If you could add the ability for BAM to auto recognise when you load an instance of DRC or FRMS to a track and auto map "jammable" parameters like Cutoff, Res, Env Amount, ADSR Decay, Reverb Send, etc to the BAM Rack interface that would be a big win for fans of your products :)
Hey Ed, we're still fine-tuning the available feature set of BAM, but the feedback has been great so far - stay tuned for more news, and thanks for joining us for the journey!
Hi there! They are two very different music applications. I would categorize VST Live more as a DAW and BAM as a full fledge Groovebox. Mainly because of the possibilities for non linear composition and how they are presented. With BAM you have all the instruments and effects you need insinde the program to compose your music. You can use BAM on iOS and then open it on the desktop version as a standalone or on a DAW as a VST or AUM if you would like. I find BAM more immediate, simpler and faster for sketching and composing ideas that you can carefully craft afterwards on itself or open it inside a DAW. You can try the DEMO for free so i would advise to try it out for yourself since they are trully very different programs. Hope this helps!
@@ImaginandoPt I meant proper support, like in bitwig, multi touch, similar how you'd use the app on the tablet... It would be a great way to turn something like a steam deck into a groovebox ;)
Exciting! Maybe worth dropping the 'make beats or make music' line, it's causing some brain meltdowns on the Audiobus Forum, perhaps justifiably - beatmaking is a subgenre of music making after all - but apart from that, BAM looks like a fun and powerful groovebox!
@@ImaginandoPt Not necessarily, just wondering what it brings to the table Drambo doesn't. I do like the UI though. DRC is one of my favorite synths as well. Don't want to just seem like a hater.
Drambo is modular. This is not like drambo in any way. You can build anything in Drambo. If you like building. This app is ready to make music when you create a new project. Its like saying a delay plugin looks like a delay built using Drambo.
@@MultiMam12345First off I was talking about the UI. Second it's a little bit different than calling a delay Drambo. I had no idea this wasn't modular, all I was going by was the little plus signs which I thought was for adding modules. I looked for a more complete demo before I commented, but I'm assuming this video was pre-release because this was the only vid at the time. Even the dev must somewhat agree about the UI because he said "that's not necessarily a bad thing right." It's ok to be inspired by another product. I wasn't rude about it. I own literally all of their other products and add on packs. I believe I've at least earned the right to leave a comment.
Can't wait for this. Would love to see operator functionality on this as well as sample layering. Really cant beat a lil generative juiciness. I always use operators in Bitwig and loath the thought of not using them in production. That said, BAM looks and sounds like many sleepless nights ahead :)
It reminds me having fun with Rebirth… a long time ago
Oh yes! Looking forward to this
Looks different and impressive!💯🔊
Thank you Kurto, the sound is fire!
WE ARE WAITING FOR UPDATES AND SUPER FEATURES! VERY POWERFUL
Not long to go now! This is just the beginning of BAM's journey - lots of updates and features to come!
This is such a fun plugin - just hope it will eventually allow for VST3's to be used in the plugin itself.
Thank you! we are glad you like it! That might be a possibility in the future ;)

Thanks for the suggestion/feedback!
Very cool, looks and sounds fantastico! 😍
heck yeah, sounds awesome! please bring it to iOS ❤
We already are! BAM will be released on both desktop and iOS!
Are you able to load external auv3 plugins into a track?
Yes, for iOS only now.
@@ImaginandoPt nice. That’s good to know. Will you planning to release support for auv3 on Mac OS in the future?
This ^^. Need au and vst support on desktop.
Fabulous!
Thanks!
Looks good . About to get the iOS version hope it stand up to the rest
Thank you! We hope it does too! Plus this is only the beginning for BAM - thanks for joining us on our journey.
Wow!
Thanks!
Nice👍 I wanna hear more acid demo from that
As Fatboy Slim put it "Everyone needs a 303"
un-Fun Fact: That track was released 28 years ago! 😲 #feelsOldMan
This is only the beginning!
I would love if you could allow Bam to be controlled with ableton push 2/3 it would be amazing specially if there is no money for push standalone.
Hi there! Thank you for the suggestion, we have opened a ticket for it so we will check it out when the time comes.
Where are the drum pads for tapping beats out?
Each track has a trigger pad - where the waveforms for each track show near the bottom of the screen.
Is the piano roll meant to be used for melody / harmony too? Guess this video is demonstrating the groovebox features? Thanks
Yes! Definitely.
@@ImaginandoPt amazing, looking forward to seeing how that works! Thanks
Nice one. Can you change presets on a per scene basis? For example, scene 1 has a 909 drum kit pattern and scene 2 has an 808 drum kit pattern?

When is the iOS app available?
I think December
It should be available at the same time BAM is released.
@@ImaginandoPt assuming the iOS app price is the same as desktop?
@@SparklesofGold no, as always. iOS app is 10 time cheaper.
@@ImaginandoPtcan we pre order for iOS ?
Interesting! Let’s stay in touch.
Looks cool! Will it be AUv3?
Yes! 😎
@@ImaginandoPt Thank you! I mean also, will it be possible to load BAM as AUv3?
I have Steinberg VST live. What more does BAM has to offer?

Can the user input their own wav files, if so how long does it play the sample sound for?
You can load samples to a pool of samples. The sampler will play the file for the duration of the note.
Looks interesting! Can you do any programming off grid/not quantized?
Yes. You can do it via COMPOSER (piano roll) or using time offset property for each step.
@@ImaginandoPtdoes it support time signatures or just 4/4? Triplets? Thanks
Yes it supports different time signatures and you can even have different signatures for each track and clip!
how to adjust the velocity and panning of each step ?
You can automate parameters on a step basis in the automation panel. Have you seen that? Regards
@@ImaginandoPt I have just skimmed the video :) TL;DW full
Insta buy when it hits iOS 🎉
will it sync to Ableton Link?
Yes indeed - simply choose "Link" as the clock source :)
How good does it run in Ableton?
It runs perfectly fine in Ableton, no problem :)
Does it have nudge?
Not yet. We have spoken about it yesterday.
Will it support touch on windows?
Yes! It should be supported by default.

Not gonna lie I'm a big fan of you guys but this looks a lot like Drambo.
Which is not necessarily a bad thing, right? ;)
