The MDA Labor Day Telethon was an enchanting yearly variety show that ran for half a century. Hosted for many years by Jerry Lewis, the telethon featured top stars from the world of music, comedy, and Broadway and was like no other show on earth.
The telethon was created to help support the Muscular Dystrophy Association, which is leading the fight against muscular dystrophy. MDA dedicates itself to strength, independence and life. To learn more about MDA and to donate, please visit www.MDA.org.

I saw a couple of his scits back in the 90s didn't think much. I just stumbled across some this week and he's actually makes me chuckle...

I love his little giggle in between jokes😂. It’s adorable
He's making a lot of jokes about being ugly, it makes me feel bad for him, especially as he got addicted to plastic surgery later on. He's quirky but he's not ugly, and he's got a fun personality and a lot of energy. Honestly his material isn't as bad as people joked about back in the day, it goes so quickly so if there is a dud its over and then you get a good one, plus he embraces the cheesiness of his act which makes it work.
you're getting it wrong, when a comedian wants to joke about being ugly they gotta start mentioning themselves, otherwise people will think they're uptight and their first reaction at his jokes would be the typical: "have you seen yourself in the mirror?"

Always liked Carrot Top. I would get excited as a kid when he came on. Not for everyone, but definitely hits you with alot of unique jokes.
He's a legend.
i think his routine goes over a lot of peoples heads. they find him insufferable but even he knows not all of his gags get laughs but it's not the point. It's like watching a bizzaro wacky inventor and pitching new ideas to his boss. sometimes it's funny, some time's it's lame but no one else would have come up with these props. it's like you take the bad jokes with the good jokes as part of a whole.
i personally enjoy his shtick. always get at least a hearty chuckle out of it
@@TheDeathclawhunter My main problem with him, is that I've noticed when he gets a good laugh out of people, he sometimes milks the joke by trying to add to it, and it completely ruins it.

Older comedians loved Carrot Top (like Jerry Lewis and others born in the early 20th Century). Carrot Top was a bridge between generations because he didn't follow the trend of "let me be as vulgar as possible". He would've been a superstar in the 1940's---1960's, also.

CT is a great performer. Comedy is of the hardest crafts ever. Much harder than Broadway imo. No team to back you up. This performance was a bit of a bomb but the crowd looked rough. Always a fan.
I just heard about him from a celeb interview and don't know why people don't like him, the jokes aren't that funny but i kinda feel bad too, like he just spends all day making one time use props and people think he's ugly too. tbh though I'm really fascinated by his face. its really really interesting
