Good to see the Ben Crawford buddies showing up
Where were they?
@@KMEmez they were everywhere 😹 cooper , reed and the third guy
that legendary summer pack really tearing it up out here
Javier Reyes facts its fire seeing the work they put in and now its paying off
Nobody’s gonna talk about how goddamn smooth Charlie hunter looks in the whole 800?!! He never tensed up once and split 1:46. Dude is crazy
ok yea I was waiting for this comment
Yeah, great leg.
bro i know omg
That stride
Looked like he was jogging.
If there was anybody who could beat Cooper in a kick, I thought it was Romo from Ole Miss. Coop really the goat
Let's not get carried away now... the GOAT? Na remember King chez?
@@nolanmckennaruns yeah I don't think you can really match SEVENTEEN ncaa titles
@@nolanmckennaruns Cooper is a better miler than Ches was in college, and has also run faster over 5000m with another outdoor season of eligibility left. No doubt, Ches is the greatest racer of all time in NCAA history, but Cooper will have a respectable career of his own once he’s done. I don’t think 13:10 is out of the question outdoors for 5000m and he could also do very well at the Olympic Trials. Not ready to make the team but definitely top ten in the U.S. potential
@@nolanmckennaruns coop broke his mile record by 2 seconds. A sophomore also beat his record. So cooper technically is the goat of the mile.
Uh cole hocker just out kicked him in the 3k
No disrespect to the broadcasters, but they keep giving wrong info. Reed Brown did make it into the mile finals on time. Second, Teare isn’t only running the DMR. The list of errors go on. I know it’s a difficult job, but the least they can do is ensure their info is correct. Track and Field is already not a frequent televised sport. When it is, make sure you’re stating facts.
Facts man. I’ve said for so long these announcers get so much wrong
Facts
Couldn’t have said better
WORD.
The other guy corrected him when he said Teare was only running this event though
The UNC 800 meter runner really went out in 22 seconds lmao
he went out in 25
@@doubleagaming554 lol yeah, i got the starting points mixed up
@@doubleagaming554 that's still the same pace as rudisha's world record so idk what he was doing
@@dolphinreacts532 yeah i agree idk why 800 runners feel the need to blast the first 200/400 (though maybe leading the national championship relay messes with perspective)
@@doubleagaming554 he fucked up by still pushing that 2nd 200m, a 25s first 200 is legit nothing for D1 800 guys. You don’t even split an 800...
Can’t lie, it feels so good to see Oregon winning this event!
They would’ve beat their record if their 400 left didn’t stumble
Nah.
its more your competition than anything. if some other team was game to break it oregon would have broken it. teare left some in the tank because he didnt need it. the 400 has little to do with dmr
Plus they didn’t have Cole hocker on the 1200 leg
Hell of a race
CEO with a fire 1200 leg.
CEO THREW DOWN💯
If you can't do top three first leg den I don't wanna hear no chat about numbers...
Huh? Didn’t y’all lose? 😂 soo much for alphas.
@@JesuslovesMoney One second off the national record against the team that set the record... seems pretty alpha to me.
Probably should get people that know what they’re talking about and get Kyle Merber and Chris Chavez to announce all televised track events from here on out
who?
Thank god this is free to watch
9:19 and they ran somewhat tactical races 3 of 4 legs... that's pretty insane!
Bruh cooper looked like he was jogging the first 800 of that last leg
Thought he was finna break a record😂
that fist pump at the end by teare was so sick
Why is he saying Reed Brown didn't make the mile final he got in on time lol
Lmao he also said that Notre Dame won the dmr in 2018 , lmao no they won in 2019 , V tech won in 2018 .
@@luisdelreal9061 He also said Coop isnt in anything else then the other commentator was like "uh nah he's in the 3k too" dude was all over the place today
@@luisdelreal9061 yeah who can forget Nuguse for the Irish beating Grant Fisher in 2019
Oregon's Copper wasn't running for time, he was running for points. That's why he suppressed the pace during the first 5 or 6 laps. The other runners made a mistake in following him but maybe they were too afraid to challenge him. Or maybe they wanted to go for points as well. Overall fantastic race.
One of the most iconic Oregon races
WesFly Athletics CEO running a fine 1200m opening leg out in front. Ole Miss could have won this race for sure if the talent pool at Oregon was not so unbelievably DEEEEP. So much talent in the NCAA this year in general, thank god they are putting it on display, would be such a shame if this year had gone to waste like last year.
Reed brown did get in on the mile
Trevor Wallace running that 1600 for ol miss 😂
These guys are in college but they run so experienced. No going out too fast, even their 400 guy slowed down bc he was jostled
Except for the UNC 800 runner. I think he got a bit too excited to be out front because he knew nobody was expecting UNC to be there at that point in the race
Yo NCAA uploading races at all??? And this soon after the race??? Very surprised, but big fan of this!
Isaiah Palmers 400 leg was insano
I totally agree!
3:53 anchor and looked smooth the whole way...
Get the men’s 5k on the channel!!!
Should be on now - had some upload delays! Thanks for following.
These long distance relays are hilarious. Interesting innovation.
How could they not know Smolders right away!!! Wes Fly all world 👌👍
CEO holdin' it DOWN!!!
Looks like Oregon taking it all
Was coopers leg 3:52?
3:56
He crossed the finish line after taking the handoff in 5:26.9 and winning time was 9:19.9. That's a 3:53.0. It looked like he split about 59,60,59 & 54 that's 3:52 and up to 3:53 with the tenths of seconds on each split.
@@buckfiden2594 9:19:54 I thought he ran 3:51
3:52.99
@@yellowplatypus2342 no
Where’s Cole hocker on the Oregon 12?
was running mile and 3k. won both and the dmr, so oregon played it right
CEO putting in that work!!!
why cooper teare not doing the mile?
the 3k and dmr is already a lot it's not worth it to forfeit a potential really good performance in two other events to have a much lower chance of success in three events
@@kaismithley6173 yeah i know that. Was just wondering why he picked 3k over mile if he’s record holder. Then I realized Oregon is going for the team title so putting him in 3k and cole in mile vs other way around
his bud cole hocker is doing the mile, that way they both have chances of getting championship titles.
"this is the flex"
No one’s gonna mention this 6:51
Arjun Jha!!
why do you insist on putting the result in the description?!!!... just why??!!!.. why??!!!.
Why not?
CEO🔥
the thing is, none of the oregon guys pushed it, they all were relaxed... they could have blown the record out of the water... for god's sake, their not even running their full A team here
💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼what did coop run 3:50 3:51 mile
3:52.99
9:19... 😧
I don’t see why it’s so hard for an official to tell the athletes that once they’ve passed the baton to move to the inside and don’t turn to the outside. That’s where you get all that confusion and clustering. The person behind them is going to be to the outside
Goddamn all fast asf
they make me feel so slow
I know the broadcasters are a lot more enthusiastic during baseball basketball and football. They must just really not care about track and on top of that they keep giving the wrong info 💀.
What's the point of this race if it always comes down to the last leg?
Every relay comes down to the last leg 😂
@@cjcurtis8944 Not really, Relays that have equal distance legs contribute equally. This thing is silly having such short distance legs in between 2 longer ones and the longest one in the end just allows people to catch up.
@@uowebfoot if you’ve watched enough of these over the years the earlier legs often do have an impact in the final leg.
ehhhh webfoot has a point, I've watched DMRs (and ran) since 2014 - statistically, it usually comes down to the mile legs. Remember when IOWA had like a 70-80 meter lead in recent years (thanks to the effort of the 1st 3 legs)? Got gobbled up by nuguse and grant fisher - that being said, I find it was of exciting relays to watch

What is this sorcery
You write this as if most people know what "DMR" is. I have never heard of this before, (and I ran track and field in jr. & high school).
Of course I know all the events of a "Decathlon." Never heard of "DMR" before this video.
It’s only contested indoors. High schoolers don’t compete indoors as a rule. It’s been around for indoor track and field for a long time.
I see. Yes, my track & field was always outside.
