Since they are OGN hired and Rito has no power over them whatsoever, they are considered freelancers at such events. The problem is, Monte wanted to be payed the same as the industry standard - which means as much as the other casters get for other e-sport events, such as CS:GO, Hearthstone , etc etc.
Riot refused to pay the industry standard. If they want free labor hand they should rewind to 18th century.

If you consider the H2K matchup all the way until semis the only "Hard" rival was EDG and they had the underperforming god Clearlove (Also Mouse that is bad af).
So yeah, we'll se how they play against the 3rd seed of Korea, this worlds showed up that you need a second seeding, otherwise, a team like H2K that did no shit this year will be at the place that FNATIC that was incredibly good got last year.
I'm not from NA to clarify, but H2K got lucky and the rest of EU was shit
Darkaren XL ehm actually since EU did so bad at MSI they were literally put in the worst possible group.
And ANX was in the same group as CLG and, like you said, G2 played really bad BUT they still didn't get 2' place.
I won't say EU played well at world but every discussion about "how NA did better" just can't work.

I understand the feelings the crowd has towards cheering for another nation's team, and probably like them, I'm somewhat disappointed seeing the LCS dominated by Korean players, but even so you should always give respect where it's due. Those players worked their asses off to be as good as they are at the game just to make it to worlds. That took time, effort, and a lot of grief from stressing over trying to be successful with deeper game knowledge and strats probably 80% of that crowd doesn't even know about.
And NA showed their colors by booing them or being silent, while only a few good spirits cheered like they should have. You watch worlds previous games in other nations and even THEY have the decency to cheer foreign players as a greeting. I'm almost ashamed to be associated with fellow Americans.
ANX should be the MVP for fails this time

For clarification I'm indeed a Muslim and that Allahu Akbar meme is hilarious. I have no reason whatsoever to be mad as the people don't represent me and I'm quite happy because people saying "Allahu Akbar" before they commit murder are no Muslims at all. PS I think clearlove is new to league :^)
