I had just clicked on the link, and this is what was stated on that particular model; Black Feather Intake 6 versions available Currently Not Available
They stock intake set up sucks hot air off of the front cylinder head and guides it onto the air filter. Just removing the bedpan cover would allow mostly cool air to go in the filter. However. the mounting bracket behind the filter wold not look good. Eliminating all of the stock filter and mounting looks cleaner and more open. You can see the beautiful heads better. But then you need some special mounting brackets to hold the filter on. Our kit supplies that plus the feathers add a touch to it.
If you only add the filter you do not need to modify the bike computer or fuel. If you add the filter and a more free flowing exhaust, you will then need more fuel. There are several ways to to do this. An update from Indian will not be enough. You will need to add a Power commander chip and new program. But I like better is a fuel chip. These will make the computer supply more fuel and do not require any programming or new MAPS. I sell two kinds at www.IndianAftermarket.com
If you also add a free flow exhaust you need to get more fuel or the bike will run too lean. There are several ways to do this. Indian can install a stage One MAP and that will help a lot.YOu can also install a Power Commander computer and have the bike tuned. Or you can install a fuel computer such as Dobeck EJK or Tier1Tuner. I sell the later two at www.IndianAftermarket.com

I noticed a dipstick with a gage on that bike. What is that?
Is there any calibration required with this filter?
