Nice that they fixed General Calrissian for the Complete Saga. In the Original Trilogy he had no cape in the Falcon scenes and then was the Empire Strikes Back version in the celebration scene. Weird.
The birth of Luke and Leia was definitely the biggest from the first game for me, difference between Obi Wan comforting versus letting the droids do the work. I don't remember how that went in the movie, but either way I'm not sure what I prefer honestly.
I also didn't realize how the first game had bubble effects for the crying Luke and Leia. Honestly pretty funny but I see why they were removed for Complete Saga
it would be more accurate to the movie for Obi-wan to comfort Padme. in the movie Obi-Wan is standing right next to Padme as she is delivering the babies, he even takes Luke into his arms and holds him up to her. so i am not sure why they changed it. It might be because they were afraid that kids who hadn't seen the movie would falsely assume Obi-wan to be the father somehow.
It's interesting seeing this knowing the new sets that came out after LSW 1 and 2, and how some figures and sets changed for the game. Maul was changed from his 1999 figure to his 2007 figure, the MTT went from the original model from 2001 also to the 2007 MTT.

They were removed in TCS. -there was a slide transition from the ship to watto's shop that was removed in TCS -the money sign that watto holds up is tan in LSW1, while the same sign was changed to gold in TCS -the interior design of watto's shop was slightly changed in TCS -the mod espa podrace poster in TCS was mirrored from its LSW1 version and also a "C500" text was added in the bottom right of the poster to make it more clear that the point of the race was to get the reward money. -The camera angle in the first scene of the pod race is completely different between versions. In LSW1, the camera is facing the starting line from the front. Said scene also added the large brown tank thingies in a shot they were not previously in TCS -The droid driving the tank ordering the others was a droid commander in LSW1. In TSC however the droid was changed to he a simple droid soldier for some unknown reason -some of the gungan soldiers were missing their spears and shields in LSW1. This error was rectified in TCS -In LSW1, Padme wielded a more realistic looking gun. In TCS, she wields the same giant gun with a red light on the front that many other characters use -in the scene where the gang is attacked by three droideka's, anakin is missing his drivers hat in LSW1 Darth maul: -For some reason, the intro has padme in the wrong outfit. This mistake was rectified in TCS -Padme was made more expressive in the ending scene -the trophy that padme hands boss nass is bright white in LSW1, while it is blue in TCS I will eventually get to the other episodes in the replies to this comment. Did i miss anything? Let me know if i did!
In the internet archive pirated versions of LSW1 apparently they added cutscene after the pilots die (the goofy long arms cutscene) in episode 1 was added it, maybe it was deleted but added back in TCS

I always forget that Commander Cody gets straight up bodied by Grievous in Lego Star Wars, which is probably the strangest inconsistency in the game, but its bound to happen since Lego Star Wars 1 was released before RotS (I think)
You can see a difference with the lighting with how they improved it and some changes with the objects
7:50 She actually smiles for me on the PS2.
0:39 Also that scene is also for me on the PS2.
every copy of lego star wars tvg is personalized
@@lol-un6nlThe Anakin Apparation
Replying late to this, but mine is the UK/Europe version.
Maybe the USA version is different? Just a guess though, could be wrong.
👍

What did The Complete Saga have against gloves? Several characters from the original two games that wore gloves don't have them in TCS.
Well there are other minor changes like that, perhaps they were changes to make them look more like the actual Minifigures but not sure.
Mainly just to make the figures look more accurate. I don’t recall any rebel minifigures irl having black gloves instead of tan hands. Or any snow troopers with black gloves instead of white.
15:33 **"DOUBLE LAUGHS IN SITH LORD"**
I honestly have always preferred the look of the first two games compared to TCS’s artstyle. TCS is a masterpiece but visually it has too much glare for its own good.
I think the glare was perfect in TCS. They are legos after all. It’s the new games that have too much of it
@@FinalConsensus I agree. Them being shinier makes them look more like lego.
Absolutely not, i think youre crazy
I love how Padme's gun is always changing between pistol and loud speaker through different cutscenes in both versions of the game
41:09 easily my favorite cutscene in the game
The Complete Saga had audio removed in certain scenes or the audio was lagging behind.
The most notable example is Jar Jar Binks sniffing the flowers and sneezing before Qui Gon him. 1:16
All these years and I never realized there were any differences
I think there's some differences between whatever console you played on for the original games. I know the scene at 28:00 was in the original on the GameCube, and Padme also smiled at Anakin in episode one.
The difference between the child birth scene in the original and the complete saga they switched places and C-3PO is missing in the complete saga scene
I thought the original was more accurate to the movies
@@trainsandmore2319 honestly combining both would probably be the most accurate as Obi Wan is in both positions at different times if I’m remembering the movie right
Also when Luke and Leia are crying, you can see bubble effects that were removed in TCS
The original stars wars video game will always be one of the first games i ever played ever as a kid on my ps2. It was such an amazing experience and the nostalgia is unmatched.
7:54 LMFAO LOOK AT HER SHES SO PISSED OFF
Still have no idea why they didn't include a unique blaster for Padmé, she had enough character variations and used it in cutscenes plenty.
She did in the original game! Just another aspect that in my opinion makes Complete Saga a poor port
There’s also some gameplay changes like padmé’s pistol being replaced with a regular blaster in TCS
Which is a LEGO loudspeaker, turned around, with a red stud stuck on the end.
@@azh698 or blue for the clones lol
Nice that they fixed General Calrissian for the Complete Saga. In the Original Trilogy he had no cape in the Falcon scenes and then was the Empire Strikes Back version in the celebration scene. Weird.
I guess the original might have looked better at the correct aspect ratio instead of forcing it to 16:9
I guess it would look better on a 4:3 CRT TV like the one I had back in 2005
I just now realized that Episode II completely skipped Tatooine.
16:08 I also noticed Obi Wan Kenobi in episode 3, his leg connector is cream colored but in TCS it’s red
29:35 Luke's face is different between the two games.
Meu Deus 😮
Ficou mal feito na versão tcs
It’s been so long since I’ve played the originals and having never seen them side by side I never knew how different they truly were!
Star Wars the complete saga was part of my childhood everytime I came back from school to play
@@gonkdroid8279It kinda looks like it's being sprayed out... 💀
I realized C-3PO was there in Obi-Wan's place and Obi-Wan took over one of the robot guys idk
it would be more accurate to the movie for Obi-wan to comfort Padme. in the movie Obi-Wan is standing right next to Padme as she is delivering the babies, he even takes Luke into his arms and holds him up to her. so i am not sure why they changed it.
The MTT is the same tho
@@user-fu7zf4ck9z Just noticed that now. I thought it looked a little different.
they didnt release a new maul minifig until 2010 which is after TCS release in 2007
2024 update: I am aware that some cutscenes in the complete saga did also appear in the original versions of the game. So please stop making those comments because im well aware of it by now. And I will fix those errors in my remake of this video. Thanks for reading.
So cool they made a movie based off these games
I remember not being allowed to play Lego Starwars 2 because it was rated E10. Allowed to play the first one since it was rated 3 and up lmao.
and I thought my parents were strict lol
Lol I used to play M-rated games back when I was 7
Meanwhile I got GTA San Andreas for my 7th birthday 😂
Probably because of Leia’s cleavage
@@goromarimba I was playing shooters at like 3 dude
Great comparison! There deserved to be one of this which nobody had done before!
Can you show a comparison of the levels some things changed in the levels to there’s more locks on Kammino that originally Didn’t Require a Bounty Hunter and a storm trooper and originally Jango Fett couldn’t throw Bombs like he can in complete saga
I'll look into it.
I knew The Complete Saga was a remake but I never realised how similar it was to the original.
Its a shame The Complete Saga didn't have Hoverchair Yoda and it was cut.
I gotta give the man who edited this major props. I just KNOW this took a while to put together
Fun fact: the droids that block Obi-Wan in episode 2 aren't in the movie; they're from a Star Wars GBA game.
24:01
Original: There are two sun's (Red and White), but not antennas
Remaster: No two sun's, but there are antennas
Man the red sun looks so awful
List if changes i could find:
Episode 1
Negotiations
-the design of the ship in the levels intro looked slightly different in LST1
-the flames coming out of the ships back engines were also different. TCS has more prominent looking flames
-Naboo was given visible atmosphere around the planet in TCS
-obi wan's front torso was redesigned ever so slightly in TCS, having what appears to be a part of his cape go over his shirt
-The pilots hands were colored brown in LSTW, resembling gloves. This was removed in TCS for unknown reasons.
-the pilots also made a "hm? WAAAAA-" sound while falling before breaking into pieces on the ground. This was removed in TCS for unknown reasons
-TCS added an extra scene in the intro where obi wan and qui gon jinn wield their lightsabers and looking rather alerted.
Invasion of naboo:
-the ship seen in the levels ending scene was given more detail in TCS
Mos Espa Podrace:
-There were a set of three building in the intros background in LSW1. They were removed in TCS.
-there was a slide transition from the ship to watto's shop that was removed in TCS
-the money sign that watto holds up is tan in LSW1, while the same sign was changed to gold in TCS
-the interior design of watto's shop was slightly changed in TCS
-the mod espa podrace poster in TCS was mirrored from its LSW1 version and also a "C500" text was added in the bottom right of the poster to make it more clear that the point of the race was to get the reward money.
-The camera angle in the first scene of the pod race is completely different between versions. In LSW1, the camera is facing the starting line from the front. While TCS has the camera facing the starting line from higher up and behind it.
-Anakins racing goggles was slightly redesigned in TCS
-the ledge that the tusken raiders shoot from is slightly different looking between versions
Retake theed palace:
-the opening shot of the ship flying towards naboo is shot from a slightly different angle in TCS
-the camera in the shot of the droids driving their vehicles towards jar jars army is shot at a lower angle in TCS. Said scene also added the large brown tank thingies in a shot they were not previously in TCS
-The droid driving the tank ordering the others was a droid commander in LSW1. In TSC however the droid was changed to he a simple droid soldier for some unknown reason
-some of the gungan soldiers were missing their spears and shields in LSW1. This error was rectified in TCS
-In LSW1, Padme wielded a more realistic looking gun. In TCS, she wields the same giant gun with a red light on the front that many other characters use
-in the scene where the gang is attacked by three droideka's, anakin is missing his drivers hat in LSW1
Darth maul:
-For some reason, the intro has padme in the wrong outfit. This mistake was rectified in TCS
-Padme was made more expressive in the ending scene
-the trophy that padme hands boss nass is bright white in LSW1, while it is blue in TCS
I will eventually get to the other episodes in the replies to this comment. Did i miss anything? Let me know if i did!
20:25 I love the original where R2D2 and C3PO got to see Luke and Leia's birth
I hadn't realized how much of an improvement The Complete Sage (usually) was.
Also, one thing of note is the Lego Star Wars: The Video Game footage is actually somewhat stretched from 4:3 to 16:9.
2:55 what happened to the beautiful lighting in tcs????
4:08 Damn tcs added some serious polygons to these glasses
I always just thought they made everything look glossier haha
I was never aware that tcs was 2 games remakes in 1
It'd be kind of funny if in the original, han shot first, and they changed it so greedo shot first in the complete saga
This does explain why Padme has a different gun in the cutscenes and actual game
In the internet archive pirated versions of LSW1 apparently they added cutscene after the pilots die
(the goofy long arms cutscene) in episode 1 was added it, maybe it was deleted but added back in TCS
I knew that from a fact video
