You never mentioned how in Lego Star Wars the Video game it has a character named ‘Darth Sidious’, but in Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga that Character is called ‘The Emperor’.
Another thing about Jango Fett, in the original game, he actually doesn't even jump. His "jump" IS his jetpack. He never had a jumping animation, just a jetpack animation. But what's cool about the original game is that Jango Fett can hover for an infinite amount of time. Where in TCS Jango and Boba can only hover for a few seconds until they drop down to the ground.
@@devinthompson7143 Yes if you're stationary, I'm talking about hovering and MOVING around. In the original you can hover around infinitely, in TCS it lasts for a few seconds.
But on the other hand, Jango cannot fly over gaps like Astromech Droids including R2-D2, which always annoyed me in LSW1. Thankfully, they fixed that in both LSW2 and TCS with Jango and Boba Fett.
@@rainbowrunner1550 I don't remember that, but it was probably because the developers didn't want players going out of bounds, so they programmed Jango to just dropped to his death when hovering over long gap platforms.
Also, Darth Vader's lightsaber animations are different in the the original game than they are in TCS. In the original, his animations are identical to Anakin's lightsaber animations, but then they changed it in Lego Star Wars II.
I prefer the originals. There is more charm to the sound design, graphics, and characters in the originals that got slightly lost when translated over to The Complete Saga.
honestly, as someone who grew up with both of the original games (II moreso than the first), i never even realized how different TCS was. makes me want to go back and 100% the separate titles on PS2 after i do TCS lol
the way you phrase things make it sound like the complete saga was the original also you probably should've turned music off in the settings when recording the footage, it would've given you significantly less copyright issues.
Other Differences: - In Lego Star Wars 1, the music used for the Episode III levels was from the Original Trilogy, due to the Episode III soundtrack not being available during development. The Episode III music was added in The Complete Saga, but the Story cutscenes retain the Original Trilogy music. - In Battle Over Coruscant in LSW1, Player 1 plays as the red Jedi Starfighter (Obi-Wan's), whilst Player 1 instead used the yellow Jedi Starfighter (Anakin's) in TCS. - In the final cutscene of the Darth Vader level in LSW1, Anakin has a red lightsaber. This was changed to blue in TCS. - In the opening cutscene of Rescue the Princess, the turbolaser cannon looks different in the shot when the Millennium Falcon is pulled into Bay 327. - In the ending cutscene of Death Star Escape, Luke's reaction to Obi-Wan's death is different. In LSW2, his face indicates he is screaming, while he has a normal expression in TCS. - In Escape From Echo Base, there's the room where you have to slide down the slope and activate buttons on the floor to open the door to the next room. When all the buttons are pressed in TCS, a clip of the door opening is shown, which was not in LSW2. - In the opening cutscene of Betrayal Over Bespin, Han is wearing his Hoth outfit in LSW2 when he is frozen in carbonite. This was corrected in TCS, as he now wears his Skiff outfit. - In LSW2, Boushh Leia wears her helmet by default when outside of the Jabba's Palace Story mode. This is no longer the case in TCS. - Wicket and the other Ewoks can grapple like blaster characters in LSW2, something which is no longer true in TCS. - Super Story completion awards the player a Gold Brick in LSW2. This is not the case in TCS, but it still counts towards completion percentage. Also, the text indicating completion of Super Story is slightly different between LSW2 and TCS. Using Return of the Jedi as an example, in LSW2, it says: "Episode VI: Return of the Jedi - Super Story Complete." In TCS, it instead says: "Return of the Jedi - Super Story Complete.
Also, in the original game, Princess Leia's animations are identical to Padme's. Even her death sound is the same one used for Padme's death sound. Also Rebel Trooper's animations were identical to Captain Panaka/Royal Guard in the original game.
Fun fact: the DS version of TCS uses the same engine as LSW2, so models and abilities are retained from it, like Wicket and Ewok using grapples and Beach Troopers wearing only speedos.
Yoda chair, dex diner, and some of the original sound effects should’ve been in the complete saga :( (also you should add a counter for all the differences!)
In Lego Star Wars the Video Game, the music in every level in Episode 3 are pretty much differeny as they use the Original Trilogy Soundtracks, this was because the game itself was released before or while the Episode 3 movie was out and the Sountrack wasn't scored in yet. This would later change in The Complete Saga as the Levels would now have their respective soundtracks from Episode 3 (except for the cutscenes)
14:23 That's a glitch in your game. You can visit the LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game playthrough made by Quick Brick Games and you will see that Padmé's blaster is not invisible.
Heres some other ones ive noticed too (though i might be misremembering so please correct me if im wrong): 1) In the original Lego Star Wars, players would not be given shields as when playing as droideka in free play. In TCS, this has been changed (for the better of course) 2) There is a stormtrooper panel in the Darth Maul fight in TCS. This doesn't make sense canonically at all as this was before even clone troopers were a thing 3) Zam Wessel wasn't a playable character in the original. On the other hand, there are some missing/not unlockabke characters from the original such as K-3PO, R4-D2, WA-7, Jabbas palace guard, the Scout Trooper...and i think there was a silver variant of the battle droid from the level Retake Theed Palace. Some characters are also unlocked in a different order, such as the beach trooper, 4-LOM and the imperial officer (might be wrong about that though) 4) In the count dooku boss level, Anakin gets a green lightsaber exclusively for that fight in TCS. I dont think this was in the original (though i might be wrong) 5) the music for the level 'Ruin of the jedi' is completely different. In the original game, it played Leia's theme mixed with some ambient noise. In TCS, it uses the track from the movie. The same applies with the level 'Darth Vader' and 'Battle Over Corauscant'. As most people have pointed out, this is due to the game being released before the film came out 6) Wicket is named differently in TCS. In the original game he was called Wicket W. Warrick 7) Luke (tatooine) has a dodge roll counter in TCS, he didnt have that in LSW2 8) in LSW2, in the level 'secret plans', C3PO had to walk through the red electric barrier to activate a pannel on the other side. The level has been changed in TCS so that droids can no longer walk through red electric barriers 9) i dont know if this was in the original games or not, but certain characters will react to you differently in free play depending on whag character you're playing as. Battle droids will not attack other battle droids unless provoked. Rebel soldiers will salute if captain Antilles is close by 10) Ben Kenobi has different animations 11) Anakin Skywalker (Jedi) has a higher jump than in TVG 12) in the Level "Jedi Battle", the original game had you fight 3 minibosses (the creatures from the film). This isnt in TCS 13) the colour scheme was changed in the fight with the emperor. The room with all the floor switches was originally completely red 14) a lot of geomerty in the later half of the game has been changed to take advantage of high jump characters 15) the Kaminoans now have a dance animation if you hold down the O button. Im not sure if this was in the original 16) For some reason, Nein Numb isn't landos copilot in the final level in TCS
U forgot that Qui-gon jinn doesn’t kill the enemy behind him he only just turns around instead of knowing they’re there like obi-wan kenobi because obi-wan kenobi knows they’re behind him he just stabs his light saber behind them lol
also you missed something in the first video featured: in the droid factory level, the big moving buckets make a motor noise when moving in the original game, but they don't in the complete saga
my first game in my life what i got is the Lego Star Wars: The Original Trilogy was, i played it so much, and yes, there are things when i get older and play the complete saga i miss without knowing what i missing if u understand. I hope there is a modpack what is make the best part of the original 2 game differences in the complete saga
Although the Complete Saga is better overall, certain things like 7:00 being removed are kinda sad and other things being changed are sad too (such as 8:35)

the encouraging music 💀

The geonosians in both the complete saga and the original actually play like jango fett from the original one
The original trilogy has such nicer lighting and atmosphere than complete saga
Nah
True
You forgot the original death sounds for some characters in the original game like Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Anakin.
Not only challenge mode and invincibility power up were not in the first ever two games, the complete saga is the only LEGO game that has it.

Everything explained is definitely the ultimate breakdown of how it started vs how it’s going for a LEGO game that’s over 15 years old!
honestly, as someone who grew up with both of the original games (II moreso than the first), i never even realized how different TCS was. makes me want to go back and 100% the separate titles on PS2 after i do TCS lol
Looking back on the original games shows how good the graphics on Complete Saga were, especially in 2007 on the PS3.
the way you phrase things make it sound like the complete saga was the original
