    Good idea to also replace the other sending unit as it contains the fuel filter, which will be extremely dirty at 190k

      The 2006 E350 has the same setup (fuel sending unit has a filter and a fuel pump on the one side. If it had California emissions, you have to buy an entire fuel tank 😂.

    Idk why ppl love driving around with no gas. If you have an emergency, you have to stop at a gas station first.

    JT I don't get it. Why is it that they come to you after they've been to one or two other auto repair shops. If it was me you come to me first you get this price you come to me 2nd or 3rd you get another price. Mopar or no car

      To be fair she asked me do I do struts about a month ago. I don't do suspension work unless I have the car on the lift in the air. Side jobs are done on the ground by me

    I would like to hear from other mechanics, when you go out on side jobs, do you charge more or less then the shop you work at?

    Hey JT question have you ever had an issue where you were troubleshooting and you had an oh crap moment and realized that you just tested something the wrong way and you fried a driver in a ecm or pcm that is my biggest fear when testing something I'm an old school guy at 69 been doing this stuff since I was a teenager but with this newer stuff with the resources we have I will make dam sure I'm doing it correctly And without a wire diagram you will F-up I bought that book that scanner Danner has and that has saved my butt more than once especially where ecm and pcm testing is concerned you just got to be careful

    I hate when ppl use the term parts changer. Ppl have no idea what thier talking about especially if they don’t work on cars

  • @ws2664
    @ws2664 Месяц назад

    Ok you don't want tell what your hourly rate is so answer this, do you charge more or less then the dealer? Mechanics in my area charge a little less then the shop or dealer they work for however there is a RUclipsr, I wont say who, but he charges more then the dealer so in your opinion should mechanics charge slightly more or less then the local shops or dealers?

      Dude the car still has to be diagnosed, in other words, diagnosis should proceed whether you see that or not. You recond that after seeing the gauge on E that if I add gas it would now start? No, it wouldnt. I'm guessing you would have wasting time by simply going to get gas and putting in the car? It still would not start. The 10 years ago JT would have stopped once seeing the hand on E and simply telling the customer she just out of gas and that simply adding gas would fix it. Naw dude, thats setting yaself up for major embarrassment. These are videos dude, design for a certain motive.
