Nice. How is the system called? I use one but it has a plate on the pedals and needs to be stabilized through a lot of screws… ergo… bad if you want to go for leasing. Is your system easier to remove?
I know you said the car was all-wheel drive, but for those of us left with rear wheel-drive can you press both the gas and the brake at the same time? I would imagine a 5-speed is out of the question... used to love driving a manual trans.
Can I just order one online and practice myself or do I have to train with therapy to renew my iD with it ? Bc I spend so much money on my training and I fail the test once😢
One disappointing thing is that the featherlites don't appropriately implement the accelerator kickdown function. Pushing the regular footpedal all the way to the floor, there will be stiff resistence towards the end of travel before it "clicks" a bit further into the kickdown zone. The handcontrol lacks this physical feedback making it really difficult to hit regular wide-open-throttle without also telling the car to kickdown.
The kickdown feature is mainly for rapid gear changes when flooring the car. If I was in 7th gear and floored it with the kickdown I can click downshift once and it will go to the appropriate gear rather than me having to drop three or four gears to get to the appropriate gear. Not 100% sure I can’t use the feature but I also literally never used it before my injury in any of my previous M cars. Not even on track. Hope this explanation helps

If you are referring to the hand controls you can get them from SureGrip.
Did you need to contact someone to buy that hand control? Or did you just buy it yourself
I had to get them through a company that is authorized to sell this type of hand controls
@@adaptivem9167 What was the company you went through and how much did you have to pay for them or did insurance cover it?
