a lot like steve perry

Anybody know where to buy this Cd iTunes doesn’t have it
Steve Smith too
The only other band better than The Storm is Journey.
were did you get it from
Steve smith
George G
Ron Wilso is in the video on drums. Smith left shortly after recording.
Neil Schon's next singer?
@HomerPL Minus the ego :)
Who the hell is on the drums?? That ain't Steve Smith!!
@My96XJ Yeah, you can thank Nirvana for them disappearing. Many great bands were shown the door once grunge became popular.

Survivor wasn't that bad. Jimmie was good for them. The Storm however was great. Wish they'd had done more
its not
mailman6161--He's teaching drumming, isn't that great!
Journey is only better when Kevin sings the lead..........Perry should have stayed away permanently.
Pretty boring ngl
