Honestly to be fair to the fandom the earlier comic strips from before Hetalia became popular could be extremely problematic and the ideas that France was a rapist and Spain was a pedophile were not entirely unfounded. Fortunately Hima has learned from that and all of the characters are MUCH better (including Russia, who was also involved in problematic content).
