Final Fantasy 12 The Zodiac Age Chaos Esper
Chaos is the final boss of the Necrohol of Nabudis optional dungeon. He can either be hard or easy(ish) depending on your pre-battle setup. I show you the method I use which seems pretty fool proof so hopefully this will be a nice help to you.

Final Fantasy 12 was first released way back in 2006 on the PS2. At the time, it was considered somewhat controversial by many Final Fantasy fans due to its departure from traditional FF gameplay. However, it is now looked back on fondly and many would consider Final Fantasy XII to be the best entry in the franchise. In 2007 the International Zodiac edition was released (in Japan only), and this version of the game included a more traditional job-based system and a new battle areana. For this remastered release, these additional changes are being brought to us fans in the West for the first time ever - along with high resolution textures and remastered soundtrack!

I never knew gil throw was so lucrative against Chaos. Money well spent 👍
This boss fight was very memorable for me, mostly because he glitched himself during my battle right after he dose that attack when he’s at half health.
After he did the attack he ended up paralyzed and couldn’t do ANYTHING but stand there. My guess is it had something to due with the disk being very damaged but it worked out!
I’ll remember this strategy when my hard copy shows up in the mail.
Telekinesis also help, it's basically "Attack" from afar

Wow this was by far the longest journey ever to have to obtain chaos esper. Three medallions the necrohol the other monster hunts and the two bosses as well as that horse thing as nd the ghosts golems and finally chaos himself. Oh man cheers and thankyou so much Fuzz but im absolutely nackered lol
Dont forget horology and telekenesis! Scathe is great too is you have it! And put 1000 needles on reddas so he can actually help with the dmg.
This makes me wonder if it would be possible to do a "kill Yiazmat only with Gil" challenge? The only damage you do must come from Gil Toss, and any casters must have a Turtleshell Choker on so they never expend a point of MP, but instead cast out of your reserve of Gil.

I played this game all those years ago when it came out on PS2, just to realize that I never battled this Esper. I think back in the day I only managed to defeat 12 Espers. The only things I missed out were these three creatures locked in Necrohol Of Nabudis and Omega MK XII. I remember taking an hour and 27min to defeat Yazmat. But Omega was just impossible for me, so I gave up. Now these creatures I just didn't know how to get the medallions.
Always thought Gil Toss was shit, now i'm gonna farm some money just to wreck him more easily XD
wow with gill toss and the setup you had I dont know if I stole from him or not it was over in like 30 seconds...and yea confuse even tho I had everyone set up to throw nu whatever for confuse thats the first theing he hit all my party with except reddas...go figure But somehow I got thru the cunfuse and he was done
OR you can just use Scathe and Dark Magic Flame which does magic damage but does not count as elemental
I used 99 knots of rust lol I was under prepared
I think that I got lucky the 4th time around with Gil Toss. I used it the 3rd time but he kept throwing Aqua something at me. The 4th time he didn't
I realized the esper thing too late and screwed myself out of getting yagyu dark blade I've only got to get 3 more espers but I wish I'd known it sooner oh well😂😂😂

This boss is a jocke with 2 BLM (flare and scathe)
FuzzFingerGaming this was a tough one. The phoenix Downs, hi potions, X Potions, and the white healing magicks helped out a lot. I had everyone use Horology until Chaos's health dropped a little below 50% and finished him off with quickenings. 13 HITS TOTAL!!!💀💀💀

I like the idea of Gil Toss, but for players who dont have Gil Toss, or dont have enough money to use it, this should have been done differently, without the use of Gil Toss.
scathe or shock works well
Souleater, Horology, 1000 needles, Telekinesis, motes, and non elemental black magicks all work as well. There’s no shortage of ways to deal with this boss
even bio black magic can cheese this esper

You lose 10000 of gil though but if it works eh why not I guess LOL
