This is actually a super cool thematically relevant medium to own this album on. Bootleg cassettes are a lot of fun, and with this you can really feel like Shinji! (Though, the real question is, if you would want to)

I bought some out of curiosity, they are made by a real copy centre, but they cannot be legitimate, it is impossible. The funny thing is that if listened to with a decent tape recorder, maybe a real hi-fi deck, they work really well
They definitely do sound good, I plugged my talkboy into a real set of speakers and sounded perfectly fine.

I just ordered the cassette tape from AliExpress for 4,91€, since I wanted it as a prop to my upcoming Ikari Shinji cosplay. I'm not a fan of bootlegs in the slightest, unless it's wacky Pokémon rom hacks where I make an exception, but I decided to get this one for the lols.
Edit: I have also purchased the offical Evangelion Finally CD so that I have a legit version of it.
the paper is not supposed to hang out its supposed to fold in, i cringed when you cut it. you just ruined the sleeve. lol also its not the cassettes problem it got tangled its the player you played it in.
This is good for decoration haha (I think you should have folded the long cover inward).

There are lot of these bootleg tapes on temu aliexpress and other chinese stores from a wide variety of genres but there seems to be cater to anime/ city pop fans mostly
it aint a talk boy if it doesnt eat the tape : P

Bahahahaha I’m so glad you did this! I wondered about these.
I clicked on the video not because I'm familiar with Evangelion or any anime, but because of the TalkBoy, and because I do own a couple AliExpress cassettes in my cassette collection. I can do better self-recordings, as can anyone with an actual cassette deck, but it's the J-card artwork and the design on the shells that make them nicer than my label-maker homemade ones. Could always re-record over them for a better result.
It sounds like these are objected to just because they don't support the original creators, which I can understand, but some people may be into them as an alternate way to get cassette releases that never existed, or are way too expensive secondhand--money which still wouldn't have gone to the musicians or artists.
