Thanks you sooo much. I have the same issue thought it was alternator and replaced it myself. It was a pain. purely DIY it. Then saw your video and try to remove idle pulley. The whining is gone!!!!
I would recommend getting OEM belts. Pretty sure those grooved belts are not OEM. Thanks for showing the idler pulley removal. Mine has some play and it's on my todo list

Yep I replaced with OEM!
The other things that drive me nuts are the aircon belt which I remove over winter and I hear those cog belts you have can be noisy
It was so annoying I thought idler pulley was going out
