Your beginner mountain bike series really helped me to get motivated and go mountain bike for the first time. Me and my dad went out to bike for the first time a few days ago and it is really fun! One thing I did wish I had when I was biking is a pair of gloves. Being a first time rider my thumbs were rubbed raw and started bleeding and made my ride a little uncomfortable. I also fell on a wood bridge that curves and I got like 4 splinters.

I love my PROFRAME, but does anyone have a suggestion to fix goggles from pinching my nose? I've tried several brands, models and sizes, the best so far are the Oakley O-Frame, but still pinches. HELP
Quality control issues is sadly quite common, I have Poc Resistance Strong gloves, and the stitching was inconsistent, some had great stitching some not, some of them had the same stitching issues, plus glue issues on the straps. palms that wear out fast is also common issue,if they got venting holes they wear out faster. I have not tried any fox gloves yet, because I want protective padding. I you know some one who can new or can do it your self, you can modify(For example putting stronger material at the palms) or repair gloves after they wear and stretch. With my fingers I should not try to sew I think, but my mom fixed my gloves,as I wear them out in few months. Hope our reviews will make a difference.

Had the same issue with Fox attack gloves. Tried to warranty them but they wouldn't because they said it was normal wear and tear. I had them for 2 weeks!
I have had the Fox Digit gloves for over a year now and I had to restitch some new velcro onto the strap because it had worn out, but they worked decently. I am definitely going to get some Handup gloves though, just can't decide which ones to get. :-)
Tanner Hickman I hear ya. I just hate having to restitch and Fox doesn't stand behind the product which pisses me off. I'm about to give the handup gloves a shot.
We use those park tool inflators at the shop I work at. Very, very durable, they get dropped, knocked around and whatnot and still pump out the air! the only thing is that after awhile with so much constant usage we have to regrease/replace some of the seals. But it's good at what it does, filling your tires.

That Double Bass Jazz music from 1:44/2:34 was on point when you spoke about the Sh*t Kit. I probably replayed that segment of the video around 20 times already, if anyone of you Seth happens to know what it is called I'd be much obliged. You seem to use the best use of contemporary, non-tacky, electronic/trendy music from places like NoCopyrightSounds, however none of that is bad but it is so refreshing to hear such sounds in your videos and to hear Jazz in Mountain Bike videos are amazing! Just shows your creativity!! Also the music you used in your tutorial videos called the sensei music was so ON POINT! If you could leave a link in the description on something like a playlist of the songs used in past, present and maybe future videos would be amazing. If you did another Q&A video, I'd definitely ask you this:) Best Regards!
Hey Seth my name is also Seth, I work for a shop out of Minnesota called Michael's Cycles. As far as knee pads, I picked up a set of Fox Head Enduro knee pads and I don't have any trouble with them, and I really like them. I decided to pick up a pair after riding out in Moab Utah and having to go to the ER after messing up my knee. As for gloves I've had a couple pairs of the low cost Fox Head gloves, and they did split apart at the fingers like you. But this season I'm running a pair of the Fox Head Ranger Gel pads and they seem to be holding up better so far. With your shop inflator we have the same ones at the shops I work at, 2/3 of them seem ok, but after using them for a few yrs the seal between the valve stem and the inflator meet goes bad, and the black button falls off. I also wanted to say I really enjoy your videos, keep them coming, I try to recommend your RUclips channel to my customers and friends!!
Goddamn it Seth.... I just simply love and enjoy every piece of content and video you put up buddy...You are KILLING it buddy! Stay safe and ride on man!
I just found your channel today; saw the BeFree water filter. Normally I run a Camelbak and fill at trailheads. Due to C19, the potable water fill points were disabled, so decided to try a backpacking trick. Install a Sawyer filter inline with my Camelbak. No more water fill point issues, and the filter is good for 10k+ gallons. The multi-tool with magnetic retention looks intriguing; I’ll have to look into that.
Hey! I'm Tyler and I work at a shop in Saint George Utah!! Great video! We use the Park Tool inflator! It works pretty well! But with them constantly being dropped. They last about 6 to 8 months. But they are totally worth it! If you ever find your way to Saint George I can show you some sweet trails!!
To Seth or anyone in the comments that have an opinion on this please read and answer: Alright, so, before I start this I want to say I ride on roads 85% of the time, but I just hate road bikes and alternative road/mountain bikes. I like Mountain Bikes, even on the road. I am a good rider, I do not actually mountain bike. So, here is my question, should I go with the 2017 Rocky Mountain Growler 740, a 27.5+ size tire bike or the 2017 Rocky Mountain Fusion 940, a 29er. I know it all comes back to my own preference but I would like to know what others think too just because this is probably the bike I will be riding for years to come and I want as much opinion as possible.
Tangey1 I'm no pro but your choices come down to either a 29er or 27.5. And from personal experience I can throw my 27.5 around a lot better than my 29er. My 29er rolls over a lot and fast with little effort while my 27.5 corners great.
Thanks for your opinion Seth. Also, love the vids, keep it up :) Comparing the Fusion 940, do you think its worth it going up to the Vertex 930 for the price or sticking with the Fusion 940. Its really Deore vs SLX, and what I have found online is that there is not much of a difference but SLX comes out just on top. I don't think its worth the extra $, whats you opinion?
Tangey1 sorry for leaving that out,it's a 27.5 Plus. I also mainly ride trails if your going to be using it on the rode I'd take Seth's suggestion of going with the 29er and maybe getting a low resistance tire. Ever looking into gravel bikes like the cannondale slate?
We use the parktool inflators at my shop, they work great! We have never really had any problems with them other than having to replace the heads from dropping them on concrete.
Good reviews Seth. As a result I bought the CrankBros HV Klick pump. It really is quality and works great. The F15 tool kit is next on my purchase list. Thanks for the heads up on this trick gear.
Yes!! do more of these... been looking at that parks tool inflator....... and that multitool I thought it looked toooo pretty to work, nice to see they are serving well so far.
I’ve been using the inflator in a bike shop. It works great for a few years and then the rubber o-rings that seal the tube valves to the inflator start to wear down and let air through. You can either buy a repair kit and your own o-ring or you can buy a whole new inflator tip.
Seth, magician like on your assessments! Brutal honesty is something most can easily tell and appreciate and come back for! Thanks for being real! Companies better be sure they send you good products lol!
Hey Seth I would come to reeb but can't get a ride unless I pay the $150 uber fee 😬would love it if you came to charlotte tho, by the way, love the vids and recently my friend got into watching your vids he stayed up last 2 nights just binge watching you.. well your videos.... anyway keep it up!
I can say from experience at a shop, the Park Tool inflated head is awesome! Lasted for years of daily abuse. Heck, the lasted longer that the shop, haha.
Love the Osprey raptor backpacks. I have been using Mechanix Mpact gloves for riding....they rock, durable and have rubber padding on fingers that have saved my hands from broken bones when smacking trees. I also have short stubby legs and I use the RaceFace Ambush knee pads. They have velcro so you dont have to slide them on and stay in place. Cheers!
Watched so many of your videos and they are all so great ,helpful and entertaining. Ive also realised you get sent lots of stuff. Anything you don’t want or need I’ll take off your hands. I’m looking at getting into it all and need things to review and try out as a new comer.
I love Park but in our shop we were going through seal kits like crazy on the park inflator and the price is pretty high. A good budget friendly fix is to go buy a decent automotive schrader inflation compressor head with a gauge and then change the pump head, you can get high quality replacement heads for floor pumps from your LBS or the net, spend $40 and you've got a top notch inflator(mostly). Ours has been going for 8 months with no issues, but we went through 3 heads at first, we ended up with the Specialized Air Tool MTB head and it's been rock solid.
great video I'm looking forword to using these hacks this season, its my first year of racing thanks for getting me into the mountain biking world, me and my dad watch your videos all the time and we love making all of your ramps and hacks. Thanks seth
The Sawyer Squeeze and Sawyer Mini are great water filters. You can buy pouches for them or they also fit on "Smart Water" bottles. They're big in the backpacking and thru-hiking world. Tested quality filters at a reasonable price.
Just bought the CB f-15 based on your review (and because my other multi-tool decided to go walkabout). The CB Klic looks awesome too, but I think I'll wait until next season to replace my pump - which sucks, but works. Thanks for the gear reviews!
Hey Seth mate, I'd like to share two tips with you and everyone else. The first is cohisive compression tape (the wider 1.5 inch roll particularly) which is a ride saver in my book. If you had wrapped it around that lump on your shin right away it would have been gone by the next day and it's awesome for all sorts of swelling injuries but particularly for smashed or sprained ankles. You just wrap it up snug put your sock and shoe back on and will stabilise your ankle enough to ride even after a bad sprain. That plus the swelling and pain the next day will be 10 times less and you will be back on your bike in days not weeks. Plus its light enough to carry when you don't need it and cheap as chips. My other tip is 2 part epoxy on your gear cable ends. It never comes off and works way better at preventing fraying than the caps.
for a phone mount i use the belt clip that came with my survivor case. just zip tied it to my handle bars and works great. very little shake. probably one of my favorite diy bike projects
I worked in a shop for a while and although we did have that Parktool inflator, it was rarely ever used as the swiveling head would constantly unscrew despite the use of loctite on the threads.
The thing I like about the Be Free is that you can use it to refill your hydration pack or water bottle with clean water because it can be squeezed. Other options like the Life Straw can't do that, plus you usually have to get your hands dirty to get your face close enough to the water source to use it, or fill your water bottle with dirty water.
They have one of those Park Tool inflators at Revolution Bikepark. I used it and it worked very nicely when I had to seat a tubeless tyre. It appears to have held up very well to tough, outdoor use.
Try Gform knee pads. They're soft and squishy and flexible before they hit a surface and then they instantly harden up and absorb everything. Very comfortable and slim. You can even where them under pants. A bit pricey, but absolutely amazing!
Hey Seth, just wanted to tell you that I had been wearing shin pads but not knee pads for a long time. They did a very good job and didn't make me that much hotter. That lasted until I had a bad crash and got a huge gash on my knee! After this unfortunate crash I immediately went to a local bike shop and bought shin/knee pads all in one. I bought these awesome fox ones that are super bulky! They are even used for dirt biking! But so far they have done a very good job! For all the crazy stuff you do you should definitely get a pair for your self! An believe me a scab on one of the parts of your body that moves the most sucks! It takes forever too heal!!! Definitely get yourself a pair! Sincerely: Bike Hard
I love how Seth is completely honest instead of bullshitting everyone that a product is good

Big fan Seth
Good reviews Seth. As a result I bought the CrankBros HV Klick pump. It really is quality and works great. The F15 tool kit is next on my purchase list. Thanks for the heads up on this trick gear.
you inspire me so much
Joseph yoder “this pack makes me sweat my balls of”
Yes!! do more of these... been looking at that parks tool inflator....... and that multitool I thought it looked toooo pretty to work, nice to see they are serving well so far.
“Eagle scalp, whale foreskin”
"composite"
I’ve been using the inflator in a bike shop. It works great for a few years and then the rubber o-rings that seal the tube valves to the inflator start to wear down and let air through. You can either buy a repair kit and your own o-ring or you can buy a whole new inflator tip.

Seth, magician like on your assessments! Brutal honesty is something most can easily tell and appreciate and come back for! Thanks for being real! Companies better be sure they send you good products lol!
hey seth, can you review 100% gloves please? the word on the street is that they are the best gloves on the market for mtb...
I’ve had them for 3 months. They are amazing and they are worth the money. 100% recommended
Rizzy I see what you did there
Love the review video. Its nice to see someone actually give a critical review of a product rather than just glowing BS. Thanks Seth!
+Billy Vanilla sucks you can't make it! Start walking now though and you'll be there with plenty of time to spare.
Seth's Bike Hacks walking? riding!
Seth's Bike Hacks come to San Antonio and try to bike government canyon, that's a hard trail with good views!
I can say from experience at a shop, the Park Tool inflated head is awesome! Lasted for years of daily abuse. Heck, the lasted longer that the shop, haha.
Love this channel
Love the Osprey raptor backpacks. I have been using Mechanix Mpact gloves for riding....they rock, durable and have rubber padding on fingers that have saved my hands from broken bones when smacking trees. I also have short stubby legs and I use the RaceFace Ambush knee pads. They have velcro so you dont have to slide them on and stay in place. Cheers!
Seth can u do top 10 worst crashes by you
The KING check his Worst Of 2017 video for that
I dont have a bike but i watch you every day like its calming me
more videos like this👌👌👌
Watched so many of your videos and they are all so great ,helpful and entertaining. Ive also realised you get sent lots of stuff.
Anything you don’t want or need I’ll take off your hands. I’m looking at getting into it all and need things to review and try out as a new comer.
That “ point of you” footage made my eyes hurt
2:21 That's only if you take a dump in the woods on a regular basis.
Sorry. I replied to the wrong comment.
Let's all appreciate seths first attempt at clickbait
All Things BIKING I don't see anything wrong
great video I'm looking forword to using these hacks this season, its my first year of racing thanks for getting me into the mountain biking world, me and my dad watch your videos all the time and we love making all of your ramps and hacks. Thanks seth
Whale foreskin hahahahaha!!
IceCreamTrucker Even funnier because I see this comment with 69 likes. Thus, I refuse to give it a like to not tip the scales
tip... foreskin... hahahahahahaha, scales... wait, that last one um...
Eagle scalp whale foreskin composite much more valuable.
but he censors "shit"
yum
The Sawyer Squeeze and Sawyer Mini are great water filters. You can buy pouches for them or they also fit on "Smart Water" bottles. They're big in the backpacking and thru-hiking world. Tested quality filters at a reasonable price.
2:08 you pissed yourself
Mud and water from the trails.
Just bought the CB f-15 based on your review (and because my other multi-tool decided to go walkabout). The CB Klic looks awesome too, but I think I'll wait until next season to replace my pump - which sucks, but works. Thanks for the gear reviews!
@seth Put a paper towel or tissue under your knee were it irritates
+Fishing Nebraska good tip!
Seth's Bike Hacks Handy if u need to take a dump in the woods too ! 👍
esq mtbguy not too clean...
Random shot of u falling off the log is priceless. Glad ur OK. Thanks for putting it in here. Idk what it is that was amusing, but I chuckle.
Thanks for being so honest about the products
Try Gform knee pads. They're soft and squishy and flexible before they hit a surface and then they instantly harden up and absorb everything. Very comfortable and slim. You can even where them under pants. A bit pricey, but absolutely amazing!
Seth I use Oneal jump gloves and the have a lot of grip and I have had them for 4 years and they haven’t changed shaped
Love these videos. Keep them up Seth! Also I would love another 10 cheap mountain bike upgrades videos - they're really helpful!
Amazing Seth! what about a video giving your advice in building a new bike, choosing the frame, the suspension, and the extra components.
Great review! I appreciate your honesty. Looks like your multi tool even has a bottle opener .
