    I made a typo in my graphic at 3:01 which also made me say it wrong. It was meant to say "Charge time reduced by 1 second for every 10 (Not 100) score earned". The rest of the parts and math were all done properly so 1 kill in TDM will be reducing the charge time by 12.5s as stated.

    This is why transparency is key when it comes to game development. This entire time I thought the fast recharges were all the same, medium, slow. I had no idea that some fast recharging field upgrades were slower than others.

      Bruh, this is a similar pattern as with the attachments. We still don’t have actual numbers to tell us how much an attachment helps or hinders certain traits. All we have are these tiny green and red bars. So frustrating….

    Field upgrades are designed very well in this game but animations need to be sped up for all of them especially dead silence, battle rage and portable radar

      Also the fact that there's literally an alarm/ringing sound that notifies everybody that you're using dead silence, which kind of defeats the purpose. Half the time I use it, it just ends up being a waste either because of the sound giving away my location or the animation taking forever when just milliseconds can be the difference between winning and losing a gunfight in this game.

      Yeah the whole concept and execution of it feels weirdly like something from a tactical shooter.
      I do like them though, just wish they would make them faster all around.

      In Portable Radar's case you're gaining the ability to pre-aim and fire for a bit.
      That should stay slow so it takes time to set up leaving you vulnerable in use.
      Otherwise it is basically an emergency detect nearby enemies button.

      Personally I just can't stand any field upgrade or streak that requires me to stop playing normally and using my gun. I always choose things that I don't have to control.

      The tactical cameras are REALLY slept on. Using them to scout the B flag and mark enemies before pushing makes it so easy in domination 🤣

      Dead silence is pretty much unlimited as long you keep getting kills
      and with overclock you are almost guaranteed to have one available at all times

    I thought in MW19 if you use 2 field upgrades the first charge of the field upgrade would take as long as the longest one and the recharge time would depend on which field upgrade you use

    I always run DDOS and trophy, DDOS is nice when you're just a bit score short from your next streak
    Also, I think DDOS deserves a video breakdown, I've always wondered the full extent to what it can disable, and if the disable time is different for each item

    If 100 score is 1 second then 1 kill giving 125 points would give you 1.25s reduced, not 12.5 reduced. there is a decimal error I believe.

    As far as the Field Upgrades work, I tend to use them a lot, mostly as a team support / leader role. When I'm playing 6v6, I'm running Recon Drones a lot - even if they are flimsy as all hell - so Overclock helps a ton. Usually I'm with a squad of players who are more aggressive than I, so while I tend to lack in kills, I make them even deadlier by giving them regular bursts of near-godlike awareness, calling out targets in real time and marking them if I can.

    Running overclock + dead silence to pretty much give me almost unlimited silence since the second one charges while the first is active. If I'm playing well I cab hold dead silence for a crazy long time even if I run out occasionally

    Battle rage on paper seems like it would be one of the best field upgrades. But it's not even worth it for me because it makes it so hard to see players on darker maps.

    Over clock should make your field upgrade last longer aswell. Plus it needs to come in quicker in the game, not half way through.

    I think your math is a bit off at 3:20.
    If it's 1 second for every 100 score, then wouldn't 125 score take off 1.25 seconds?
    Or is it 10 seconds per 100 score? Because then it's be 12.5 seconds for 125 score.
    Maybe I'm missing something.

    Overclock dead silence has been really handy in SND! Only downside is if you have 2 field upgrades, it will reset to one for the next round and it’ll restart the charge for the second.

    They basically made it like MW19. I like the PRO feature for having DS and trophy, so I use one for TDM and KC and the other for objective modes like Dom, HQ and HP

    There are some mistakes here:
    1) Obvious mistake at 2:57
    2) From my own testing, Overclock does NOT increase the charge rate by 40% but instead reduces the charge time by 40%, making it actually better than the description says.

      40% of 100% is obviously 40% so you need 60% of the normal amount.
      If you earn 60% and you get an 40% bonus on that 60 (24) you end up at 84%

    Great Video as always Ace, though you did kinda forget some info I feel like. You mentioned the Overclock Perk, confirming it works as expected, though never actually showed the Charge Times for each Field Upgrade with Overclock Equipped.       its not that hard to calculate 40% shorter recharge times, you just multiply the time by 0.6. and im not sure if it works like this, but if it also affects the time reduced by score then every 100 score reduces the recharge by 14 seconds

    Hey Ace - I have a hunch about the disparity in the recharge times.
    Some of the upgrades, like a DDoS or a Suppression Mine, generate a passive score. For instance, every second an enemy is suppressed, 10 points; likewise, you score based on equipment and/or players you scramble.
    Perhaps this is factored into the base times, as running it will naturally speed up the next one.

      It's almost essential on shipment specifically because people die and respawn with more lethals/tacticals constantly so it's a non-stop onslaught of getting flashed/stunned and naded lol.

    the only mode I rely on field upgrades is during invasion. I get a good flank, drop my tactical insert, then I have ammo box as well. its a great system for sniping.

    Anti-armor rounds charge WAY too slowly for the very minor bonus it gives you. In fact, all of the long recharge field upgrades are pretty bad for how slow the recharges are.
    Dead Silence and Battle Rage should both recharge a little faster. I would take 20 seconds off both of them.

      there's overclock to solve that problem
      and dead silence already refresh every kill...
      And as Ace said, every kill reduces the charge time by 12.5 seconds
      so just get more kills and you'll have dead silence in no time
      and keep getting kills to basically have infinite dead silence

    As a DMZ only guy, Anti-armor Rounds confuse the shit out of streamers who die super fast to a kit developed for Anti-armor Rounds. It's the best. Mealt them, back off the engagement zone, wait for their wing men to attempt a res... BOOM!! Teamwipe. (pincers work 100% of the time.)

    deployable cover has essentially ruined Tier one as everyone just places a cover and hides behind trying to get long shots. It’s super common to play games where the entity of both teams are doing this and it’s awful. As a side note I feel this is also due to the fact that every weapon requires long shots for platinum camo. Why we couldn’t have gotten some more original challenges is beyond me

    honestly with how scuffed ghost is in this game, being geared more towards passive players and campers, you could argue that overclock is the best perk for an aggressive player. just run overlock and dead silence or battle rage and run around flanking people. sure they could see you on the map, but since youre an aggressive player and firing your gun all the time anyway they're gonna see you with UAVs anyway even with ghost.
    ghost is more of a hit and run / ambushing type perk now.

    Ddos is great! I use it for hacking purposes but also I use it in a pinch to know if I’m safe. Since it had such a small radius using it to see if you get the emp player exp pop up will tell you if someone is close to you and how many people are in your vicinity. Super good tool for more competitive modes honestly

    Would love to see a video on the DDOS field upgrade. I like using it in hardpoint and hq and it can rack up lots of points if you use it near many enemies and equipment, but I still don't quite understand its range or if the hud indicator telling you how many devices are nearby is accurate or not.

    In my opinion the Tactical Camera and Portable Radar should be closer together.
    If placed well the Camera functions as a radar but you get 2.5 of them.
    I don't think the Portable Radar should be given reduced time (Then it would be MW3 again) rather the Camera should be bumped up to 126 seconds. It is 30 seconds faster so it will add up.

    overclock is a great perk. Very useful regardless if you're running aggressive (dead silence) or being a camper (tactical insertion/munitions box/trophy system)

    I literally use Dead Silence on my right slot for every class, however I change my left hand side around...
    So my charge time will always be at least the length of 96s for dead silence...

    I wish there was a field upgrade like the black hat hacker tactical from BO2 that let's you destroy uavs.
    Sick of running launchers and ap ammo trying to shoot them down

    I would just remove the Deployable Cover and the Tactical Insertion for two important reasons
    1) Removing the Deployable Cover since it allows players to camp more easily and it is used in exploiting glitches in where the user would be invincible
    2) Removing Tactical Insertion because it was used and spammed by boosters

      People camp easier with radars to see you coming and cameras to see you coming.
      Boosting can still be done without TI but boosting doesn't matter when everything has such low caps and people are likely to have them maxed naturally.

    I think they aré all good, is clear they aré all ment to be used Preventively instead of reactively because of how long the animations aré and also the anoying sound of dead silence, i would like a More reactive style but is also valid to have them like they are since most of them are better used to set up a defense or an Ambush, It makes It actually very funny to think of what the enemy team may due

    Hold up, they made a perk that works exactly like it says. That's not possible, we all know theirs always weird interactions with everything. Like Overclock would make you pull out field upgrades with your right hand instead of left or something dumb lol

    people cant really complain about dead silence if your getting kills you should have your first charge in 30 seconds or less and with overclocked you basically never run out especially if your getting constant kills i find in my lobbies very few players sound horing so i've got no need to run it at all even if there was a dead silence perk i wouldn't run it in this game

    Pretty certain last patch notes said they disabled all XP or score boosts for field upgrades and grenades and tactical gear

    I use trophies in shipment all the time. A lot of points with my shipment loadout. double tactical, double lethal. tear gas and thermite.

    Good work, Ace. How bout a tier 1 review. Im sure you can get a 8-10 video mostly complaints. The cheaters use mode cause your assailants are not displayed. And I think devs do listen to some creators like you. HC needs a comeback, tier one doesnt work. But i still play it , core is not my thing. Keep up the great work.

    I’m curious about loadout drop & munitions box. Loadout drops give you full launcher ammo & tact equipment compared to munitions 1 each? Besides one has to be dropped & the other doesn’t lol.

    I think the field upgrades are fine this year but I would like a slight buff to the ammo crate give some more ammo for most weapons
