Matt does a nice job. I do think that the requirement for premium fuel (not true with the new smaller HiHy 4 cylinder) might negate the value of the 6-cylinder hybrid of the 450H. Was mildly surprised that this one stickered for $65k...you can get a Highlander well dressed out for much less. The old premium for Lexus versus Toyota was more like $9k. Prices rise to $50,200 for the fully loaded HiHy Platinum model
Lexus and parent company Toyota don't quote torque figures on their hybrid vehicles, because the electric motors produces different amounts of torque at different times. The 247 lb/ft is solely for the V6 engine, not combined with the electric motor.
good review but may i suggest going to back to your old style? 8-10 minute vids with the intro of the car driving with music... these 20+ minute reviews are a bit much
I'm gonna agree on this, I feel bad saying it as Matt is definitely in my top 5 of RUclips car guys but in some of the latest videos I've found myself tuning out and alt-tabbing or checking my phone which is never a good thing. I'm kinda thinking a partner would be a good idea, StraightPipes and Throttle House have really shown how RUclips car videos can be seriously entertaining and a lot of that comes down to the conversations and personalities. It's really hard to make car videos solo, some manage it just fine through a sheer natural talent at presenting, like say Henry Catchpole on Carfection or through being so unique, like Doug but for most, I think a second person to back them up would be beneficial. Keep at it though Matt.
@@BlenderBrit yeah they are a bit generic now, he had an interesting style of reviews, but he made them more appealing to a broader audience and they arent as good as beforw imo. i do also find myself not paying attetion and losing my focus
Wow! Full Lexus SUV flagship and doesn't even have remote start. And every basic FCA vehicle has remote start standard. Lexus is a better brand I know this. C'mon Lexus start putting remote start with your vehicles. None of them have it.
The third row in that RX is a joke Beyond human comprehension A Highlander hybrid platinum or better yet a sienna hybrid platinum is far better than this
Look's like Green is making a come back again. It makes a comeback every so many years.

It’s 2020, Lexus should refresh instrument cluster, similar to the one in Audi.
They should use the one from the Highlander

I would buy the next generation RX but not the current generation, too outdated
Love Lexus but that grill is disgusting
Lexus doesn’t make a single good car
