    I feel like allowing kids to pour their own glass of water whenever they want makes them feel so independant. I know kids who get so incredibly frustrated waiting for their parents to get them a drink. Such unnecessary stress.

    Love this! Please share how you framed out the floor bed. I want to frame my son's out to add beauty to the space, but not sure how to start.

    • @bellascasa1948
      @bellascasa1948 7 лет назад +1

      It's just a trundle bed that I bought! Yes it adds beauty, but I found it not so safe for baby who is starting to crawl. The purpose of the floor bed is for a baby to get in and out as soon as she is able. While moving around it, she can bump in to the hard wooden frame.

    Most two-year-olds I know would have all things pulled all over the floor . How do you stop this happening ?

    • @bellascasa1948
      @bellascasa1948 4 года назад +7

      very simple....start with a few activities at a time and show your two-year-old how to put them back. Consistency is a key!

    • @solatiumz
      @solatiumz 5 лет назад +2

      My brother [who is 30] used to cry and have a tantrum at 18 months when he needed to void his bowels and he was wearing a nappy, as soon as you took it off and put him on the potty he would quieten down. It is worth noting that he spent a few hours every day without a nappy whilst at home [from birth]. He was used to weeing in a potty, and the garden....XD

    I run a home daycare and find the toy situation a nightmare! If I put things nicely out on shelves , the kids just come and dump everything on to the floor! They don’t seem to play with anything, even in a different way to which the toy is intended. They just dump it all out and move onto the next thing to dump out 🤔

    • @heavenh5837
      @heavenh5837 5 лет назад +3

      Dumping it out is really normal, especially in the toddler and preschool years! Try minimizing how much is in the basket or tray so what they dump doesn't become a big mess. Also, only have out what everyone can handle to clean up. Hope that helps :-)

    • @Lily_and_River

      From what I've understood you'll need to babyproof the entire room for them, in order to do this. Also a babygate in the doorway can help so you can leave your baby in the safe room with the door open but the gate closed. This might help when the baby/child doesn't want the door to be closed (and you don't want to lock your child up). The advantage of this method I find is that babies can wake up and roll/crawl out their bed themselves and start to quietly play instead of needing to cry/scream for their parents. Also during the day you have a safe space for them to play when you need to get things done and they are still able to crawl around the room (in contrast to a smaller playpen).

    • @bellascasa1948
      @bellascasa1948 2 года назад

      Just simply create the whole room safe!

  • @Осознаннаямама
    @Осознаннаямама 6 лет назад +1

    Thank you for the video, I wanted to ask you about the mattress, I like this idea, but there are 2 questions: is it safe (to sleep on the floor on the mattress in winter, because it is much colder air down, some people scary me that a baby can catch a cold). Another question is when baby start rolling, again can he/she fall down and hurt himself/herself?

    • @risa9179
      @risa9179 6 лет назад +5

      There are bed frames that lift the mattress off the floor to protect the floor but still keeping the bed at a safer level for a child. Also, these floor beds have sides so the child will not fall out of bed. If your home is properly heated and cooled your child will be comfortable. It is a myth that people get sick from temperatures (unless extreme temperatures which cause hypothermia etc). People get sick from germs.

    My son would throw snacks everywhere and pour drink on the carpet. I've been working so hard to get him to put toys back where they belong on the shelf but he always ends up throwing them across the room and I have to take them away. Is it that only some kids are successful in this?? Its very frustraigting

      tokkibunni we are just starting and taking it one step at a time. We introduced a weaning glass during dinner (we follow babyled weaning otherwise). We also created some little shelves for our son in our living room (we emptied out two shelves in our bookcases). Just try a couple of things out!

      Ever wonder what the world’s most successful person looked like when they first started? Like beginners.No one - and I mean no one - has it all figured out at the starting gate. Running the race is how you learn and grow. That’s why you must start before you’re ready.Starting before you’re ready means developing a bias towards action.Let me now how I can help at jaejun@bellascasa.com

    I am a parent of a 6 year old who is now attending elementary school and has been for the last 3 years. She was born a 34 weeks and has some developmental delay, but not so mush that can prevent her from learning. My trouble is, now that she is in the 1st grade, she doesn't engage in her classwork. I honestly believe she becomes bored with the method of learning in her classroom. I honestly believe after reading about Montessori methods, she will be more engaged due to her love of doing things through touch. Should I set up this learning method at home, to assist her with her learning at school, or just home-school her through Montessori? Thoughts?????

    • @solatiumz
      @solatiumz 5 лет назад +2

      At such a young age, I would keep her at school in the hope that even though she appears to not be interacting with her peers that she is watching how it is all done. I would use your own methods at home to try and get her up to speed and then in front of her classmates.

      Homeschooling is a great way to encourage hands on learning. Look into homeschoolers out there on Instagram and I’m sure you will find inspiration and courage to start your own homeschooling journey! Join homeschooling Facebook groups and you will feel so empowered! You’ll find that many parents with special needs kids actually do homeschool and their kids turn out to do better than traditionally schooled kids! Good luck momma!
