Towing a Trailer to Colorado to Ride MTB!

- This video will be a little different, as I haven't had much time to ride over the last week. On Thursday I rented a travel trailer and set out towards Moab to attend Outerbike.
If you're ever driven from the East coast out to the rockies, you should be able to relate to this trip.

WOW! My uncle owns that diner!!! It's in the small town of Flagler, Colorado. The whole time you're talking about driving on I70 through Kansas toward Colorado I kept thinking that eventually you'd have to pass by Flagler. That's so crazy haha, small world
mastrcodr LARGE KANSAS DOE
waititskevan fuck you
I drive from Ohio to Denver every year and have eaten there before it’s good
Alexis Longpré don’t be a salty prick it’s just a joke have a sense of humour!!!
yall are pussies
"If we died on the way there it would be completely Alexanders fault."
Very comforting mind set Seth!
The adventure videos are back! Alex and I have already logged one pretty crazy ride, and will be continuing the adventure in Moab, followed by Crested Butte. I'm starting to really like this glamper trailer thing...
Come visit the western state Colorado bike team while your in crested butte
Wow that's cool! We are going to Moab tonight. We will be doing The whole enchilada Saturday. I really hope to see you there.
Hit up ruby hill in denver!
Seth's Bike Hacks took a spill on that drop at 2:33 had ten stitches put in
Im glad you guys made it there without any issues, can´t wait to see the riding videos!
Now this is the video I've been waiting for :)
You are the one who inspired me to start mountain biking I bought a GT Avalanche pretty basic but I hope I'm going to enjoy the sport. Thank you for your videos
You still riding it?
I almost pissed myself laughing at the eggs LMAO
I am just blown away by your videos! The fact that you have footage like this - traveling. Also, building, maintenance, building your workshop - I love all of them! Not too many RUclipsrs do this, and I am ever so thankful for the content you put out!
You drove right past my place! I live in Silverthorne CO. It so cool to see someone with a channel as big as yours drive through! I make snowboard RUclips videos up here. Just snow starting to get into mountain videos. Your channel has been a huge help! Thanks for everything man!
Excellent as usual. Seth we miss you in Miami. Oleta, Virginia, and Markham park said hi.
Good luck with your cleanup! I'm sure those trails will be better than ever once the builders are done.
That derraileur-rip-avoiding little hop by Alex was awesome!
at 7:50
Another great video Seth this really is what mountain biking is all about taking trips camping and riding your mountain bike we did this for years and always had a great time.
Bought a 32' toy hauler this year to haul go karts and bikes all over the place to make our camping & vacations that much more amazing. Glad you chose to sample the camper and also enjoyed your trip to PNW a couple months ago (i live right by from Exit 27, Tiger, Duthie etc).
The whole video I was waiting for a "Seths wife reveal" ... very elusive 😄
Im pretty sure its just skillswithphil in disguise 😁
If you google search Amy Bike Hacks nothing comes up. Guess that’s not their actual name
Last name I alvo
Why would you want to see her let lem have there privacy
@@olivercox6007 dang
I just moved to Grand Junction a bit over a month ago from the east coast, the riding is great here. It's pretty cool to see you coming out here, especially since your videos helped me learn a lot of the basics (which I'm still trying to refine)! Careful of the mud here, if you don't wash your bike/vehicles off within a few hours that stuff will harden to concrete levels and may require scraping or a while under a hose.
Edit: Also, you will love the burritos here. I personally recommend Leon's Taqueria
My family of 6 and I have a very small camper from the 80s and we have been using it for many years, I have some great memories in that thing
I like all the backstory. Makes the trip seem more real like we get to go with you guys! Great content man. This is going to be awesome!
Come to Colorado Springs! Tons of great stuff here I can show ya!
"And if we died on the way there, it would completely be Alexander's fault"
Jax
So excited for more adventures, especially Crested Butte! You'll love it there.
Hi seth id like to say thank you for all your videos.i have lost 16kgs since april this year after watching your videos and trying mountain biking for myself.i now ride 7days aweek and love every minute of it,thank you for inspiring me to start thinking of my health and to get out and enjoy life instead of being stuck infront of my pc all day.
Kansas! I ride that IMBA epic you mentioned!
Hey Seth
Could you do A video on all the bikes you have?
yasss
Douwe Meuwissen apart from the two newer Diamondbacks he already has , look for something like "whole bike squad" on his channel
Douwe Meuwissen there is video about his whole squad
he has like 3 videos on his collection
All the videos about the bike fleet are kinda outdated. His fleet has updated a lot over a year. So a new update would be great.
Seth just wanted to say thank you for your videos with helping out what else is out there for mountain biking keep up the good work.i am subscribed for life.if you ever found your self on the east coast again and a group ride I would be delighted to enjoy dig your style.enjoy Colorado
Bro So Stoked to see you out about in a trailer. I love camping and does the fam. It lets me get out and rail while they hang out or go do other stuff than shredding. Keep killing it and remember to keep the rubber side on this trip and Live-Life-Loud!!!
thumbs up for a new video. thumbs down for making me relive all the times i've driven across Kansas
drewnobi i pive in olathe
Brup Brown I live in goodland haha
I have drove through it 3 times. Misery is bad too. The first time I drove from GA to the Colorado Rockies. I went back to GA for a year and drove back to Colorado in a old 4runner. Then my mom came up in a RV and I went back to GA with her. I flew back to Colorado after visiting family.
Done that about 15 times lol
Brup Brown same
Dude you should swing by Wyoming on your way home and hit Curt Gowdy state park.
That's cool that you made it back to Bentonville! Have a safe drive and have fun putting miles on those bikes!
Cool, glad you are having fun on your trip. I personally love camping, but have only camped at one spot with a mountain bike trail. Fuel economy in a Ford Expedition EL from 2012 with a 20-30’ trailer will get you under 10 mpg.
If you pass by denver there are a few dirt jump parks for bikes here the best one is ruby hill park some good jumps and cool people there
God I love ruby hill. Destroyed my first bike there! lol
And village greens! Don't forget about the aurorians!
seth is backk😄
awesome cinematography. that final shot was 🔥🔥🔥
My daughter and I made a similar trip this summer. Though it was just she and I riding Slaughter Pen. Kansas was dreadful and that first part of Co. We had a bast over the next 2 weeks camping and riding all over Co. We made a much quicker more direct trip back to NC than the trip out which we also toured Graceland with my mom. Have a blast out there we did!
Seth: amazed with I-70 corridor
Me: Drives it every day
btw. Drama in 4k looks epic
brought back some great memories , last year me and my family did almost the same route through Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas to Colorado. I don't think I will ever go to Kansas again, lol.
Best youtuber
Welcome to Fall in Colorado. You hit Loveland during one of the worst days we've had since like March.
thatsnogood lmao yea vail pass got fucked
He never went that far north. He went on I-25 northbound then merged onto C470 and then onto I-70 up to the mountains.
This 'road trip' is absolutely, 100% part of mountain biking!!
Great vid!
You guys are living the dream. Two of my inspiratiinal channels man. Awesome... keep it going. I hope one days my channel grows to a size on were I can do more and more
Seth, what about a video about the car? Your review of the Ridgeline would be fun to watch.
Driving through kansas the only thing you'll see is a rose gold audi R8. and a crazy driver in it
Welcome to Colorado bro we are going to have a great winter and enjoy some awesome mountain biking
Nice choice with the Onyx coffee! Always a solid choice.
If you stop in Fort Collins I have some trails suggestions for you👌🏻
Hey! A fellow fort Collins resident! I know it's late but I have been researching mtb for the longest time now and I should be getting my first bike soon. But could you recommend some trails? Keep shredding 🤘
You should come visit Colorado Springs! We have so many things to ride and me and my friends would love to ride with you and Alex!
VERY COOL...looking forward to the next vid.
Nice to see your great channel popping this big!
You are right and wrong about kansas western kansas is flat and baron. Eastern kansas has some freaking awesome trails. please stop in kansas so us kansas riders could meet you.
You guys say Colorad...
IMA GIRAFFE
say Idaho!
waititskevan wtf
Keep up the good work Seth! Enjoying videos
My girlfriend and I just got back from a 2,400 mile trip to the Pacific Northwest from California towing our 17' Casita Travel Trailer with our '17 Ridgeline. We brought our bikes but barely got to ride as our days were filled with exploring by car or on foot. Our trailer weighs about 3,500# loaded with water, gear and supplies. We were able to average nearly 17mpg over the entire trip, trying to keep the speed under 65mph. We really wanted to attend Outerbike this Fall but not enough time off, hopefully we can make it out in the Spring.
Beautiful truck Seth, I sell those for a living! I planned on putting a video together soon showing how great they are for a guy with a passion for mountain biking! Honda Ridgeline!
It's the new Honda Element-but with better fuel economy!
Seth's Bike Hacks, I have people begging for Elements! I liked this video, I enjoy how you put them together, great job!
the ridgeline with a slanted truck bed side walls was hideous. bit this one actually looks cool.
Major Tom i wanted to ditch my F150 for the new ridgeline until they made it look like a van with a truck bed. The older version looks more like a truck. I liked everything about it, but can't get over the van front end. I had higher hopes.
checkitblake I agree, from the front end the older one looks really good, and the current one looks like their own minivan, the odissey. I didnt like that either, but at least the truck bed looks normal now.... But if i were to buy a truck, Id go with a Tacoma, because its raised from the floor not like the trucks that ford and chevrolet makes with bumpers that scrape the pavement. Id like my Pickup to be offroad capable.
"Trailer cut our fuel to 15 mpg" my dads truck is 11 mpg without towing
Ikr, My challenger will usually get 15 ish… if I’m enjoying all 502 horsepower then I’ll no shit get 4.5mpg. 😂
great filming & editing! Very entertaining even without shredding ... looking forward to the next one!
Looks like a damn good place to ride. And the drive would be a good sense of adventure as well. Cant wait to check your sessions out there.
"completely Alexander's fault" lmao
I thought your dog's name was trauma
Dirt Everyday can confirm, the dogs name is bahama
Wait, its not llama?
Obviously 'Drama" is a nickname, the dog must be Johnny Chase.
Bananarama
Chris Ormsby
You mean Johnny CASE, considering it’s what seth does to jumps
the experience is incredible, great your description
Awesome quality video! Even with sub-par content still kept me interested and watching👍🏼
Seth you should get a downhill bike
He doesn't need to. He has to spend 10K and it will be eating dirt. He doesn't ride downhill
How much it costed that back car thing?
Aayush Parmar i think he just rented it
rekamniar for what price can we buy that
Aayush Parmar it must be a little expensive
Shudu ki vines lol my personal own house. That has bathroom too
Aayush Parmar ohhhh
Looks like an awesome trip! Love the camper
Camping with a nice trailer in a spot with RV hookups is the best. For me, the most important thing to have access to is power. Although a generator is nice, they can be loud and the really loud ones can't be run at night. The generators with built-in inverters are great but expensive. Looks like you guys scored nicely with this setup.
Stay upright and keep the rubber side down.
-Brian
Hey Seth, I think a great videos would be going through and testing out diamond backs mtb range. Testing from the cheapest Real mtbs to the top level and make comparisons.Like so he can see
Is singletrack sampler your girlfriend?
booboy123 nope. The question is are you a girl
Bakedasavage Monden nope I have a penis
According to some people you could still be a woman! The question is what do you identify as?
Michael Hayes Talk sh*t get hit. His comment was offensive
I understand, haha. Just having some fun with it.
Nice, you took the first route, the same way i did to Breckenridge CO. Great place!
Just moved to Junction from NC. So know that Kansas trip well. Enjoy the trails here in Junction hope to bump into you both.
Hey Seth, I go up to the college a half hour from crested butte, without the snow man those trails are so fun! Highly recommend to find a day when the snow is cleared
We stopped at Wilson Lake when driving through for my daughter to ride the IMBA Epic trail there. It was like an oasis in the middle of Kansas!
Great vid, Seth, looking forward to the next ones from CO
This looks like a sick adventure! Can't wait to see the other videos!
I'm glad to know Seth visited my hometown, Denver
Sick Seth. Can't wait till the riding!
Great video once again! Really useful for people who are on a budget!
Dude hope you have a blast. Bet the drive will be worth it!
Great vid thanks for taking us along
Drove from Portsmouth, Va. all the way to San Diego, Ca. and driving through Kansas was the worse part. After getting through there and in Colorado, Utah, and Arizona was gorgeous!
Dope stuff Seth! Can’t wait for the video of the trail rides
I live in Breckenridge, there was about 10 inches of snow on the ground Monday morning. Most of it melted, but you will encounter it up higher. I took my bike out yesterday with my dogs pulling me. The trails where muddy. We are suppose to get more snow next week.
Me and my family before 3 years went from Latvia to Bulgaria (2500 km) and we rode 1200km and we were searching for our hotel and we couldn't find it so we continued to drive, my mom started driving and we had a break to sleep for 2 hours. So we continued later. It took us 45 hours to get there. But it was very good vacation.
Damn, wish I had known you were coming through GJ!! So Stoked That You Discovered The Lunch Loops. Get After It & Stay Strong.
Cheers
Wow dude! This is great. I can't wait for what's to come! 👍
I'm from Junction. It's always cool to hear about the small town you're from, from outsiders. Junction though isn't actually that small.
I think the next few videos of camping and mt biking are going to be great. Can't wait to see them.
When I read the title, I was like ride where in Colorado. We are getting ready for snowboard season in a few weeks. I figured you came over during that week long storm we had.
The glamping looks good Seth, if anything does go wrong you can just blame Alex. Have a great trip, can't wait to see your vids
That last shot show just exactly how skilled of a rider Alex is!
Nice seeing somewhere I ride all the time
Bummer the weather screwed up your Monarch Crest? ride. I was glad the storm was kinda light in Boulder and my still leafed-out trees were not destroyed. Hope you enjoyed Moab outerbike. Look forward to some crazy ride video from Moab.
Great video! Thanks for sharing
If you make it to the Northern Part of the Front Range, you should go all the way to Wyoming. In southern Wyoming, between Cheyenne and Laramie is some awesome mountain biking. Curt Gowdy is on point, and there are several other decent places just minutes away from there. Laramie is a cool small town, and west of Laramie over the beautiful Snowy Range is a tiny town called Saratoga that has free hot springs and is worth the drive through.
Nice video...you definitely have an art of making interesting videos about anything.
Yup welcome to Colorado where it starts snowing in September and sometimes doesn't stop till May or June.
Awesome video as always Seth!
I'm so excited for the videos of the next 3 weeks
I cant imagine having to rent a trailer. So nice that my family has our own tent trailer. We know all the quirks that it has and how to deal with them. Not much is a surprise anymore and we know exactly what we need to pack and how to pack it. Also, im not a fan of hotels so thats a plus
Kansas is all the things you mentioned. Perfect summation. And that is from someone who lives here. Surprised you did not show the windmills on I-70 though.
Hi Seth you should totally come down to Durango! I’m a high school mtb racer and I love ur videos. Our mtb scene is no joke as we are home to some of the greatest riders in the world, Howard grotts, ned overend, and Todd Wells to name a few. You would have so much fun riding our trails!
Youre dog head tilting was hilarious! 😂
Nice video. Thanks for sharing!
