VADER - Upper Hixon Forest, La Crosse, WI MTB - Midwest CHUNK FEST!!!

- Well Line I mentioned last video, I finally made it to La Crosse, WI to ride! In this video I'm riding Vader, which is a sick double black trail that, as you can see in the video, is an absolute Midwest chunk fest! The rock gardens were fun, the gap jump is sick, and it’s just a killer trail to mob down! Wish I had the e ergo to ride 4 or 5 more times that day! It’s a short trail, but gets the adrenaline elevated properly!
There are a ton of trails in La Crosse and we only rode stuff in the Upper Hixon portion. Trails we hit that day include Stinky's, Twister, OB1, Nerfherder, Jedi, and Vader. Many of which are built by Rock Solid Trail Construction. At the end of each downhill run you are greeted with a nice gradual switchback climb. You can get a lot of climbing done here. Even trying to avoid climbing a lot, we managed 1300 feet of elevation gain in just 10 miles.
I recommend getting out to La Crosse to ride. I hear there are plans for way more trails there in the future!

Vader was my favorite there for sure!! Such a cool place.
It was my favorite there as well! A lot of the trails were a ton of fun but Vader just made me feel like being back home in the west!

Glad to see your wheels survived, that is a CHUNKY trail. Last time I was at that trail a few years ago there was actually a warning sign about putting at least 30 psi in the tires! That gap jump was sick!
It was an incredibly fun trail to ride! I felt really comfortable on it and felt it wasn't too overwhelming for my 130mm bike. I had a blast and want to go ride it a few more times haha! The gap was cool as hell!

I like when the camera can't keep up at times. It really gives a better feel for the trails! That or I had the strap too loose or I was pinballing around hahaha

I did get some of that 3rd person. Would've hit the trail if I had Travis's bike.

Sick Dude! Crushing that blind! I was there in the fall. The trails were fun! Even some of the XCs. But the leaves on Vader made it a bit sketchy and hard to see the lines. Gotta get back there!
Oh man I bet Vader with leaves is not ideal at all! I really enjoyed the xc trails as well. Stinky's was a tone of fun! I need to get down to ride lower hixon trails as well. I'm excited for what all is planned for the trail systems in La Crosse.
Sick! La Crosse is pretty damn fun. It’s been about 3 years since I was there, I need to get back for sure. Only hit Vader once, mostly was just lapping Jedi
I am itching to get back and ride this trail again, but also laps on Jedi! I need to clear everything, the couple cases I got are haunting me!
