as someone who is TERRIFIED of rollercoasters and gets motion sickness on them this ride is actually so incredible. I was so scared I backed out of it TWO TIMES in a row but then I forced myself to strap in the third time. I felt like I was going to be so sick as the vehicle moved into the first launch room but as soon as the thing launched off it was so fun!! the first spaghetti bowl part is pretty twisty, I felt a little sick on it the first time but it could’ve been my nerves as well. once you hit that second launch it is AMAZING the top hat is the best part! and the rest of the ride is super smooth. Like someone else said, the inversions happen so fast you barely realize they’re happening. For anyone with motion sickness like me don’t keep your eyes shut. it really really helps to watch the track so you can mentally prepare for the next element of the ride. it’s worth it!! I didn’t feel sick at all when I got off. I rode it again after the first time in front row and it was MENTAL. this ride is so crazy. if you’re like I was, scrolling through these comments trying to find comfort don’t worry! it really is as great as everyone says. you’ll be so proud when you get off too :) and the ride restraints are super comfy and feel really really safe. you can secure it so far down you don’t feel like you’re going to fall :) please don’t back out!! I really contemplated it but I am SO SO glad I went! Like I said I loved it so much I went on it again FRONT ROW

Rode this twice 2 weeks back. Absolutely breathtaking. Having sat on many other coasters, including the scariest ones at 6 flags, have to say this is hands down the best ever (for reasons others have explained it way better than I ever could) For people who are scared and contemplating, remember few things:
    1) It's gonna get over in a minute
    2) The seat and the safety lock/ harness feel reaaaalllly secure
    3) Universal Studios cares wayyyy too much about you being safe and not getting injured because billions of dollars are at stake. So your safety is their top priority (For the sake of their own good)
    4) Just go sit, scream and enjoy for it will leave you with an absolute adrenaline rush after the ride. Like I said, worst case, it's just a minute of your life that you probably didn't enjoy. Don't overthink and let this opportunity go!! You will hardly realize what's going on in that minute!

I felt so bad because my 12 year old son wanted to get on it so bad but I was to scared to try it. We are here for a week and I really want to get the courage up to ride it if not for me but my kid. So reading this gave me some sense of logic. I just have to tell myself it’s only a minute. Tomorrow we will be going back to IOA to finish riding everything we wasn’t able to today. However, if it is just a fear that you think that you can work on, then this is your chance. It is easy to read comments, get stressed out, be ridden in anxiety and mentally go through those drops and launches over and over again. The reality is much different. You absolutely won't get any time to think about it on the ride. Just hang tight, rest your head back and scream with everyone. Just enjoy the wind on your face and it will be over before you know it! Excited to hear your experience. You got this!!

So, where did we end up totally by chance for our very first ride? Yep. Back row. Scariest coaster I’ve ever ridden, and I’ve ridden a lot. Hulk should move to Disney now, because it’s a Mickey-Mouse ride by comparison.
A couple hours later we came back for the second ride. This time we CHOSE front row. I dunno, but I’d say front, although smoother, is a bit more intense. Maybe it’s a toss up. Regardless, this old geezer plans to ride this thing many more times

For anyone terrified of this ride like I was, I promise you it is extremely fun and worth it ! The worst part is waiting in line and freaking yourself out about it. Once the ride starts all your fears go away. It is fast but that’s part of the fun! The inversions are so smooth and fast you almost don’t even realize they’re happening. I went on the hulk first because I thought it would be less scary than this but I actually found the hulk to be the least enjoyable. It’s just loop after loop and the ride is not very smooth. I felt sick and disoriented for hours. But velocicoaster is just such a smooth and fun experience that you will want to go on it again and again. TRUST ME! I am a person who is pretty scared of rollercoasters but I will go on this one 50 times a day. JUST DO IT (:

Most of the park surrounding it is spent waiting in lines, buying an empanada, and listening to the wailing poor souls who didn't know how brutal velocicoaster was. The halfway point where it doubles speed is absolutely fucking incredible and will turn you into a man. Cannot wait to go back 🦖

Velocicoaster was my first real rollercoaster at 25 years old. My heart rate was 165 from just *standing in the line* for about 25 minutes shortly after opening time. I was shaking from the Velociraptor statue all the way to the loading dock. That first burst of movement as it goes from the loading area to the launch tunnel is what got me more than anything else. Felt like I was going to pass out. I didn’t, and it really is an awesome ride. Afterwards I walked around Islands for about 45 minutes getting my stomach to settle before getting breakfast/lunch at Thunder Falls Terrace. It was my “Jurassic” day. Definitely the highlight of my trip. Don’t miss it for anything.

I hate hate hate the stomach feeling of feeling pressure pushing on you, but I love the feeling of drops. I love drop rides but I always get so scared when I feel like I’m being crushed on a coaster. Im also so scared of feeling sick and throwing up after a ride. I’m at universal right now, I was supposed to get on velocicoaster with my friends today but chickened out because I was so nervous I felt like I couldn’t breathe. I rode hagrids last night though and loved it (only after the ride though, I was terrified during it but I would ride it again). I keep coming back to this video and reading the comments and MOST people talk about how much they love it, but is this something I should probably sit out? based on your experience of course

I'm a veteran of many rollercoasters... It starts out awesome. Goes through that stage of running about near the ground and just when I thought that was the end... it gets a second launch into a zero g hill, holds you upside down, does some incredibly fast turns over the water and then does a zero g roll over the water! I can't wait for the day I get to experience this personally....

I was just at universal-my first time at a theme park ever- and I rode this as my first rollercoaster because it looked less daunting than hullk and rockit with knowing nothing about the rides, only looking at them. (I honesty dont know WHY it looked smaller, its longer than both of those and taller than hulk) It was absolutely INSANE in the best way possible. You literally don't touch the seat for most of the ride, that big drop is incredible, and during those twists over the water it feels like you're about to be thrown INTO the water. Needless to say I'm absolutely a rollercoaster person now. Already want to go back and I just left.

I went on this rollercoaster twice, yesterday. It literally feels like you're floating the whole time. If you need a reason to visit Universal Orlando, THIS IS IT. Absolutely a 10/10 coaster.
Rode this for the first time during late summer of last year. I decided to wear a flowy tank top that day and hopped on the Velocicoaster not really knowing what to expect...Not even kidding, about 10 seconds into the ride my shirt was trying to yeet itself off my body and continued to do so for the remainder of the ride. Not only that, but I spent the rest of the ride hanging on to it for dear life....Didn't stop me from going another few times though, LOL. Definitely make sure to check this one out if you're ever in the area!

If you want to get on this one without a huge line up, wake up at 6 am with early admission pass and get into the park ASAP. Rush over to the lineup and if you make it in time, out of 2-5 hrs you can get in a line up to as little as 10 minutes! Amazing ride too. They strap you in quite tight but totally worth the upside down moments, crazy drops and fearful spins.

I work here at Islands at velocicoaster and Hagrids, also Universal for revenge of the mummy, I cannot express to everyone in the comments hoe many times I've rode this ride, the theming of this attraction is so beautiful and unmatched, you're talking about 2 launches, 1 going 40mph and the other 70, 2 double spinned half infinity rolls. Ejector airtime literally on every turn 90% of the time, a lovely top hat sending you flying over and having a lovely view of the park. Going right back down into a vertical G Stall for 3 seconds leaving you hanging upside down for dear life, to an over hang jerk spinned crossover that sends you flying side to side, and to finish it off, the Most intense heartland roll you can experience anywhere in Florida let alone the USA this heartline roll literallywants to take you off of the ride so id say hold on for your life. The mosasaurus roll, which it the last and best inversion of the ride. Anybody that wants to check this ride out, this ride will not disappoint and is worth every penny for admission if you ever enter Islands, have this ride on your top priority list. Ride it in the front and back, especially at night. You would only want more out of the Velocicoaster
